A Yelp event last month introduced me to Hana's Tea. Since this first visit, I have returned twice for more good eats and bubble tea. I will admit that before discovering Hana's Tea, I rarely visited Richmond Hill for bubble tea. I do now! Two of my visits have been after work on a Tuesday. I came here with a friend on a Thursday. You can park on Yonge Street, but parking is limited. There is parking behind Hana's Tea. The sign said that it was by the church. I did the opposite and parked behind McConaghy Centre and walked over. I got the following items as part of the event experience: - Lychee ade - S'mores cookie - Yuzu lemon and tiramisu macarons I love carbonated, fizzy drinks. The fruity ade line screams me. I got the lychee ade with no sugar. As usual, most folks question my choice to go without sugar. I'm used to it. It works for me. The lychee ade was awesome. There were bits of lychee in my drink, which made this drink naturally sweet. It was cold and refreshing to sip. Pure joy! The s'mores cookie had a huge marshmallow in it. I had to get it. It was divine. The toasted marshmallow was so good. The cookie was moist and had the right amount of chocolate to make it taste like s'mores, minus the graham crackers. I'd get it again. The interior is cute and is perfect for taking photos. I used the washroom during my first visit. The decor was lovely. It was clean. No complaints. I got the tiramisu and yuzu lemon macarons for my intern. It was her last day in the office the next day. I normally like to consume macarons before gifting them. I had a good feeling about them here because the filling was abundant and thick. We have similar tastes in everything, so I felt confident about gifting them to her. I paid with a credit card. It also allowed me to tip. Yay! All three visits consisted of my receiving a small bag of candies that had bubble tea in the centre. The next day, I gave her the macarons after we were discussing a work task that she was wrapping up on Wednesday. She was so excited. She ate both of them in a span of a minute. She had the tiramisu first. She said that it was slightly sweet and amazing. She thought that it was her favourite until she had the yuzu lemon. She said that it had lemon peel that made her love this one more. She is a younger version of me when it comes to food. I returned to Hana's Tea two days later. I joined my friend, Sandy, after work on a Thursday. It was her Yelp experience. I came back as a repeat customer. One of the women remembered me. I let her know that I loved everything that I had on Tuesday. I loved everything so much that I was back to order some more, which made her happy. I got these items: - Chicken gyoza - Peach ade - Yuzu lemon and tiramisu macarons The chicken gyoza were delicious. They were crispy on the outside with a thin wrapper on each one. The dipping sauce was perfect. Each gyoza was packed with chicken that was nicely seasoned. Yummy! I loved my peach ade. I got the same question about whether I was sure about going without any sugar. I was fine. It had small bits of peach that I loved. It also had coconut jelly. A large goes for $7, which is a steal. I finally had the macarons. OMG! The tiramisu tasted just like the dessert, but in compact macaron form. It was a touch sweet, but exceptionally yummy. The lemon peel bits in the yuzu lemon were amazing. It was excellent with the perfect amount of lemon brightness. I recently returned to get more macarons, to celebrate my friend's birthday early, who also happens to be my colleague, He had just returned from Paris. I suggested that he get macarons there. He did and loved them. Yep, I got macarons from Hana's Tea. I was hoping that it wasn't a step down from his Paris experience. It wasn't! I got two of each macaron flavour: - Nutella - Crème brûlée - Yuzu lemon The two female staffers recognized me. Yep, I'm becoming a regular. I also got a strawberry coconut refresher. I got it with no sugar and less ice. The female staffer was trying to get me to add sugar. I said that the strawberry syrup was sweet, as was the coconut jelly. End of story. Staff put my macarons in a box. I also got a paper bag to put everything in. It was a nice touch. I thanked them both and headed to my car to drive home. The following day, my friend and I indulged in macarons throughout the workday. We loved all three flavours. The crème brûlée was exceptional. It tasted like custard. I loved the Nutella macaron, which had Nutella filling. It was awesome! I have found a good place that makes yummy fruity ade, gyoza, and macarons. Staff are helpful and nice. I love everything that I have consumed so far, as have my friends. It's a gem of a spot. I will say that this place promptly closes at 9 pm when my friend and I were here on a Thursday. We chatted right up until 9 pm. We got a polite announcement from a staffer that the place was closing. You have been warned! (361)

Hana's is an adorable little shop that kind of sneaks up on you. I knew I wanted some bubble tea and definitely wanted some pudding in it, so that's why we went here. The menu is extensive and there is something for everyone. I got an Oreo pudding milk tea with boba. It was super good. The boba was not too chewy or too soft, and the pudding was great too. I am excited to come back for more flavors.

