I am sharing my story to encourage others who have lost hope and completely believe they could never be themselves again. I have lived with a horrible painful pinched nerve & muscle between my hip and leg for 5 years. Because I hurt so bad I would walk with a limp and my left knee would swell because of all the imbalance. Even after drs, X-rays, meds for pains, chiropractor and 2 other physical therapy companies. I could not get better. In fact I was getting worse every year. So after being referred to UC Davis sports medicine. The Dr told me he would send me to Kimes " they will get you better!" I got a referral with Dr. Julia Wright in August. Well its been 2 1/2 month. I saw Julia once a week, plus I did the recommended therapy at home. Not easy and painful, but I am now pain free and able to walk in 3" heals or sleep on my side. What a relief. Thank you Dr Julia & Thank you Kimes. I appreciate all your knowledge. I went here to Rehab a few old body (69 plus year old) parts in prep for continuing my sports (baseball/Tennis) What a great place to rehabilitate regardless of your age . Tyler was wonderful and gave me a graduated set of exercises to do there and to progress on my own at home I am back again after a knee replacment,. Dr. Tyler had my knee back to functional in a few weeks, I was amazed! I took a really bad hit to the knee a year before (didn't get it treated) and it couldn't take my weight up stairs most days. Incredible experience. I had surgery to repair a loose labrum in my shoulder, after struggling with pain and instability for about 7 years due to a misdiagnosis. The surgery has changed my life, but I wouldn't be here without the extensive physical therapy I have had with Evan at KIME. He was always able to adjust any exercises to my needs, and kept me encouraged when I would get discouraged. I can't say enough good things about this place! Came to KIME from a mainstream gym with the proverbial lineup of treadmills, claustrophobic workout area, and musty yoga mats. #truth Walking into Kime was both figuratively and literally a breath of fresh air. The welcoming staff, open floor plan, and the ABSENCE of typical clunky gym equipment is enough to make me remain a member for life. But what I appreciate about KIME even more, is my trainer, Kendra and all the time and effort she has invested in me so that I may invest in myself. Evan has played an instrumental role in the care of my shoulder injury. His thorough exam and monitoring helped us get the correct diagnosis. He gave me exercises and set limitations that improved my pain steadily. His knowledge of the field helped guide my orthopedic surgeon to get an MRI with contrast to better visualize my labrum which we found was severely torn. He helped me weigh the pros and cons of surgery and set realistic expectations. He listens and understands my unique goals - to work without pain, to swim for exercise, and to pick up my toddlers. As a physician myself, I believe he is a true expert in his field. Highly recommended for shoulder pain. Update a year later: after labrum repair shoulder surgery, My insurance changed so I saw another PT. With the other physical therapists, things were better, then worse.... better then worse. I decided to pay out of pocket for Evan and I am so glad I did! Within a week back at Kime I was pain free and progressing. With a few simple yet effective stretches and exercises, I am now able to swim laps, work, and lift my children! read more

KIME is hands down the best Physical therapy you can get! After suffering from an ACL Avulsion fracture, I had been doing PT with Kaiser. After just a short 6 weeks realizing Kaiser wasn't the best for me, I started with KIME. What a night and day difference. Kim at the Sacramento location has been incredible and a resourceful Physical Therapist. She actually assesses my injuries and my mechanics instead of just treating me as an ACL protocol. After 8 months of being post operation, Kim continues to assess what I lack and what I need to improve on. I cannot recommend this place more, my first session with Andy was absolutely amazing and exactly what I had been looking for for months. I've been doing kettlebell with Carson at K.I.M.E. now since the first or second week of March and all I can say is WoooW. I've had serious leg injuries my entire life; everything from a severed femoral artery, (don't ask), to broken knee caps and torn MCL's, and this is the perfect post rehab training available. What I get at Kime that I don't through my usual trainer at 24 is knowing that everyone coming through that door is essentially doing the same thing as me, but in different ways and different weights. From high school kids to seniors. Kettlebell really helps me with my job. I work in a physical environment where I'm constant moving around and being physical. Having to squat 200-400 times a day for work already and moving in abnormal ways , kettlebell gives me the training to glide through the air like it's natural. I still workout religiously at 24, but I come to KIME "on the low" to get that extra 10 inning, 5 quarter edge. read more

As a former NCAA athlete and SCI patient I can tell you that these guys know their stuff. Evan started working with me 2-3 times a week a little over a year ago and my results have been phenomenal. I suffered a critical spinal cord injury 2 years ago in which I was paralyzed from the waist down. This was the result of a benign tumor in the spinal cord that had began to bleed and was removed during emergency surgery. I had no motor function or functioning sensory neuron receptors following - basically meaning I couldn't move anything or feel anything below the waist for approximately 4 months. I moved up to Sacramento about a year after the injury in which I had attended another facility near my school in Southern CA. I had gained about 40-50% of the feeling in my lower body back and was able to resume normal activity, although my strength was still 60% weaker than at the time of injury and still suffered chronic pain due to the invasive operation prior. Since then, I have gained the majority of my strength back and my core is 5x as strong which has resulted in a huge decrease in my pain. The values and ideas behind my workouts are conceptual. There is a reason behind everything that the trainers at KIME do. We work a lot with kettlebells and focus on creating structural balance within the body - this promotes longevity and IT MAKES YOU FEEL BETTER!
