It doesn't look like much when you pull in, a dark color building with a gravel parking lot with one small sign saying handle bar ans grill. I am basing this review over my experience with customer service, atmosphere, and food choices. My experience with the customer service at Handle Bar was great. The waitress was quick with bringing new drinks out and she kept checking to make sure everything was going good. The food came out within 15 minutes and the whole experience was fast. The atmosphere was a warm style. Darker orange color surrounds the wall covered in beer signs. For a bar and grill, they could use better and bigger tvs but the experience of a game wasn't compromised. The workers wear black and it keeps the place looking dark but with a warm color scheme making it feel like an enjoyable place to enjoy a great meal. The Menu at Handle Bar is a smaller menu. There is a choice of 10 main entrees that includes a choice of 2 sides and toast. They also have a large selection of 8 burgers and 13 sandwiches. Overall, i would recommend this restaurant to someone looking to have a good bar style meal or dink in the environment that is cool and home worthy. read more

The food is better than most they could add a few things to the menu to help out but if you can't find something you can never go wrong with the chicken fried steak or a good ole cheese burger the beer is cold and the drinks are stiff the help is top notch I've never had to wait on a refill but they don't hover through the meal either the help and the service kept them from getting a 3 star cause the food is definitely a little pricey for what it actually is great environment for watching the game overall a top choice in Great Bend! read more

Pot roast sandwich was delicious and plenty of meat on Texas Toast. Onion Rings and Potato Chips are both homemade. Country gravy was good too! We were seated right away and food came out quickly. read more

I ordered a Tavern Nachos from Handlebar & Grill on 10th St. I ordered it with NO Jalapeno Peppers. They still put Jalapeno Peppers on it. It was for a client and she could not eat it. That was a waste of $ 20.00 read more

The food was very delicious hardly left any to go we had the turkey club sandwich, the chicken fried steak sandwich, the bbq pulled pork sandwich, buffalo chicken sandwich, and the ribeye steak!!! The service was awesome our waitress was super friendly and attentive to us! When I walked thru the front door everything was so clean and spacious!! Awesome local spot, first time visiting! Just what I expected. The food was simple and good. Had the grilled chicken and mashed potatoes. Service was down-home, folksy. I felt like I was eating chicken my uncle had grilled over at my aunt's house. Nothing splashy, just a decent, no frills place to eat. read more

I heard all the rave reviews on FB about this place from people who live in Great Bend. Its mediocre. I Steak fingers, Ask for my fries to be extra crispy they came out wimpy and very seasoned too much so. Breading fell off my steak fingers. Not good all the way around. Didn't eat it.
