The rooms are what you would expect at a Hampton Inn, clean and nothing out of the ordinary. What was out of the ordinary was how friendly and helpful all of the hotel staff were, from the front desk workers to the cleaning and kitchen crew. Can't say enough how great they all were. I tried to change reservations from February 18 to February 13 due to a change in baby delivery. No vacancies, so it was supposedly canceled. I physically went in to the desk on the 13th. to be sure it was canceled. This hotel is a total ripoff. Clean rooms, great staff! But the doors to the rooms are made very poorly. Typical slamming of doors from other guests that have no respect for shared spaces but these doors are so loud, louder than normal. I was up every hour to people slamming doors, yelling in the hallways through out the night. Got no sleep here. Will not stay here again due to the noise levels in this hotel. read more

I think the Hampton Inn Statesboro is a good, basic hotel. My wife and I enjoyed our stay here. Also known as Hampton by Hilton, this hotel opened in 2013, across the street from the Walmart Neighborhood Market and next door to the hospital (East Georgia Regional Medical Center). Also next door is a new Chipotle which just opened in 2021. Statesboro is all grown up now. ;) First, I have to give a shout-out to front desk worker Evan, 2019 graduate of Southeast Bulloch High School (IIRC). He was awesome. Very nice guy who provided excellent customer service. A hard worker too, as he told us this was his second job, selling paint at Benjamin Moore being the first. Evan took great care of us. The lady at the front desk the day we checked out was polite and kind too. And so was the housekeeper lady we saw on our way out. So, good people all around as far as we could tell, work at this Hampton Inn in Statesboro. We got room 401 on the 4th floor (top floor) for three nights, after tax, for $359.40. The actual nightly rates varied, but this worked out to an average of $119.80 per night after taxes. These were Hilton Honors nonrefundable rates. The room had a king bed and standard features and amenities. The room was clean and in good condition. It looked just like the pictures we saw online. Oftentimes, that's not the case, so I commend Hampton by Hilton for that. This hotel has 90 rooms. If I had to nitpick, the TV was a little small compared to other hotel room TVs, most of which are big these days. Also, the TV wasn't smart, so it didn't have apps like Netflix, Prime Video, and YouTube, but that was OK. At least it had live HD channels like ESPN. The bathroom was stocked with only the bare essentials: thin bars of soap and two-in-one shampoo and conditioner. Plenty of towels, though. If needed, things like toothbrushes and toothpaste can be requested from the front desk, compliments of the hotel. It took an unusually long time for the shower water temperature to heat up each day. I wonder what was up with that. Some of the bed pillows were too flat. Both my wife and I prefer sturdy, supportive pillows. Also, the office desk chair arm was damaged and the seat had stains on it. I actually put a towel down on the seat so I didn't have to sit on the stains... whatever they were. Generally speaking, we had a clean and comfortable stay. The thermostat and HVAC unit worked well. The bed was nice and comfy. So comfy, I slept in until about noon one day. The free Wi-Fi internet was fast and reliable enough, at least for our purposes. We enjoyed both the light and dark roast coffee, hot chocolate, and chocolate chip cookies in the lobby / dining room. We missed breakfast, but the little breakfast buffet room they have did look decent. There's a tiny two-computer business center, snack shop (slim pickings), and small gym and outdoor pool. Sometimes, we would take the stairs instead of the elevator for exercise. The stairwell closest to our room was relatively nice (weird to say about a stairwell), clean, carpeted, and quiet. There was plenty of parking and the property felt safe. It was really laid back (kind of dead) and very easy to get in and out. This Hampton Inn is consistent with and epitomizes the lifestyle in Statesboro: convenient and relaxed. read more

I stayed here with my husband and our two daughters while he was in town for an interview, and it was one of the least comfortable hotels we've ever stayed in. Granted, we normally stay in higher-end hotels, but the noise level in the rooms was not tolerable. At two in the morning, a man came back to the room next to ours and had a conversation with the woman he was with that was so loud, it woke us all up out of a dead sleep. They carried on for an hour, then watched TV at an absurd volume, and then finally went to sleep, where we heard him snore through the walls for the rest of the night. We could hear him snore through the walls! That has never happened in my entire life. The next day, two women yelled at each other across the hall and then stood outside our door to have an incredibly loud conversation for half an hour, and as soon as they left, housekeeping showed up to bang on doors and scream at each other from one room to another, cursing and carrying on like they were out on the town and not actually doing a job. As they left rooms, they just let the doors slam closed behind them. It was the loudest hotel I've stayed in during my 46 years on this earth. On top of that, the bed is not comfortable and the pillows are far too soft, which left my neck aching and triggered a migraine. I wouldn't stay here again if they paid me. read more

