I reserved a room through Priceline on June 8, 2026, for my wife and myself, about an hour prior to our arrival at the hotel. When we arrived at the hotel, we were told that the elevators were not working, and our room would be on the fourth floor. That would have been impossible for us because I am 81 years old and am a heart patient and have blood cancer. My wife is 79 years old and walks with cane. There was no way we could manage luggage and other baggage to the fourth floor. We asked if we could cancel the reservation, and the desk clerk said she cancelled it for us. However, we were still charged $194.97, even though we did not stay at the hotel. I worked through Priceline to obtain a refund, but the hotel has refused to refund the charge. I also have filed a dispute with my bank. My advice is do not stay at this hotel! read more

This place made a great first impression, but first impressions can be wrong. No problem at check-in; the girl was very nice. And the room looked nice when we walked in. It had new carpet that felt clean. Even the bathroom looked okay at a glance, and I was quite amused to find the same sliding shower doors my home had in the 1970s and 80s. BUT: walking around barefoot, I soon discovered that the area around the toilet was sticky (gross!!!). The toilet had, at best, rust stains that looked bad. Paint on the ceiling was peeling. And the caulk around the shower and toilet was both moldy and failing badly. The area under the sink was very dirty too. And the lamp beside my bed didn't work. The breakfast was okay for a free breakfast, but didn't compare well vs. the offerings of peer hotel chains. The sausage was as good as I've had at a hotel, but the scrambled eggs, sitting in water, were very unappealing. I'd gladly give up the little can of Pringles and the cute towel-dog in exchange for an actually-clean floor in the bathroom. read more

We always stay with the Hilton group and generally love Hampton Inn. But this Hampton Inn is falling apart. There were multiple tiles in the bathroom that were just laying there. The room was in need of a major deep clean. It is very dated as well. read more

This is the absolute worst Hampton inn we have ever experienced. From getting sent to a third party after calling hotel number and getting charged $49 more than expected / to a broken hot tub to a pool filled with bugs so much you can't swim in the INSiDE pool to a carpet with so many stains it looks like a day care center with no cleaning crew to a flower pot at front door filled with trash can outside to a rat running across the parking lot to that very filled trashy flower pot to a room smelling like a bottle of cheap aftershave to absolutely no management on premises. This was a disappointment all around. And with no management on duty and the 1-800 customer number telling me to go speak to the manager - whom doesn't exist on this premises. Just the worst experience. And with a storm and tornado watch - no way we can go anywhere else. This makes us wish we had gone to holiday inn. We never imagined having such a terrible and gross experience at a Hampton. Do not go to this Hampton inn. Go anywhere but this hotel. Since no management was available. Customer service was great at the front desk. My light was out in my hotel room so I was a little frustrated that got missed during the cleaning but went down stairs and they rectified the issue quickly. read more

The 1st room I got I walk in and the AC sounded like a fan belt broke on a Ford Taurus. I turned off the AC and took my boats off. As my foot touched the carpet, my socks Immediately soaked... I was like WTH. The carpet was soaking in water from a massive refrigerator leak... went downstairs to get another room. The showers are crusty and felt like I was going to get athletes foot. Not the cleanest hotel that for sure. Parking is horrible and when I parked, 3 families tailgating like is a football game making loud noise. My new room has a better AC but old school with thermostat on the unit and loud. I'm a Diamond member and expect so much more from Hilton affiliates. I contacted Hilton Honors and the Hampton Inn directly in Sweetwater,Tx. I called them. I did an online chat, I emailed. All I wanted to do was cancel a reservation due to a family emergency. They would not cancel and refund our money. So sad. We are a loyal customer. We booked it 5 months in advance and now cannot make it. They stated it was the way I booked it. I made a mistake and did not mean to book it with AAA discount or whatever they said I did. I am old and made a mistake. It would have been so simple for Hilton Honors/Hampton to cancel and refund however they chose not to. Basically spitting in the face of a loyal customer. Something so simple and they refused to refund our money. We truly wanted to go to the Rattlesnake Roundup in Sweetwater and now can't make it. Do better Hilton and Hampton Inn. So very sad that you don't care about the customer. read more

This was one of my worst hotel stays ever with the Hilton name. I was in for business and two mornings that I had to be at work and be presentable there was no hot water. Definitely not one I will be frequenting any time soon. read more

It was a nice hotel but even with my AAA discount, I didn't get a better price than when I would have booked online five minutes before getting there. Not sure how online booking a minute before getting to the hotel is supposed to be cheaper for them but ok. At least you lost two stars for that. read more

DO NOT STAY HERE - FILTHY!!! The EXCUSE the staff gave for all the issues was their supply truck did not arrive in May (3 months prior) and even though they are located across the street from a Walmart, no one could go over. - they don't have a vacuum - they sweep the carpet with a broom - NO WATER IN THE HOTEL eating area - the water spout on the machine is broken and they do not provide bottled water, If you wanted water - better drive over to Walmart! - No Soap - still waiting on that supply truck - No Towels - must be on the supply truck - Ran out of breakfast, except for cereal. I spilled about a 1/3 of my bowl and the hampton worker came over with a broom and handed it to me to clean up - no problem - it was my mess - but she didn't have a dustpan and expected me to sweep it down the hall to the trash can - um? no There is a La Quinta next door - stay there! read more

