I was treated for left thumb replacement PT after surgery. Sarah D. did adjust the thumb brace that was put in place by another therapist, but as for encouraging me, I left all appointments feeling I was not making progress, even though I was consistent in doing my exercises, etc. Originally, I was OK'd to have 12-16 PT visits but only attended 6 due to the frustration and lack of forward movement in healing of my hand. After having had my right thumb replaced several years ago and going to another PT group (Altitude Physical Therapy-Wheat Ridge), I know what a mistake I made in going to Hand2Hand PT for my left thumb therapy. I went to see Sara Doig to get measured for a thumb splint. This ended up taking 3 visits, instead of the ONE it should have. Before I had even been seen, she turns to her coworker and says, about a patient that just left, "That lady has the biggest keloid scar I've ever seen". Great confidentiality and non-judgement from the get go. If you're going to talk, as people do, wait for doors to be closed. She spent most of the first visit bragging about her credentials and the program she created and how its helped people. She went on to show me other braces, and saved measuring for the end of the visit. She did make me some aquaplast plastic ring splints in short order before I left, which are pretty cool and very useful. The first visit she also gave me some exercises, while telling me those I had been doing prescribed by another physician were giving me carpal tunnel. She then went on to argue with me that no, I wasn't actually hypermobile in CMC join (a diagnosis I had from 2 other physicians). When I SHOWED her, "Well, you're just pushing very hard to be able to do that" No, I really wasn't... The second visit was a complete waste of time - more exercises, more bragging about her credentials / past experience, and more insulting my other providers for the routine they gave me. The third visit was when my thumb splint finally came in, to make sure it fits. This took all of 5 minutes , and of course she began arguing about whether or not I have a small wrist when I made an offhand comment about being surprised when the bracelet didn't fit for the cross CMC support. Dismissive. Argumentative. Not respectful of patient privacy. Kind of got the impression she was a money hound; should not have taken 3 visits in the first place. read more

I've worked with Sarah and her crew on recovering from two separate injuries and was very pleased both times. In the more recent case, I came in with a nagging problem for which a surgeon had unsurprisingly recommended surgery. The therapy was ok. Nothing special. The billing, the policy around billing, the lack of knowledge around their billing, etc was atrocious. Only go if you want to be lied to and then overcharged. They may say it is on me to understand my insurance costs, and they would be right, unless of course their employee told me one thing that was a complete lie. read more

I have worked with Sarah Doig at Hand To Hand Therapy several times. Once for carpal tunnel issues and once for a pinch in my shoulder. She has a lot of techniques to help many different issues. Her clinic is clean and very comfortable. I was not sure if Sarah could help to relieve the pain in my neck, shoulder and wrist but she did! I have never had pain like that before but Sarah got to the bottom of the issues and was able to resolve it. My carpal tunnel is much better too. The best part is that she gave me exercises and massages to do at home to manage the pain during a flare up. She has so much experience and knowledge in her field. She is not one to lump all issues in one basket. She takes every situation and finds the problem and fixes it. Her staff is just wonderful and I found the treatment to be very relaxing and pleasant. Love Sarah at Hand to Hand Therapy. She started working on my hand/wrist after a car accident. She was the only one that was able to get most of my mobility back! She really knows what she's doing. I have carpal tunnel and she is the only one that can give me lasting relief -- especially when I remember to do all the exercises she gives me. Think twice about this place people! after I had a second thumb, tendon repair surgery my surgeon had me go here, I had an open wound one day post surgery and Sarah had me put my hand in water! it hurt and I kept saying how I didn't think this was a good idea, the water was coming from a garden hose hooked up in the room, looking back I should have never done it, about a week later I had a second infection! my infectious disease Doctor was horrified to find out I was doing whirlpool therapy. With out knowing for sure 100% if the water was sterile she made me quit going there. Besides Sarah was always late, her husband and son came in one day stood there looking at me and talking to her, while she was working on my hand, really? no privacy! she had workers there the same day putting glue down for new counter tops, so unprofessional! I am thinking about turning her in for my second infection, I have talked to other therapists, and none of them use the whirlpool therapy anymore, because it is not a sterile environment.
