He was very friendly and helped me with more than just the toilet seal, offering to clean out my sinks and identifying the cause of a defective faucet that my landlord had ignored. He also removed a small clog from my plumbing that I was unaware of. The bad: I'm not confident Seth completed did the job I hired him for. He spent a lot of time pouring baking soda, talking with the neighbor, and explaining his political views, but at no point did I see him replace the wax ring on my toilet. He later texted that he would send photos of the old seal as proof that he had completed the job, but when he did share a few pictures, they were unrelated. The next day, I discovered that one of the bolts holding the toilet in place was loose. I brought it up, and he claimed he intentionally left it that way and forgot to tell me I should tighten it myself the next day. I haven't found any evidence that this is a normal step in replacing a wax ring, but in either case, not everyone would have thought to check. Finally, I never received an invoice for the work. He promised to send one, but after following up five times over two weeks via both text and phone call, I've still heard nothing. He has stopped responding to messages. I liked Seth as a person, but I recommend hiring someone more professional for important plumbing work.

Tyler of Pipe Dreams Sewer & Drain is *fantastic*. I've lived in my townhouse condo for nearly 12…read moreyears, and the kitchen sink has never drained marvelously well. I had understood that it was due at least in part to a shallow grade of the outlet pipe...whatever. A couple of years ago, it had gradually become clogged enough that it was draining painfully slowly. I had RotoRooter out to clear it, and when the work was done, it was much better. It drained just fine, like before. Over two or three months this past fall, it gradually slowed down again, and I waited because I remembered how expensive it was the last time. Finally, there was no more waiting. It had become gross, it was so *disgustingly* slow, and I was even wondering whether it would require major work of some kind. I am so happy to have seen the glowing reviews here of Pipe Dreams. I called them & they were able to get me in in two days. Tyler was here for about an hour, and the tools he used were very different from the long, manual snake that RotoRooter had used. It/they were motorized things that had a reach far down the pipes. Tyler explained that he was staying mindful of the neighbors' pipes and not disturbing those. When he was done, he filled the sink with water & then released it. Since we bought this place all those years ago, I had NEVER seen it empty so fast, and I didn't even think it was possible. The water began to spin and make the most beautiful whirlpool and then was gone. The whole time he was here, Tyler could not have been more considerate, clear in his communication, and helpful. He also gave me tips on how to keep the drain clear. I kept meaning to write this review soon after he was here, but it's now been three months - oops! Here is the bright side to the delay: I can report that the sink has been draining wonderfully ever since, and it makes me soooo happy every time I use the sink. Call Pipe Dreams! You will be glad you did.

They were reliable, open and honest about the entire process even when the items on the blueprint didn't match the actual equipment that had been installed 20 years prior, along with outdated instalment features. They had to find a different pump, and electrical replacement solutions. They were great and did it with positive attitudes and friendly hardworking ethics. We enjoyed getting to know them and were very impressed with how much they care. They made the job change work with the price they had quoted us as well, which was very reasonable. Thank you both for being a great team. Louisa and Dean

By far the most unreliable and unprofessional contractor we worked with in our build. Not only were…read moreDonnie and Austin unresponsive throughout the majority of the process, but their work was unacceptable and downright lazy. Our unit was installed 5 feet from an outside wall and they decided to only run the exhaust. Even though we had an air tight, spray foamed home, they made a conscious choice to not run a fresh air intake and have the entire system suck air in from av sealed concrete basement. Second, and I'm not an HVAC expert, but one of the simplest parts to install would seem to be the filter. They decided to install the filter box underneath an elbow joint where you literally cannot get a filter in without folding it in half. There is no other way to describe it but pure laziness. Not lastly, but the last thing worth mentioning, was the wiring of the system itself. For the first month the fan ran 24/7, and according to them they were waiting on a call from the factory to figure out what was wrong. Multiple follow ups by me - never from them and all of a sudden they had it fixed. After multiple no call no shows I finally had enough and told them not to come back, and had someone qualified come in. With no background, they asked me if I had any idea why the fan wires would be unhooked?? That was their fix, to completely unhook the wires to the fan? I wish that I never came across their name. There is no service, no expertise, and it seems like every short cut possible was taken. I would never recommend French Hill to anyone. I should've turned around and ran after it took 6 weeks and multiple follow ups to even get their estimate - shame on me. Do not make the same mistake I did. Even in a small town there are much better companies to work with.
