We were informed that we couldn't cancel the contract but could buy it out. Since we didn't have that kind of money, we agreed to finish paying for the contract, despite not actually using the service. Fast forward to today when I notice we're still being charged. When I called to ask, was told our contract ended in May, and they were charging us month-to-month now. Asked if I could cancel, was told they'd send an email with the form. Asked about a refund. Got rules and regs. Asked for a supervisor, same story. After speaking with 4 people today, and all of them spouting the Sam answers, I demanded yet another supervisor, and was told they'd call me back. I'm giving them until noon tomorrow before I call back. I worked customer service for decades. This kind of pushback is appalling to any company I've ever worked for.

The rep evaluated my home and current system and prepared a solution with some upgrades (a doorbell camera, enhanced control panel, system controllable with phone app, etc.) and investment/purchase options. I accepted the system proposal and an installation was scheduled. The technician came and did a great job replacing my prior system with the new components. Wherever possible, he placed new components in the place of old components which minimized aesthetic issues. Afterwards, he efficiently went through the required forms, account setup, and other administrative tasks.