This was a disappointing experience to say the least. That being said everyone was very nice and friendly, with the exception of one of the evening clerks. I have waited 2 days since check out to give management a chance to respond to feedback left with clerk at checkout. There has been no response. There was no housekeeping for a 5 night stay. When I inquired I was asked, "Did you request it at check in? It is the guests responsibility to ask for that?" This blew me away. I asked "Housekeeping or a refresh is done after how many nights?" I was told, "It will never happen unless it is requested." That is not true or part of the Hampton Inn or Hilton policy. They allowed dogs to roam freely through the hotel with owners, not leashed, including in the breakfast area. Even at the large table where others were already seated and eating. The washing machine in the guest laundry did not work. The pool was "down". Half, yes actually half of the total number of machines in the fitness center were broken or non functional. There was no peloton bike as advertised. As I Diamond member I asked for a late check out I was told no because they were sold out. This was verified to be a lie upon checking out the next morning. The "pantry" was completely empty. You couldnt have bought anything if you needed it. There was nothing None of these things are huge in isolation, together they are a testament to the quality and lack of integrity at the Statesboro Hampton Inn. read more

I was a little nervous after reading a few reviews. Once I arrived I realized there was no reason for concern. I arrived after 10pm and the night clerk he was very pleasant and the check in went smoothly. He even told me where I should park to have better access to my room. The hotel and room were very clean and I felt very safe seeing the side door had to be accessed with a key which did not happen at a recent Hampton I stayed in. All of the staff were very nice and offered assistance if I needed it during my 3 night stay. The fresh cookies at the front were an added bonus each evening when I returned and the breakfast bar was one of the best I have had at a Hampton. Everything was nice and fresh. If in the area again I will certainly stay again. The pool is still under renovation but definitely was not a game changer for someone on a work trip. Also don't want to leave out the clerk when I checked out although it was early morning she was very friendly and didn't hesitate to help me get on my way with a smile and wish for safe travels. Stayed here for the second time. The first time was back in May, this time it was over Thanksgiving week. Since it was a holiday week, I really didn't expect much. I thought maybe there would be less employees about, the room wouldn't be tidied up every day and I was OK with that. Heck I wasn't gonna be there most the time as I have family in the area and I was going to be spending a lot of time with them. Anyway back to my experience. On Thanksgiving morning I was surprised to find the housekeeping staff asking if they could change our towels or give us more coffee and creamer packs. they asked if we needed our room service which I told them we didn't but came back later to find everything had been restocked. The Management has changed. Our Family Reunion for 2023 was held here ( Statesboro) in July. They had one employee at check-in for 30 people or more. She did the best she could, but no one helped her. The Manager came and left while she worked alone. That was the last time we have seen him. It's now 6 pm and no rooms were ready. We had to wait. When we finally got our key and reached our room the bathroom was so dirty. The next day at breakfast they were understaffed. The appliances were outdated. Broken buttons etc. The day of checkout A staff member enters our room with her master key and walks into our room before check-out. She walks in unannounced. We were undressed. Checked out at 11 am. When I went to the front desk to make a complaint to the Manager. This girl named DeeJay ( Deejanay) said there was no manager. She was very disrespectful. I told her what happened. She advised me that I quote "It happens " I told her it was unacceptable. DeeJay claimed he was at another property. I start loading my vehicle. DeeJay comes outside to the parking lot while we were loading our vehicle. She said Miss your being extra! I work for GOD! WE WORK HARD! She was shouting and other residents were there watching. She continued to yell at us. She appeared as if she wanted to strike me. I told her that her behavior was unnecessary. She refused to retreat. I will follow up with the Hilton Corporate. Arrived at 4:45 and room wasn't ready which seems fairly odd and many other guests attempting to check in also were being told their rooms weren't ready. Went to dinner and came back an hour later and room was being "checked" and they needed another 20-30 minutes. Having a non refundable reservation there wasn't much I could do. Came back a bit later and room was ready but the halls were lined with dirty linens. Room seems fine but this hotel has already lost my business going forward. read more

