My son ordered a beautiful Stargazer lily arrangement for my birthday this July. The blooms were magnificent, the scent intoxicating and lasted in my living room for over eleven days! I could not have been more pleased and enjoyed my gift more! I am a gardener and grow Stargazers myself, but these were exceptional! You know, when you are calling from out of town (another state actually) and you are sobbing a bit (death of a relative) you need a kind voice who understands that you might not be articulating as well as usual. I love this place especially the staff! I have a very special elderly mom who lives in town who I only want the best for. I live out of state and depend on the florist attention to detail and friendly staff to make it special and beautiful. Each time we have phone in an order Holly or the other staff were very friendly on the phone. They already knew my mom's name and address from the last order and always reassured me it was all taken care of. This March I had flowers delivered to her for her birthday. When they arrived at her home, my mother was slow to answer the door as most elderly. They called her phone to let her know she had a delivery. When she answer the phone they first wished her a very sweet "happy birthday " and then waited for her patiently. Who does that!!! Many thanks to Rogue Florist for their outstanding arrangement and delivery service. My Uncle was in a rehab facility at Laurel Hill recently. I called Rogue Florist and they were very helpful in helping to place an order for the Fields of Europe bouquet and balloon to be delivered. On the day of delivery I found out from my Mom my Uncle had been transported to 3 Rivers Hospital overnight. I was on a conference call at the time so sent an email to Rogue Florist shortly before they opened letting them know of the change in delivery address. I wasn't sure how often they checked their email and was thinking they wouldn't get the message in time but sure enough they called soon after and assured me the bouquet had been delivered to his room at the hospital. I was so appreciative. My Uncles condition worsened over the next day and he had to be resuscitated and put on a ventilator and was in ICU. It gave me comfort knowing that tho I couldn't be there with him the floral delivery from Rogue Florist brought him great joy during such a difficult time. My Mom said it was one of the prettiest arrangements she had ever seen and he very much enjoyed looking at it. Sadly my Uncle passed away several days later. I had an unpleasant experience using this florist based upon their low standards and poor customer service. I ordered an arrangement over the phone from Rogue River Florist right before Christmas for my boyfriend's parents. I knew the area was having weather problems. When I called and spoke to Sandy, she confirmed that they had power and still had plenty of flowers. When it sounded as if they may not have enough flowers to make a larger arrangement, I selected a smaller one from a picture on the website as Sandy and I looked at the website together. The website picture showed 5 large roses, some spray roses (smaller), carnations, and some evergreen with a red and gold decorative vase. Sandy told me they would replace spray roses (they were running low) with other flowers to raise the value to what I was paying. My boyfriend sent me pictures of the arrangement that arrived and it was a horrific mishmash of a few carnations, 2 roses, and evergreen branches sticking out all over the place jammed in a container. I will try to post a picture of it so you can judge for yourself. When I called to complain, Sandy said she could send out a few more roses but it looked fine to her when it went out and she did not believe it only had 2 roses. She was unfriendly, unhelpful, and unwilling to make it right. She actually said to me, "This is crazy! They looked fine to me." She said she would call my boyfriend's parents to confirm that there were only 2 roses as she did not believe it - she said there had to have been at least 3. I said they should send an alternative arrangement but her excuse was that they did not have another decorative vase that she claimed cost $25. She was not willing to sacrifice another glass vase to replace the arrangement. I offered to let the driver take the ugly arrangement and put the new arrangement in the alleged $25 vase. I said she should go ahead and send the 3 additional roses if that was all they were willing to do. I half expected someone to deliver 3 pitiful roses in a wet paper towel the way she reluctantly spit the offer out. To be fair, two days later days later, three additional roses were delivered in a nice little arrangement in a small glass vase. The funny thing is that the 3 rose arrangement looked 100% better than the original arrangement in the decorative vase. Summary: Go to any other florist or go through a big company so you have some recourse. If you use this florist, consider yourself forewarned. They have pitifully low standards for flower arrangements and customer service and will not deliver what is pictured on their website. Also, their delivery charges are higher than advertised on their website. read more
