The lady behind the counter who helped me was super friendly and nice. And she wrapped what I bought with a lot of care. I wish I lived in Ashland and could visit them more often. I bought a few of their beautiful leather bookmarks for myself, but they're going so fast because everyone loves them and wants one! I wish they had things they sell in their store on their website too, so I could order more bookmarks, but sadly that's not the case.

The last time I went in they did it again but with several items and refused to refund my money! Jan actually kept my receipt and said she needed to check on it and would call me which she never did! 4 weeks later I called in since i didn't hear back from her and she said that she couldn't refund me cause nobody remembered double charging me when it was plain as day on my receipt that I was! One is more of a wide variety but more modern, Tree house focuses more on kids and young adults, the Book Exchange is more like a library with collections, older , modern, categorized etc. this is a wonderful thing because you can't help but go through all of them. Treehouse does have a wide selection but over all vibe is bring your kids in and there is a flavor of literature for everyone. When our kids were little Santa left books at the foot of the bed so they could unwrap and stay in bed and read until it was at least 7am. Well, 20 and 22 and we're still doing it. I needed a couple of recommendations and could not have been happier to have help from the staff. Kind, knowledgeable and chock full of fantastic ideas. What I thought would be me meandering the aisles for hours (not that I don't love to do that, I just couldn't today) turned into a quick amazing process. If I could give 10 I would.
