I saw Dr. LIPSON About 8 months ago I had carpal tunnel for the second time in my only good arm. And he dismissed it and said that there's no way I have carpal tunnel again.For the second time, there's only a point 02 percent chance. Of reoccurring carpal tunnel. He didn't even offer to do an emg, so I had my regular doctor workers comp doctor do the Em. G. It showed, I have moderate to severe median nerve neuropathy, which is carpal tunnel. So I came back for a second opinion with him to show him that it was carpal tunnel, and he came in the office, he asked me, so what's going on? We thought it might be coming from your neck, but now it says is carpal tunnel. But you didn't have carpal tunnel syndrome symptoms when you came in before and I said, yes. I did. I had carpal tunnel syndrome symptoms 3 months prior to the incident. That took me off of work i know this because I had corporal tunnel surgery.Three and a half years ago, and the symptoms were exactly the same.And the e m g report shows that I haven't. , within fifteen seconds of him walking in the room and me telling him that I did have purple tunnel.Symptoms very nicely he stood up and said, we're done here.I'm not seeing you don't ever come back to my office again.Get out before I call the cops. He is the worst doctor I have ever met my entire life. He should not be practicing medicine. He doesn't care about his patients. I would never let this guy put me under the knife and I will be contacting the doctor's board to file a formal complaint.Do not see doctor lipson do not see him worst human being.I've ever met since i've been on this earth in forty one years and I don't normally write battery views.I usually write good reviews, i know you may be weary and go.Yeah, some people just have bad experiences, and some people only write bad reviews.But that's not me.I could have gave him a bad review.The first time I saw him when he dismissed my a carpal tunnel symptoms.And the first place but I didn't I gave him the benefit of the doubt went back to see him because no other doctor will take workers' compensation. Dr. Christopher Wilson - Arrogant. Dismissive. Dangerous. This is the most painful thing I've ever written -- because I never imagined I'd put my trust in a surgeon who would end up ruining my life. On January 1, 2023, I injured my wrist. After weeks of pain (X-rays that showed little arthritis but were inconclusive for fractures) and no improvement, I saw Dr. Christopher Wilson at Hand surgery Associates of Sacramento. I told him clearly: my wrist was the problem. I said it felt like a torn ligament or tendon. He dismissed that immediately and insisted the issue was thumb arthritis, even though I told him over and over: my thumb didn't hurt, this fact is all documented! I asked twice if we should get updated imaging. He arrogantly refused both times and seemed bothered that I would ask that or even question his professional diognosis. I now believe that was one of his most reckless mistakes -- and I paid the price for it, not him. Dr. Wilson proposed a surgery on my thumb and a wrist denervation, even though my thumb had zero pain or limitation it sounded good to me, kinda like taking care of the arthritis while you're fixing the real problem in the wrist. I didn't know what else to do. He was a board-certified surgeon. He acted so confident -- but I now see that confidence for what it really was: unchecked arrogance. After surgery in February 2024, my thumb was basically frozen, and my wrist pain -- the whole reason I went in -- was still there. I told him we must've operated on the wrong thing. Instead of listening, he got defensive, raised his voice, and blamed me for agreeing to the surgery. He eventually told me he was "done with me" and kicked me out of his care. I was shocked. I didn't need an ego -- I needed a doctor. Desperate for answers, I found a new surgeon. She immediately ordered an arthroscopic scope, something Dr. Wilson refused to do. Within minutes, she diagnosed me with a fully torn ligament in my wrist -- the exact thing I had been saying from the start. The thumb had nothing to do with it. Now I'm preparing for another surgery to fix what should have been addressed in the first place. But the damage is done. I've lost thumb mobility. I can't cook, play music, lift anything -- basic things I used to do daily. I live with this pain and loss every single day. In my opinion, Dr. Wilson is not just arrogant -- he is dangerous. He didn't listen, ignored obvious signs, and made decisions based on assumptions instead of evidence. I believe he did what was easiest or most routine for him, not what was best for me. I gave this man the power to affect my life, and he did -- permanently. This experience has left me with deep regret and physical damage I may never recover from. I'm sharing this so no one else makes the same mistake I did: don't confuse arrogance for expertise. Don't trust a title over your own instincts. Get second opinions. Demand imaging. I made a appointment with their office for to see a specific surgeon. Checked in and waited for over 2 hours - no one communicated to me while I was waiting and I decided to leave. Over 40 minutes later . I get a call from their office and and spoke to a woman who continued to say 4 times - do U want to book another appointment, she didn't even ask me what happened. Didn't take a rocket scientist for me to realized she didn't care. Later that day I found out she was the office manager ! I called their accounting department to find out who was the manager. When I got home took almost 2 hours, I left a message with her. She chose he not to identify herself when we first talked. She called later returned my call, telling me we had spoke earlier! She told me that the doctor I made the appointment was not working on the day I showed up . No one said that when I checked in - or did anyone in their lame staff tell me that they were running over 2 hours behind. Why didn't they call me the day before to reschedule. The office manager did not apologize to me for that or my waste of time ( it took me almost 2 hours to drive there) and waiting over 2+ hours