Before we get to the good stuff, there are positive comments to say about the logistics. 1. Scheduling was easy. She has set appointment times and clear guidelines on her website about what to expect. I set up a 90-minute massage. 2. Misty works out of her home. The location is convenient and near downtown. Inside is clear, inviting, and comfortable. 3. Professionalism: Misty asked me a few intake questions to find out what was going on with my body and took notes, which I needed for insurance purposes. Misty, like most massage therapists, does not take insurance, but since she is licensed, getting reimbursed will be no issue. She provided me with notes on the session. Now the best part! Misty brings to the (massage) table a rare blend of technical expertise and artistry. She listened to my requests and was completely attentive to what I needed during the massage. I already had three massages from other therapists since the accident, and I have to say that Misty found muscles that the other therapists either missed or didn't know about. Misty's attention to detail is exceptional. My experience on her table was therapeutic, but also blissfully relaxing, which can be difficult when you're in pain. Misty used a number of different techniques and modalities, and it is clear that she has continued to hone her craft and expertise over the years. After the massage I felt more open and and at ease in my body. I have scheduled my next massage with Misty and plan to complete the rest of my prescribed sessions with her.
