This is my second time here after coming in for the yelp event. Lilian was there to assist me and I got everything that was left at 5:45pm (they closed at 6pm). I called before coming in to see what was left. Lilian was so kind to help even though it was almost closing time. Paid 3.50 for each mochi because we got more than 6 of them (pineapple cocount, matcha kitkat, nutella banana, and golden kiwi). She also threw in a couple of mochis extra since end of day. She also went to the back to give me and my kids a sample of mango marshmallows (it was so good). I think I'm addicted to these mochis. I am coming back again. Take my money!

I came here for the Yelp event. I'm not particularly a huge dessert persin but I love this place. Service - 5/5: Lillian was super kind and helpful. I wasn't sure if I could only choose from the ones with the yelp sign. She said I could choose any flavour. She had a fresh batch of honey dew mini marshmellow bars and she let us try. The honeydew powdered dusting enhanced the flavour. Ambiance - 5/5: nice and bright. Minimalistic approach. She doesn't put a lot on display at a time so if you have trouble picking between options, it helps. Everything is clearly labelled. She also gave us a little gift. Food - 5/5: mochi - we got the mango one. I don't actually think it's icecream inside. I think it's fresh cream. There's a good filling to mochi ratio. The mangoes were nice and sweet. Chocolate marshmellows - marshmellows in general was a present surprise. It's not the normal texture that you expect. It reminds me of a crispy/crunch nougat. The chocolate was more mellow in flavour compared to the honeydew. I also like to note that there are 2 layers of wrapping which helps keep the freshness of the marshmellows for longer. There are nuts in the marshmellows (at least the 2 that we tried), just for any readers who have a nut allergy. Overall, the desserts are not overly sweet and I totally appreciate that. Overall: 5/5. I would definitely come back and try from flavours, especially after reading the reviews below and my positive experience.

AMAZING MOCHI! Legit was so impressed with the mochi here. We got Nutella banana, durian, mango, and matcha KitKat. All of the flavors were soooo good and had fresh fruit in them. The mochi was super soft and thin and was the perfect amount of sweetness. Get a whole six pack or more. Like really, you'll be wanting more after your first bite. The owner is sooo nice also.

Usually people will go for either Duo or Full House for dessert around that area, but time I want to find other desserts hence I turned to Yelp and came across this little Hidden Gem. There is no big fancy sign, plain interior, however, you will come across the most fluffy, creamy mochi desserts. There are many favours to choose from and probably have difficulties to pick because they taste so good. Definitely will go back again and will try their cake next time.

I've ordered here quite a few times they have the best mochis super soft and fresh. My favorite is the durian mochi strong flavor and consistent is the key. And now you can walk in for quick desert to go vs only online orders which you have to schedule a time before. Love their mochis!!

These desserts were absolutely lovely. I would recommend eating them as soon as possible. When you first get them, the cream is so smooth inside and the mochi skin is so soft on the outside. The flavours were also very delicious. I was surprised to bite into the strawberry mochi and find kiwi inside! I loved the interesting flavours that were available. The Oreo and Matcha Kit Kat mochis really took me by surprise. I had never tried them in a mochi dessert before. There was no hassle with pick up. The owner is very friendly and kind. There is no dining inside, it is a kitchen where the desserts are created. I would recommend trying this place out for mochi desserts.

The place was nearly empty - one customer already seated and eating, and a group of 4 people in line ahead of me to order. There was only one person doing cash and making drinks and doing various other tasks, it took forever for anyone in line to place their order. I waited so long I started downloading their app to try ordering that way, but it did not have a "dine in" option. We tried their savory croffles and a mini cheesecake (chocolate flavour). The food took forever to arrive (turns out one of their staff was out getting eggs and milk from the grocery store!). After a while I asked for the cheesecake first since that doesn't require cooking! The croffle was an interesting concept that works well - it's a croissant shaped like a waffle. The cheesecake was average and I would not order again. My main complaint is that they were severely understaffed and that the wait was unacceptable even though the restaurant was basically empty. If it was even half full you'd have to wait up to an hour for your food! If you want to try this place, get their app and order way ahead for takeout.