for nothing. Instead she lied to me telling me that her staff made announcements about the delays. I was sitting in the closest chair right next to there reception staff. No announcements were made. After that lying statement I hung up on her!. FYI this is what happened to me and I cannot give that unprofessional organization anything but a Big Thumbs Down and would never deal with them again. I can only imagine if I had allowed them to ever do a surgery on me. I am counting my lucky stars - their totally unprofessional behavior saved Me !!!!!!!!! I came today to have a 2nd opinion on a past surgery and he had the wrong information regarding which hand the surgery was on...when I corrected him on the correct hand he had the nerve to ask me if I was sure...seriously?! I'm the one that's been struggling with his issue for 2 years! I think I would know what hand I had my surgery on. I understand there was nothing he could do for me but his lack of compassion and empathy was the issue. He laughed in my face multiple times at things I mentioned and dismissed everything I said. Dr. Wilson performed my dupuytren's surgery. The consult was professional and thorough and he answered all my questions. It was, in fact, my second consult as I saw him a few years earlier and we determined the surgery could wait a bit. Surgery at the center in El Dorado went without incident. Removal of stitches was gentle and done with care (good because I really have sensitive hands). Dr. Wilson also accommodated me by recommending sufficient physical therapy to rehab my hand. The scar is as minimal as possible, I believe. The office staff were professional and accommodating. read more

He stated to my workers compensation doctor that I should be sent back to work and removed from wc and receiving benefits. Fortunately I have a great relationship with my employer and they approved the second opinion. Dr Steiner refused to look at the MRI findings and only prolonged my recovery process. I met with Dr. Michael Daly today for a 2nd opinion on impending thumb fusion surgery. My experience with Dr. Daly restored my faith in how medicine is practiced in 2025. I was shocked when the receptionist was able to offer a same day appointment. But, the prizes kept coming! Dr. Daly's Medical Assistant took me back to the exam. room and couldn't have been more interested and concerned. After a very brief wait, Dr. Daly knocked on the door. Upon entering, Dr. Daly seemed very relaxed and friendly. I never felt rushed. He answered all my questions completely and seemed to care about what was in my best interest. On my way home, I canceled my scheduled surgery with another orthopedic surgeon who was the exact opposite. When the time comes for fusion surgery, I will, without a doubt, be scheduling with Dr. Daly. Thank you Dr. Daly. You are a credit to your profession! read more

I wish I could give zero stars. My mom saw this doctor for an already approved workmen's comp claim. A case worker attended the appointment with her. According to the case worker, this doctor cut my mom off 8 times in a 15 minute consultation. The case was already accepted, but this doctor was trying to force my moms injury to be non-work related. My mom is 63 years old and never experienced hand pain till her work injury. This doctor was denying her already approved claim, saying he's going to document it as non-work related and a result of a BIRTH DEFECT?! If she had a birth defect, don't you think she would have noticed long before 63 years of age? I completely agree with other reviews online. Obviously, this doctor has some incentive to blatantly lie in workmen's comp cases. His medical license should be revoked for such immoral and unethical practices. Also, learn some manners? Got my age wrong saying I should be healthy for being as young as I was and when I corrected him on my age (I'm older) he told me age was irrelevant. Walked out in middle of consult and me asking questions and said "I'm done" I said excuse me? He said "you heard me I'm done.You're done. You're excused". I believe he reacted like this because he was embarrassed he was wrong on multiple occasions about my case. Great experience with Dr Lipson. First, I had a CMC arthroplasty with tendon transfer in 2021. I had a relatively easy recovery and a wonderful outcome. This year, had torn cartilage removed and ulna shaved to reduce friction. Also, had a tendon release done to relieve a trigger finger. Again, outcome and recovery were great. Dr. Lipson is strait forward in his approach and recommends activity level for after surgery that will maximize outcome. One star off for busy office and difficulty getting through to book appointments. read more

Your best bet is that your condition is so HORRIFIC that even a blind man could decipher your issue and diagnose it properly. I was sent to this office by the workman's comp clinic. I was in Dr Wilson office for less than 5 minutes. He moved my right hand around and bent my fingers open and said I don't have carpal tunnel and needed to see a therapist. I told him he has the Carpal tunnel test results in front of him. Scheduled my appointment over a month ago and showed up 10 minutes early as requested today. Rode up the elevator with a patient who had no appointment scheduled for today until this morning. They fit that patient in 5 minutes before me. After waiting over 30 minutes after showing up 10 minutes early, the patient who rode the elevator with me is walking out the door finished, yet I'm still siting in the waiting room. When I approached the reception, I was told there where no rooms available, that they where all still full. At this point I asked to reschedule the appointment with no response. I suppose everyone has a different definition of what constitutes good bedside manner, but I found Dr. Lipson to be friendly, empathetic, and patient with my questions. SHORT VERSION: Dr. Lipson and the staff here, are amazing at dealing with incredibly complicated injuries, fearful patients, and difficult circumstances. LONG VERSION: Dr. Lipson is a miracle worker and absolutely the most amazing surgeon I have ever been blessed