I stopped going to this clinic because of the lack of care provided and the disrespect surrounding my injury. This was over 6 months ago, and now they charged my card $243 without warning or consent. No itemized statement or any communication about the charge was ever made despite there being strict laws about this type of practice. I have been a patient here since October. I had an appointment scheduled for 830 this morning upon arriving. I was ignored by the staff for a good 10 minutes while standing at the desk, when finally somebody from the treatment floor acknowledged me they said they canceled my appointment due to scheduling conflicts and they were supposed to have called me, but I have no messages from Atlas PT! I got up early to be ready and to be here on time and then disappointed that nobody's here to see me and that nobody contacted me to reschedule an appointment. I'm canceling all future appointments and I will find another physical therapy company to work with very disappointed in the service or the lack respect for your customers. read more

I have worked with PTs before where it's questionable if you're even getting anything from the sessions. Isabella at Atlas was great! She listened, did a physical check of my knee each time, and then recommended and demonstrated increasingly more challenging exercises to help me to gain more strength at each visit. End of September, 2016: Yes, I'm still back at Atlas Physical Therapy! I've had the left shoulder surgery, 6 months ago, and it's going well. Glad I had the surgery. I've been doing my physical therapy, and following doctor's orders, to make sure I recover. So far, things are fine. Brianna, my PT, is great! No, wait, she's GREAT! She listens very well, and helps you step-by-step through the entire LONG (yes, LONG) process of recovery. She is good! I highly recommend her and Atlas Physical Therapy for you PT needs. Alas, I am just about done with PT, or what Bri and Atlas can help me with, at this point in my recovery period. It's one to more aggressive strength building and weights, which I'm not looking forward to. Oh well, that's how it is. Anyway, consider Atlas Physical Therapy, won't you? You will be glad you did. I saw Jamie for a bad case of vertigo. When I was initially diagnosed in the ER, I was told to just wait it out and it would go away. I was given motion sickness pills and sent home. After 3 weeks of dizziness and being unable to drive, a friend of mine recommended I see Jamie. Jamie explained what was happening with the crystals in my inner ear and did a series of exercises to find out which side of my ears needed to be adjusted. After his adjustment I was immediately better!! NO more dizziness. Jamie is a God send. No joke. I saw him a couple more times again when I had a bout of vertigo and again he fixed me. He is amazing! I had a hip orthoscopy to repair a torn labrum in June and am so glad that I found Atlas to help me through recovery. Jeremy and Dave have been a critical part of me getting back on my feet. Specifically, Atlas provides everything you need (on terms of a PT facility) but it's clear that the therapists and exercise consultants are qualified and really care about their patients well-being and goals. I have been working with Melissa and Dillon for the last couple of months and they are a great team. I feel fully cared for and they are really getting to the root cause of my knee issues. Each week we peel back another layer and I get more strengthening and flexibility exercises to help correct the problems. I recommend Atlas Physical Therapy, specifically Jamie Bovay! I tore my right rotator cuff in October 2012 and was referred to Jamie in an effort to prevent surgery. Jamie worked with me for a few months, but unfortunately the tear was more severe than expected and required reconstructive surgery. Post surgery (as in the same week) I returned to Jamie for PT. After only two weeks of PT, my orthopedic surgeon said that my recovery rate was way ahead of the curve compared to most, which I believe was due to Jamie's expertise. Several months after completing my PT, I emailed Jamie to see if it were possible to get copies of the resistance band strengthening exercises to use, as I started going back to the gym and wanted to use them for a pre-workout warmup. Without question or hesitation, Jamie developed an advanced shoulder strengthening program for me to use as needed. I've had a lot of P.T., and am always disappointed by the quality, the rush, inattention and passing you around to inexperienced junior therapists- resulting in my failure to progress. I could do better on my own. I found Atlas on Yelp and prayed they would be different, and they are! Knowledgeable, experienced therapists who care. Yes there's still a time limit but they don't make you feel rushed, and they're not doing 2-3 other people at once. They pay attention, listen and care. After a car accident in March, I was experiencing back and neck pain and was searching for a new Physical Therapist. Since I work in Downtown Denver, driving to Boulder to see my previous Physical Therapist was very inconvenient. A co-worker of mine recommended Atlas Physical Therapy since it was in Uptown and I am so glad she did. Jamie Bovay does absolutely amazing work and he is very communicative, skilled and I feel like he's really mastered his craft. He pairs his treatment with a variety of exercise techniques during our one-hour session and it's incredibly helpful. He is focused on getting me to feel as close to 100% as possible and he consistently gives me a heads-up when there is a risk involved with a certain technique he's doing. I've been to a chiropractor who seems to leave me in worse condition than I came to him with and a Physical Therapist who was only focused on dry-needling and it's been discouraging. This was my second go around at Atlas Physical Therapy. The first was 8 years ago when they were just starting out. Due to my first experience, it was a no brainer to go back. If you are in need of physical therapy, this is the only place in Denver you should consider. I worked with Lukas and Abbie this time. They are both fantastic people who take the time to really get to know you. You don't feel like you are just a patient. They are going to push you, so be ready to put in the work. Trust me, you will be better off in the end. From what I saw, the entire staff is first class. You will be in good hands no matter who is treating you. Useful to know that this location has accessible parking, unlike the downtown location. I chose this one because I was on crutches so easy parking was a must. I was in an ATV accident and went from being on crutches to going back to normally running just a few months. Luke and Abby did a wonderful job! They were attentive, thorough, and extremely personable. They really catered to my needs or how I was feeling that day. And even though some days I was in a ton of pain, they were so pleasant to talk to that it distracted me. They really do amazing work, highly recommend. read more