For a Hampton, it's trashed. Carpets are stained in the hallways, my room curtain in my room is torn and bed skirt has a stain that I can only explain as an old blood stain. The elevator is just disgusting. Breakfast was a joke. Small boxes of cereal and nasty old waffles? WTF?? For $150 a night the only saving grace was a fairly decent bed. My family and I travel and pass trug this place at least twice a year, and now that Odessa is as expensive as NY (with a " subtle hint" of oil smell) we have to come up with other places to stay for the night and rest. We always stay in Hampton Inns just because we found out this are the cleanest and affordable hotels that are easy to find. This particular hotel was not as clean as the rest of them, so that's why I'm only giving them 3 stars. First hotel I have ever reviewed. Terribly maintained hotel, checked in and the lobby restroom toilet is overflowing into the hall and into the fitness room. The poor young receptionist was trying to suck up all the toilet water. Obviously he's not trained nor has the right tools to clean it up, so I skip the fitness room my first night. The next night there is a strong mildew odor in the hall and fitness room but used it anyway. As I'm working our toilet water starts coming out from between the fitness pads, because they didn't remove the equipment and pads to clean underneath. Other problems, second floor exit sign is hanging from the ceiling by wires and a bad soft spot in hall floor. The adjoining room door will not lock with the deadbolt. My room door card quit working 3 times, after the 3rd time they attempted to reset it again and had to tell them to give me a new card. I had to call the front desk to get someone to show up to reset my card. Sewage smell coming from sink sometimes. Room lighting is terrible and the TV remote has to be about 2 feet away to work and most of the time it won't even turn if on by the remote. I won't be back any time soon, losing this Diamond Member's business. I will start an IHG or Wyndham Honors program first. read more

Main door installed upside down, so have to open it by pulling up. Bathroom door won't shut nor lock (the door bolt is misaligned). Molding in the shower. Tub won't drain properly. Bed skirt filthy. Found a bunched up blanket in closet that reaked of perfume (100% sure it was used). Beds are rock hard and you can feel the springs. Ac/heater filters were thick with dust as if they haven't been cleaned in a long time. Breakfast was meh, eggs tasted funny, no flavored creamer (or creamer of any kind), no bacon, and the "Yukon gold" potatoes were actually cheap russet potatoes. Hot tub was lukewarm at best, we've stayed multiple times and the hot tub probably worked ¼ of the time. This place used to be our go-to place to stay but has definitely gone down hill. 10/10 would not recommend read more

This is the nastiest hotel on I-20 West of Dallas. Sad for a Hilton property. The management ran out of food and soap??? Went to Walmart and got Great Value Yogurt (the sound of the spoon on cheap plastic makes me cringe) and bar soap. How do you run out of soap. That's a management issue.....I have a habit of stripping the sheets and putting them in the shower just to make sure I get a clean comforter and the mattress had piss stains. The carpet was disgusting on the elevator and hallways. The water for tea was cold each morning. I couldn't take it any longer so I had to check out and drive to Snyder which was way nicer. I am a Hilton diamond member and prefer Hilton products like Hampton Inn. This was a first for me: A room with no luggage rack or soap and its floor had not been vacuumed. At breakfast the next morning there was no fruit, the juice machine was broken, the oatmeal had no raisins or brown sugar. The staff were friendly and polite and said the hotel wasn't doing well so no vacuuming, soap, fruit, juice, etc. I realize it is not their fault the hotel isn't doing well but it brings the brand down when they let a group bring in a grill and, right outside the guest rooms on the sidewalk on the left of the hotel, let a large group of laborers not staying there grill their dinner, play loud music, then dump the ashes on the sidewalk. read more

We booked a room here while we were passing through town. It came time to put our children to bed and couldn't help but notice that it smelled terribly of cigarette smoke thanks to the people in the room next to us. Additionally, the AC was not working in our room. We talked to the front desk who said we couldn't switch to another room and they would not knock on the smoker's door to tell them to stop smoking. We asked for a refund which they would not provide us either. Do not stay at this awful place. read more

The facility is dated, with no attempts at updating, not even fresh paint. Broken and stained furniture. Water stains and paint spatter on the bedskirts. NOT to any Hilton standard! The hotel itself has a sound structure. However, the shower was clogged this morning, the carpets are dirty and needed shampooing,and they forgot my wake up call. In addition to all of this, the pool was over chlorinated so they had to let the chlorine evaporate and the pool was closed. In the morning, the complementary breakfast buffet did not get refilled, and the coffee was cold. Complaining to the front desk yielded a "well I guess I need to tell the management about this". On top of all that the front desk personnel had to check with housekeeping, whether or not I could delay my departure by one hour to get a late checkout. read more

A good Hampton in the middle of nowhere. Been here a few times. I think I have high expectations of Hampton, so I'll hit the negatives first: *Atrocious traffic noise on the highway side. That highway goes 24/7. I don't know why hotels can't be offset a little from these roads. For that matter, there are some pass-thru doors in some rooms so it's possible to hear your neighbor's TV, which can be annoying. *Despite the town's name, the city water doesn't taste that good, and the hotel water from the cooler tasted and smelled like pool water. Yuck! It's like someone just filled it up from the pool or at least the tap. * We had a power outage parts of the town and hotel while we're there, and the emergency lighting in the stairway was not working. Pitch black. Staff did their best but that's a big safety problem. *Windows don't open. When coupled with some aggressive air "freshening" this is super annoying and one area where Marriott is so much better. I don't care if it's a "safety issue". I just want some air. Good points: I think Cassie (?) at the front desk (many tattoos) is pleasantly efficient and just...smart. Good during "crisis". The doors do not have the power-assist close that many Hampton's have...making the morning a never-ending cacophoy of slamming, shaking doors. Really refreshing actually. We'll stay there again. This hotel was great! We stopped here during the snow/sleet/ice storm. Some people had been here for days. We only had to stay Friday the 2nd. Pretty much sold out so we got lucky. Great price for 2 queen beds. Very clean. Super nice breakfast area. The hotel went above & beyond for everyone that got stuck in the storm.