Always great staying here. Very nice rooms, clean, good maintenance, and that great Hampton breakfast! And the prices here are better than at the other two good hotels in Statesboro. I have no idea why Priceline only rates this 2.5 stars; it should easily be 3. Maybe it has to do with a full serve restaurant? But I really like this place; it's my preference. This hotel is brand spanking new. It is very close to the college, if that is the reason you are in town. It is in a cool looking area with lots of restaurants nearby, like McAlister's Deli, Shane's Rib Shack and others. Plus Walmart and tons of other shops and restaurants are right down the road. This is one of the nicest Hampton Inns I have stayed in. It was clean and the service was polite. They have Neutrogena products in the bathroom, which I like (the body lotion in particular is moisturizing and it doesn't have an offensive odor). One of the most notable things about this new hotel is that they have fans in the bathrooms. I like to take a shower and have the fan dissipate the steam. I don't know why all hotels don't have fans in the bathroom. Plus if you are sharing the room with someone else it is nice to have the fan to dissipate the smell if you happen to "use" the bathroom. read more

Very professional all the way around!! breakfast is great for the most part just the fake eggs not a big fan. You do have other choices, like making waffles!! The hotel seems quite new and is in a good location. Everything is clean and the staff is very professional. All in all, one of the nicer Hamptons I've visited. I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't for some kind of loud machinery nose that started around 10 PM and intermittently woke us up through the night. When it first started, I told the night manager about it, but he couldn't find the source. After 10 minutes or so, it quit and I thought everything was good. Unfortunately, not the case. Maybe it is just the to the location of our room (avoid 128), but since I was in the hotel primarily to sleep and couldn't, I can't give it a by higher rating. read more

Great location if you are visiting Georgia Southern. I went here to attend my Friends Sons last Baseball Games at Georgia Southern. The hotel is in a great location right across from the campus. The rooms were cleaned nicely but could use a little updating....the rooms were very quiet at night and most importantly the air conditioning worked very well. The Staff was very friendly and accomodating and the continental breakfast had everything you would need to start the day off right. This is a good hotel, in a great location and the staff was very pleasant. I would stay here again and recommend it as well. read more

I had reserved a room for us and one for my folks. My folks couldn't travel so my in laws used the room. I was charged for our room and the 2nd room even though I explained that my in laws would be paying for theirs. Explained it again when checking out and my in laws explained it when checking out a little later. The motel also charged my brother in law twice but refunded one of them the very next day. I've been dealing with them since 9/30/19 and they have not refunded my money yet. They have very nice clean rooms and an ok motel breakfast but I wouldn't stay there unless you pay cash. Can you imagine if this had been a corporate charge that was not checked into. Ridiculous!!! read more

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel and their staff. We were one of the many families that evacuated Miami, FL heading up north in an efforts to escape Hurricane Irma. Heading up the state we started realizing how quickly hotels were filling up. We managed to make it to Statesboro, Georgia and was lucky enough to find one hotel (that was not so accommodating) for the night. While we were able to get 2 rooms, there were 8 of us in total and after that night the hotel was going to be booked with other guests that had already reserved there stay so we were going to all have to cram into one room. Luckily, we received a call from this hotel (after visiting and leaving our name and number just in case they were to have rooms available) from the general manager. Tarshell (who by the way is AMAZING). She was kind enough to remember us and offered us 2 rooms for my family. After being on the road for so many hours, stressed, anxious, and just so distraught being in an unknown location and not knowing what was going to happen next or where we were going to stay, this hotel came in and saved us! From there on out, the next couple of days spent there were comforting, to say the least. This hotel went above and beyond for their customers considering the circumstances with the storm. They ended up losing power for 5 hours and they did all that they could for us. Mrs. Shirley made sure we had food throughout that time frame, made sure everyone was okay, and did way more than what she should've! They treated us as if we were one big family. Customers were still coming in throughout the storm and even though their system was down they were still trying to accommodate every person that walked through those doors. Again, I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. We were so lucky and blessed to have come across them. Top notch customer service!!!! read more

This is the best hotel option in the area. It seems to be new or recently renovated. There are many amenities included. The entire space was very clean. The breakfast is phenomenal (waffle maker, feral, hot oatmeal, pastries, yogurts, juices, teas, coffee, etc). Both the morning and evening staff were friendly and helpful, too.
