Stay away from this daycare at all costs! I put my child in a classroom and wanted to review the…read morevideo surveillance to see how he was adjusting. The director, Susan was hesitant to show me the video footage. After viewing it I discovered my child's teacher putting the children's food in her mouth, chewing it, taking it out of her mouth and putting it in the children's mouths, no hand washing, even after changing diapers without gloves, poor supervision (teacher had back faced toward toddlers while sitting at a desk on another task other than supervising children). Children were putting objects on floor and other children's shoes in their mouth. My child was unsupervised and climbed into some shelving under the changing table. Teacher saw my child in there and did not remove him and he fell out and hit his head on the tile floor causing a big welt. I went to the director, Susan about these concerns and she said, "Well maybe your child shouldn't go here" instead of addressing my concerns. I pulled him out immediately. My husband is also active military and we were part of the army fee assistance program (they pay percentage to daycare and daycare charges us remainder). Susan was charging us full price AND collecting payments from GSA. She pocketed money from the federal government and is lying trying to say she did not collect those payments when I have proof from the government she did. She was upset that I asked she pay this money back so she called my employer to complain about me! WOW! Horrible horrible horrible.

My baby is on medicine that makes it hard for him to cope with his emotions, and they're so patient…read morewith him. He was going to another daycare before this one where he'd be kicking and screaming when I'd drop him off, and here, he just LOVES it. Now he'll walk right to his classroom and wave goodbye. if i could give zero stars i would. please see below:…read more this is the experience that i have had with a daycare in east texas, in no way is any information false or given with malicious intent. this is for informative purposes only ************this happened at usa planet kids in tyler texas they have been rude to me, rude to my mom and to my child all because i had a problem with my child's face being attacked and there was no accident report on file. the childcare facility is now stating that my 2 yr. old child who has never been a problem is injuring himself and telling the teacher to "write it up" after telling me who the child was that was doing this to my baby-flip flopping their story was sign number 10 million that something was wrong. i feel that this daycare is hiding something. they seemed very defensive and acted extremely apprehensive about letting me see the video footage as there is "no audio". if you know anyone who has a child that attends this childcare facility please spread the word. this is not the first complaint made, they have serveral demerits on file with the state, at least 33 and teacher turnover rate is significantly high. parents i urge you to be cautious with the individuals taking care of your children.

That's 5 days after the fact. The director told me that they called the state immediately on Friday to "self report" to the state and that the state had already finished their investigation on Monday. We the parent weren't notified by anyone until 5 days later! This is unacceptable! We also found out that the director lied about when she notified the state as well as when the state came and about the investigation being complete. The director did not report until Tuesday and the state didn't come out until wed and found out via the state that the investigation is not closed. To top things off this daycare acts like they have all this security. The cameras do not record at all. How convenient when trying to check on incidents that their cameras don't record. Why have them then? They are literally useless in securing our children. The director then victimizes us again the next day saying that they would feel more comfortable if our 2 year old went somewhere else. Really?!?!! They might want to look at the states parents rights on being retaliated against. I made this yelp page because people need to know about anchor academy and they have hidden behind the churches website reviews. Not cool! We also paid them $160 a week to teach and care for our child and this is what they taught him and others when counting. 1.2.3.4.5.6.money 8 9 10. They taught our child ignorance and now we have to re teach him how to properly say the number 7. Keep your child away from this place.

It can be scary to leave your child with strangers, but the folks at Live Oak are anything but. They feel like family and we know she is safe and happy. She has learned so much in such a short time. She is always happy to go to "school" and actually looks forward to seeing her friends. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Live Oaks to anyone wanting a loving, safe, fun environment for your child. The facility is small so there is a lot of love for each child.

Our kids are always happy to go here and get along very well with the teachers and the other children; love the food and snacks, and love to learn here. As working parents, we value and have enjoyed seeing our kids develop educationally and socially at an accelerated rate thanks to the education and environment provided by the staff at Live Oak. The owner, manager and staff are very attentive to all of the children and have activities planned daily for them. Live Oak operates by routine for each age class. These are just a few reasons we love Live Oak and why they are always full. If you are planning or expecting, it is best to talk to them in advance to get on the wait list before your child needs daycare. It will be worth it.
