He quickly diagnosed the situation and as there was a way to use water without a further leak, he picked up the replacement part Monday and came right over to fix it. He's friendly, professional, and very reasonably priced. In addition to plumbing emergencies, he does boiler replacements, emergency services, installs everything from old-school boilers to the latest heat pumps, from radiant flooring to steam radiators. They were very patient with our first heating system, which turned out to be a crappy boiler (not their install) that they kept going for years. They helped us select a new high-efficiency boiler a few years ago that has been running smoothly since installation. There is great comfort for me to know I can call them at any time I have an issue and they're there. Techs seem well trained, friendly, professional, clean and care about what they're doing. Office staff are friendly and help me accomplish what I called for. We've been doing budget plans for all our fuels for years - great comfort in having a regular payment instead of huge swings in the winter/summer. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that they don't automatically schedule my boiler cleanings like they did years ago. Can't stand by their work…read more Recently had put Jackman's installed boiler serviced for the 4th time in as many years, and were told by the technician that helped us (he's very good, and I won't disparage his work) that the repair would not cost us a thing, as it was to fix a problem caused by a different technician's faulty work on installation. Lo and behold, we then received a bill for $180 for the service call. The office personnel wouldn't hear our argument about what the technician had quoted us. This wasn't the first call for a repair caused by their own shoddy installation of our boiler, either. Within the first year, we had to have a fan in the unit replaced as it was installed with wires rubbing against the fan blades. Another $180 to fix that, and nearly some very cold days spent waiting for a part with no heat. Go elsewhere.

I hired him to do all new plumbing and heating system in my home. We paid him and bought the…read morematerial. He showed up 3 or 4 times. he had dumped garbage off there from other jobs he had been working on. the work he did has to be replaced as it was installed improperly according to the plumbing inspector. He cut up one main support which had to be repaired. He didn't pull any permits for the job. When I asked him for receipts for the stuff he bought on line with my credit card he handed me a bunch of receipts for stuff he had bought 6 months before I had even talked about him doing the job. I still have not seen the receipts. I think they did more drinking than working, I pulled out 3 contractor bags of alcohol cans out of my basement just thrown all around. I would not hire him to plumb my outhouse!!!