to have been treated by. His medical and office staff are also exceptional and incredibly kind. I had an extremely difficult injury to my wrist and hand that was over 4 months old and had been partially healed in a deformed and incredibly painful way. Four other surgeons would not touch it due to the complicated mess they said my injury presented as and prior attempts to treat it unsuccessfully. Dr. Lipson was the 5th surgeon to look at it. From my very first appointment he was fantastic. Dr. Lipson reviewed all my scans and documentation from the months that had passed since my injury. He was also well versed in the condition that caused my bones to break easily and the bleeding disorder that somewhat complicated surgery for me. After listening to all I wanted him to know, Dr. Lipson explained every aspect of my injury and why areas hurt where they did. He also expressed concerns about my lack of healing despite the length of time that had passed since the injury occurred. He made it clear everything I told him made sense. I felt so validated and most importantly, had a far better understanding of my injury, complications I was unaware of until he told me, and what I was looking at in terms of surgery and recovery. Dr. Lipson also went above and beyond to get my insurance to provide an ultrasound treatment device to help me heal better and faster after surgery. On the day of surgery Dr. Lipson and his surgical team at the surgery center treated me in a way that calmed my anxiety and reassured me. He and the anesthesiologist also gave me a nerve block to help me control the initial post op pain for several hours. After a day or so I had some concerns which Nurse Jennifer and he addressed immediately. They tried to help again a few days later when I called back, still hurting and worried. Nurse Jennifer and the Medical Assistant, Scott, addressed the situation quickly and with compassion. Sarah, the Office Manager was kind as well, and as busy as always is, also took time to listen to me. EVERYONE in this practice goes above and beyond. In fact, I called the office over the weekend because of pain. Dr. Lipson was not on call but the answering service was very nice. As I was not comfortable bothering a different surgeon who was on call, I went to urgent care just to check and make sure all was ok. A few days later, at my post op appointment, Dr. Lipson told me to never hesitate to utilize the on call surgeon and to even request him directly if I felt I really needed to. He made it clear that he and all the surgeons in the practice wanted to ensure I was ok whenever I had a concern or problem relating to this injury and their repair of it. I had been feeling like a pest but Dr. Lipson assured me all I was experiencing was totally normal. He had me see Physical Therapy IMMEDIATELY and conveniently to help start to restore normal function in my hand and wrist. My previous experiences of other surgeons in other situations had been that they were primarily focused on the surgery alone, and when it was done so were they. It wasn't that other surgeons weren't good at what they did. I just felt like they were a bit abrupt and unavailable. (At times other surgeons sort of left me feeling like I was a car and they were going to fix my transmission.) Dr. Lipson treated the WHOLE injury. He cared about me, my recovery, and listened to everything I and my husband wanted to tell him. He ensured that every possible treatment that could help me was ordered. Dr. Lipson clearly cared and that came through very clearly. His staff were ready to help anytime, and the positive impact on our entire family because of Dr. Lipson's care and his staff has in one week undone months of stress and fears we were struggling through and repaired a severely fractured, deformed, and nerve damaged wrist and hand. We will never be able to thank him enough and we are forever grateful to him, his staff, and all those involved in my care at Hand Surgical Associates. read more

You know those people who cheat their way through school and even they don't know how they ended up with a degree? Yeah, this is him. I did my research before seeing my next doctor, Dr. James Kelly (who works at a real clinic). He not only immediately explained my fractures but performed a successful surgery as well. Something this Lipson clown could never dream of doing. I consider myself lucky that the clown did not want to perform surgery on me. REMINDER, you have all the right as a paying patient to choose your doctor. I strongly recommend going to another "clinic" entirely but if you can't, have them give you a list of all the doctors and read their reviews before making an appointment. Absolutely horrible. You can not get in touch with anyone to schedule an appointment. I tried for over 2 months. I finally was able to actually speak with the office manager. When I mentkoned I had been trying for a while, with hearing nothing back from them, it apparently offended her. She took the time to correct me, they had returned one of my calls that i was unaware of, so, No, I was wrong. I said, OK, but can we please juat get an appointment scheduled? She began taking my info, and said No, we do not take your insurance, get another referral. I began trying to let her know I has a secondary form of insurance they do accept,and she said NO, and she would know she is the office manager, and she was unwilling to accept me now because of my attitude Believe me, I know when I pull attitude, and I did not. I wad trying to work with her to possibly resove the issue. After months of calling daily, her awful, snarky, completely unprofessional attitude was astounding. Avoid this place if you can, and if not tread lightly on the clearly miserable office managers ego. I feel for anyone who had a true issue to try to work with her on. I saw Dr Goldberg who was great and I highly recommend him. Just be aware that he doesn't do trigger thumb surgery and will refer you to another doctor. I was referred to Dr. Steiner in the same practice and he is great! He explained everything to me, and did a wonderful job on my trigger thumb. I highly recommend both doctors.