First time visiting. Finding parking on the street was a bit of a challenge due to it being on Yonge and the amount of traffic. I parked at the parking lot behind the store and walked instead. I got their lychee yakult with lychee jelly, there was the option for lychee popping boba but I opted for the jelly instead. The drink was very refreshing, taste was perfect. I would certainly come back again to try their other drinks.

Good tea, good service and cute place. I got the snowy matcha slush and it was really good, especially since I'm a matcha girlie! I got it without the whipped cream. 4 stars because although it's good, it's not outstanding and there are so many boba shops around that I look for something unique about each tea shop. Hana's tea is known for their cute teddy bear cups.

A nice little Korean tea shop in historic Richmond Hill. Be prepared to parallel park on Yonge or use another establishments' parking. I grabbed the chicken kaarage, mango pomelo sago drink. Bought a red velvet cookie that was calling out my name also. She offered to warm the cookie as well. All very nice. The bubble tea was yum. I love the idea of a closed bottle that you can shake it all up first. Chunks for mango, pomelo and sago were distinct and a great combination. 5/5 for taste. The chicken is good. I enjoyed their sauce. The chicken kaarage had a pickled beet tartar sauce which was great. For me, the snack portion is great. For someone of larger stature, they'll need a second order. 4/5 The red velvet cookie, I wanted to love more but for me it was just ok. More of a cake texture than a cookie. Not overly sweet. It looks amazing but just ok. 3/5 Overall, I'd return to try other drinks and savoury snacks.

This place is whimsically decorated... made me feel happy. Everything ties into this theme... all the way down to the trays and bottles. The bottles for the drinks are teddy bears. So cute. Staff are so nice and polite. Had a couple things... Mango Pomelo Sago, taro milk tea, ebi shuimai. The taro was my favorite. Love the flavor. Seems like a great place to meet up with friends... felt like I was in Korean drama. Didn't know there was this little gem in the area.

I've passed by this spot many times but haven't tried it till recently. I ordered via UberEats thanks to a BOGO deal, so I cannot attest to the physical location since it was a delivered order. Being my first visit, I felt the need to try a favorite classic drink, so one of the beverages we ordered was the GRASS JELLY OOLONG TEA (less ice, 30% sugar). This sweetness level was perfect for me. Their tea flavor comes through nicely, with a good amount of milk for consistency. Unlike other places, their grass jelly is neatly cut into cubes - these had a good chew and texture to them. For something more fun, we also upgraded our other beverages by $1.50/each to get them in teddy bear bottles. STRAWBERRY YAKULT (less ice, 50% sugar) I really enjoyed this drink! It's fragrant in the best way. The strawberry flavor is prominent while the yakult sweetened it just right. The yakult flavor itself wasn't strong though, but I didn't mind since the overall flavor profile was delicious. This beverage also comes with popping boba which were fun to eat and not nearly as sweet as some of the other brands I've had. I would definitely order this again. FRUITY ADE SPA IN LYCHEE FLAVOR (with 70% sugar) Even at 70% sugar, this drink isn't very sweet. The lychee flavor is present but not strong, though I'm curious if this would have changed if we got it at full sugar. This is great for those who like sparkling waters with a slight dose of fruity flavor! Quite refreshing for a hot summer's day. Everything was packed neatly so all our drinks got delivered in good condition.

It's a very cute little bubble tea place on Yonge. They have a very tiny seating area, and it's quite noisy inside. The service is ok, average typically Chinese service. The drink order is average and a bit bland though.

I sampled the Chicken Karaage that my wife had and it was quite tasty. I had the Mango Pomelo Sago and the one thing that did not make my experience completely satisfying was that the mango pieces had a slightly fishy aftertaste that I have noticed when using the frozen mango from Costco. My wife noticed it too and after Googling, I found a scientific explanation behind this phenomena. Point is, it seems highly likely that frozen mangoes are used for this menu item and if they had used fresh mangoes my review would have been 4/5 instead of 3/5

Cute little bubble tea stop with a selection of drinks, cookies and macarons. They also have cute teddy bear cups that cost the same as a Large drink with the Medium drink amount. I had the osmanthus latte which was really good and not too sweet. The service was a bit slow but it was quite busy when we went so I guess it's to be expected. The interior is small and cozy, but the orange colour makes me happy and everything is cute, down to the bubble tea candy they give you along with the drink.