Determined to have some brunch on mothers day, we found Cafe Bon Bon right around the corner. We were pleasantly surprised to hear upon calling that they would be able to seat us right away! We anticipated a chaotic parking situation being familiar with the usually busy Times Square plaza but was very easy to find parking this morning. Beautiful space with modern decor. Always happy to get a booth! We got the chicken and waffle - tender, juicy chicken that's perfectly crispy on the outside. These were served with soft warm waffles and a side of syrup. We got a nice flat white. The braised beef breakfast sandwich was so tasty and went great with the Bernaise sauce (like a deconstructed eggs Benny). Would have preferred the mixed greens on the outside of the sandwich as a side salad rather than in the sandwich. It was served with a decent portion of thick cut home fries, bonus they add yams in the mix! Our first time trying a soufflé pancake. Came with 3 on the plate (not pictured as we started eating before I could take a photo lol). The texture takes some getting used to as it's almost too soft (batter-like) but they were perfectly sweet accompanied by a nice thick chocolate sauce and SMALL pieces of fruit (the banana had a nice sweet crunchy sugary glaze). Wouldve given 5 stars but but the pancake couldve been served with larger pieces of fruit or atleast way more of it. It became more of a garnish than a topping as the fruit were so so soooooo tiny! Overall will be returning to try their soft shell crab options!!

The restaurant was 3/4 empty and I asked for a table further away from the door. The male waiter insisted we sit beside the cash after I kept asking to sit in the back. Note, there was a whole back row of empty tables in the L shaped dining area which would be further from the windy cold day outside. Nope, I do not get it. My companion asked for eggs and bacon with another two sides of bacon, the waiter did not seem to want to take the order for the two extra sides, he said each side was 4 pieces. Yes, we understand and insisted several times before he wrote the order. I wanted the bacon and sausage poutine but if I could switch the fries for potato hash. That was a challenge. I said we'd cover any substitution fees. It was the bacon and hash with extra sausage basically. Thanks for the whole onion mixed into the hash. Onion to potato ratio 1:1. The orders didn't come at the same time. The two sides of bacon came first and some time later his meal and my meal came. Odd. It was all pretty mediocre food. Who knew breakfast could be so difficult. It didn't feel welcoming. It felt like we were annoying him. I will say the female behind the counter was nice. She topped up our coffee frequently. There was another person preparing drinks and we only saw him come out from behind the counter when there were no drink orders. It took a while for her to clear our table. At one point she stood behind the counter with a look on her face that could be best described as '...what do I do first..' What was ordered: Kale Caesar Salad - fresh croutons with generous bits of bacon; very lightly dressed Chicken and Waffles - 2 drumsticks and a breast served with 4 pieces of waffle and a small side salad Shrimp Eggs Benny - 2 deep fried shrimp patties; served with baby potatoes and a side salad The chicken was very crispy and still juicy but based on the colour of the fry the oil needs to be changed. It came with 2 small containers of syrup (not real maple syrup) and some that looked like plum sauce. The potatoes on the eggs Benny were good but when you deep fry the shrimp patty you wonder what other filler there might be in the patties. Service was decent despite the fact that there was one person who served and cleaned. An okay experience....not sure it warrants another return.

I ordered their chicken kaarage with mochi waffles. The chicken was fried with a light batter. Crispy on the outside and the meat (chicken thigh) was moist and juicy. The waffles were crispy and chewy and stretchy with a hint of sweetness. The yuzu sauce was refreshing paired well with chicken. The dish came with a side of salad which helped balance out the heaviness of the fried chicken and mochi. We also ordered their pistachio souflle pancake and it was delectable. It was light, airy and fluffy. The pistachio sauce was creamy, nutty and aromatic without being too sweet. I also liked how it came with fruits on the side. I also ordered their hojicha latte, which was one of the best ones I've had. It was smooth, creamy, and had just the right amount of tea flavor. The milk foam had the perfect velvety texture and it came with a pretty latte art. Overall, I really enjoyed the brunch they offer here. It is a pretty simple cafe, so don't expect it to be all decked out because it's not those instagramable cafes. But the food were solid and it's a great option for a small group brunch as they don't have many tables and they don't have large tables at all (the best is to 4 people or less). Staff is very limited but it could be because we went on a Thursday and it wasn't busy. They have a QR code for you to scan and you can order directly from there and food came fairly quickly shortly after we placed our order. I would definitely return when I'm back in town.

Hoping to get ahead of it, I requested the kitchen make it "more saucy." That was a huge mistake. Instead of actual sauce, it tasted like they literally just dumped water into the dish to thin it out. What arrived was a bland, watery, and completely tasteless mess. It was so flavorless that I had to aggressively add my own salt and pepper just to make it palatable. The photo speaks volumes--it was completely ruined. The service was cold and entirely hands-off. Our waitress took our order and then performed a total disappearing act. She never checked back in on us to see how the food was, and we literally never saw her again for the rest of our meal. The Verdict Between a ruined $22.50 plate of pasta and non-existent service, this place is a hard pass. Will not be returning for brunch.