I've had 3 chest surgeries over the course of the last year and a half with constant mobility/pain issues. I've been going to Atlas Physical Therapy for a few months now and my mobility has significantly increased! The physical therapy is good. The billing people are some of the ruddiest people I have ever had to deal with. Do NOT get an outstanding balance with them. They made an error on my bill where they were suppose to be charging me more. They realized if after a couple times going. Then I am stuck with an outstanding bill of over 500 dollars on top of my other medical bills. Instead of being understanding since it was there mistake they have been rude demanding me how much I can pay every month. I have been to a number of physical therapists for my wrist and both ankles after injury. I recently went to see Jeremy Bruhn at Atlas for a severe ankle and lower leg injury. I haven't had a better PT experience anywhere. He was able to identify the issue and used acupuncture and stretching to lossen up my ankle and lower leg which made the whole area immediately feel better/more normal. I have been to a lot a PT offices where it seems like they structure your recovery plan to keep you coming back, this was not the case here. Jermey and his staff showed me daily exercises to move my recovery along at home and emailed me instructions for those exercises. I would recommend this facility and Jeremy to anyone who needs PT or even needs an aessement on something that doesn't feel right. read more

I ruptured my Achilles Tendon i October of 2010 while playing flag football in Arizona and I started seeing Alex at Atlas PT in December of that same year. After surgery I was nervous that I would not be able to return to my sport again, and even worse I felt a little silly about that concern. All I can say is that this guy was great.He understood where I was coming from and there was never any judgement for my desire to return to being a "professional recreational athlete". The whole experience was great. Every visit I was greeted with a smile by the ladies at the desk, and the work Alex did to help get back to playing sports again was amazing. He did a lot of manual therapy and trigger point work to help loosen a knot in my calf which had a huge impact on my Range of motion. Furthermore, he guided me through exercises that I was able to do at the clinic as well as at the gym. 18 month later I am back to full speed and I feel that my recovery would not have been possible and as complete if not for the the opportunity to work with Alex and Atlas Physical Therapy. On a side note, I had such a great experience that I have referred multiple of my fellow "professional recreational athletes" to him, and they have all reported the same amazing stand out experience that I have! I've been to PT a lot mostly due to chronic ankle sprains from lifelong soccer activity at a high level. I'd rather not be such an experienced patient, but it does give me the ability to identify quality care and Atlas PT provides exactly that. I worked with Jamie Bovay on an initially frustrating nerve issue in my heel. The best compliment I can pay him is that he has the experience, knowledge, and humility a provider needs to frequently re-assess the diagnosis and treatment plan. Having myself been a provider of a different discipline in the past, I can tell you that these characteristics are essential to executing good care. I had ACL repair knee surgery in January and have been working with Melissa ever since. Melissa has been the best part of my recovery. ACL recovery time is a LONG 6 months. It's been so nice to have a PT that knows exactly how my body works, pushes me to get better, and is always positive. When I come in with a problem, Melissa is quick to come up with new, creative workouts to speed up my recovery. Melissa was at ATI PT and moved to Atlas after ATI closed down. When I first saw Melissa Thomas at Atlas, I only had about 30 degrees of motion in my leg. After major knee surgery and being told by my surgeon that I'd never run again at age 27, I'm delighted to share that I'm back to light jogging a mere 6 months later. I have chronic back problems due to differing leg lengths, and Brianna at Atlas was the first person to truly acknowledge the problem and actually want me to feel better and have a long-term solution. My experience at Atlas Physical Therapy has been absolutely amazing. I was referred by my pain management physician after experiencing a lot of hip flexor and lower back pain. I'm not a fan of pain medication and had not experienced any relief from injections. I've been meeting with Bri Wahl once a week and I've seen an incredible amount of improvement in my pain levels and mobility. We've not only worked on physical exercises and stretches, but she's done some dry needling on my hips as well. I honestly don't think I would have seen the results I have without PT. My experience with Atlas was phenomenal. I've had chronic neck/shoulder pain since I was a teenager (~10 years) and had tried many different things - including cortisone shots, anti-inflammatory meds, etc. and nothing worked. After a few months of PT with Jamie my pain has gone down dramatically. I sleep through the night now and my wife can put her head on my shoulder without me cringing in pain. I've had neck and upper back pain for about 8 years. I took medication on a daily basis. The past year or so it just got worse to the point I was avoiding things. My doctor recommended physical thearapy. I went to atlas physical thearapy because they were very friendly and explained everything they wanted to do to help me. My thearapist was named Jamie and he was great. The office is very clean and so convenient to my home. I live downtown. They have Saturday hours so getting and appointment was never difficult. I highly recommend Atlas. I now have no pain. I don't take medication anymore and have started doing physical activities that I have avoided for years. read more

After using Atlas PT for lumbar herniated disc 2 years ago, I went back to Atlas PT for bulging disc in my cervical spine. Both experiences were extremely positive with great outcomes. I had a Total Knee Replacement on November 21, 2016. Atlas Physical Therapy was one of the providers recommended by my surgeon Ted Parks with Western Orthopaedic. Fortunately, I chose Atlas and highly recommend them. Luke, Abby and Matt were my primary care providers and they were all fantastic. Each was very personable, knowledgeable and totally focused on doing whatever it took to aid in my recovery. My experience with PT is it never hurts to work with people with senses of humor too, because there will be times you need to find something to laugh about while you are pushing to get better. All three had that as well. The team at Atlas had me at 120 degrees of flex in my repaired knee at 6 weeks, something many people don't achieve until 3 months or even longer. Ultimately, they got me to 135 degrees of flex, equal to what I have in my other knee, with no pain. One of the additional things I loved about Atlas was they gave my 5 exercises to do at home after my first visit. While I did many others during my visits, those remained my home exercises. Every other PT I have been to adds home exercises each time you go in. My experience is the more they add, the less likely you are to do any of them.