Downtown Richmond Hill was missing a bubble tea place and I'm happy that it's finally here! Hana's Tea has only recently opened, and it's the only bubble tea spot within downtown Richmond Hill (to the best of my knowledge, at least). The store has a great ambience with aesthetic orange-themed paintings and decorations. There are 3-4 tables inside and 1 table outside with minimal seating available. When I went it was quite empty, and I was easily able to find a table. It's a great spot to grab bubble tea or bring your book and read inside. I tried their classic boba milk tea which, at a large size, came to $7. Keep in mind that tapioca is already included with your order so you don't have to ask for it as an add-on topping. Their service was fast and friendly, and they are located at a great spot!

The only fruit they had was mango and strawberries. We opted for a Mango Bingsu, based on the photos displayed and we enjoy the sweetness and softness of mango. Never in my wildest imagination did I ever think that it would be served with frozen mango which is usually used for blending smoothies!! My partner did not want to return the barely edible bingsu. The favourite on the dessert was the single small scoop of green tea ice-cream which formed the "leaf" of the strawberry decoration. I truly do recommend getting your bingsu fix elsewhere. I won't be returning. The store is located in the eatery section of H Mart, with ample parking outside in the plaza. When I drove here the first time, I used Waze and didn't arrive successfully. Whether using a driving app, such as Google Maps or Waze, it led me to the wrong building. Both referenced building A. The address has this store being a part of building D. It's basically the building across from A, but the east side. In other words, you are driving along the third-last aisle that's parallel to Leslie. Waze has corrected the issue. Google Maps hasn't. Use Waze to get here. There were plenty of parking spots in front of the store. It was shaded there. I backed into a spot both times and walked in. I got a different female staffers on both visits. They were both helpful and warm. I have had the matcha KitKat mochi, which had bits of KitKat. Each mochi is individually enclosed in a box. It feels like opening a jewellery box. The mochi is delicate and a decent size. I am not a huge whipped cream person. However, the KitKat was broken up into two pieces and surrounded by the whipped cream. The filling was amazing! It was light and yummy. The mochi had matcha powder on top. It had a subtle matcha taste. The mochi was delicate, but still strong enough to hold in the filling. It was so soft and almost malleable. It was the best mochi that I have had in eons! This visit, I got a six-pack of these mochi flavours: - Mango - Pineapple coconut - Lychee - Golden kiwi - Nutella banana - Strawberry banana If you get six or more mochi, you save a bit. If you pay with cash, the tax is waived off. The mango mochi was awesome! It had diced mango mixed in with the whipped cream. It was dreamy. I got to sample a strawberry marshmallow bar during my first visit. It's not really a bar. It's more of a square. I loved the strawberry flavour. It was slightly sweet. The marshmallow is an experience. It's not squishy like a typical marshmallow. It's crispy on the outside, but softish and moist inside. It's pretty cool. It's not quite dehydrated, but it's halfway there. I got the honeydew marshmallow bars in a little bag last time. They had a natural sweetness to it thanks to the honeydew. It was so good. This time, I got a jar of strawberry marshmallow bars. They still taste as yummy as the first time I had one. Delicious! I ended up getting a couple of cake rolls during my first visit. Both flavours, the taro lychee and ube coconut, were still available this return visit. I rattled off everything that I had bought the last time that the nice woman during my most recent visit gave me a chocolate Oreo cake on the house. Wow! I wasn't expecting that kind gesture at all. The chocolate Oreo cake is decadent. There's chocolate pudding in the middle that is divine! I loved the other two flavours, but the chocolate Oreo is now my new favourite flavour. This place accepts credit and debit cards as payment methods. I used a credit card both times. You can tip if you'd like. All desserts are slightly sweet, with the mochi being a touch sweeter than the cake rolls. If you are like me who doesn't like overly sugary items, the desserts at this store are for you. This place is such a gem. I originally had one mochi. It was not enough! I wanted more and returned to indulge some more. If you love mochi and unique desserts, like marshmallow bars, come here. You won't be disappointed. (333)
