Having our daughter attend the Children's Garden has been a grateful experience for us, especially when all the schools were disrupted in some way. She was able to interact with her peers and her teacher in an intimate and safe environment. From tending to their own garden box, to the various activities in the outdoor classroom, from learning the basic building blocks of academics, to learning how to interact with peers, the experience at the school helped our four year old blossom. The first year of school was amazing, and the second year was even better. The parents were so involved, and the teacher is more than qualified with a big heart. When school is out, my daughter cries that she misses Ms. K, and when I ask her what she likes about her school, she shouts "Everything!"

Each kid has their own garden box and learns how to care for flowers, vegetables and herbs. They pick their own favorite and grow them from seed. A greenhouse even accompanies the garden. Wildlife visits the garden many times per day, and the kids love seeing all the different colors of hummingbirds, butterfly's, and even try to find the types they saw. I was amazed at the maturity and brilliance each kid showed- and they are five! Land ecosystems aren't the only thing they learn- Mrs K has a water ecosystem with two Axolotls and, to match with what they are learning, often has Caterpillars that turn into Butterfly's, Silkworms that become Moths, Tadpoles to Frogs, and more. The books on the shelves change to match the lesson plan. Spanish is also taught with the help of Rockalinga, the musical learning app. If you are worried about how your kid is doing, each parent can look through the camera hanging over the classroom at work or at home. To ensure the children's safety, they have an air purifier and Mrs K wears a mask at all times. Kids trace shapes and their name to build hand-strength and learn to write. From reading stories, teaching five-year-olds how to do long division, this place could not be a better fit.

They have become a second family. Mrs Jen and all the teachers have gone above and beyond my wildest dreams of a first school for my child. Mrs Corie has been incredible and from day one my daughter gravitated towards her. We have had Mrs Summer and Mrs Maria for two years now and they couldn't be better. They have been much more than teachers to us. We have gone thru some difficult times and their exact words to me I'll never forget were "we are your family now ".. This isn't just my daughter's school, this is a part of her young life that has helped mold her into a confident, bright and happy child. It's a school full of warmth and so much love. Sending my daughter to Coronado Prep Preschool was the best decision I could've made in not only her education, but in return we gained another family.. They are all INCREDIBLE.

The staff was incredibly kind, understanding, and accommodating throughout the entire process. They handled everything with so much patience and truly made us feel supported as parents navigating a tough transition phase. Even though we've decided to wait until our daughter is a bit older before trying again, I highly recommend this center to any family looking for a caring and attentive environment for their child. You can tell they genuinely care. We're very grateful and would absolutely consider coming back in the future.

I am a hairstylist in the area and I have spoken to a lot of other Mom's who have had similar experiences as I did. I won't go into the details but the owner of this place is an extremely unprofessional and an unpleasant person. Three of my clients and my coworker have had negative experiences here. Some ending in withdrawing also. The owner is disrespectful and aggressive with the parents. She has lots of personal issues that she involves her employees in. The girls that worked there were very nice, but I could see there was tension and strict inconsistent verbal abuse from the owner. If she is the owner, then her actions and attitude are a representation of the integrity of her establishment. I withdrew my child properly and waited the two weeks. But I would not go back. Although, my toddler loved her teachers there. They do not provide lunch for the kids and charge more than most daycares around. We have been at a daycare close to this one for two years now and we are so very happy. They are like family.

I called in the middle of April to see if there were openings so I could let the principal know whether or not I was available to work. They told me there were several openings however I was required to tour the facility no more than thirty days prior to her attending. Ok, even thirty days before was annoying bc my work needed an answer but whatever. So I showed up May 3, (a little less than thirty days) for my tour. The lady at the front said she tried to call me to let me know the owner decided she would no longer hold spots for people regardless of paying registration fee. Ummm what?! How is anyone supposed to start a job if they don't have daycare lined up??? The front desk lady said I can call a day or two before I have to start working to see if there's a spot or not. That is absolutely horrible to put a working parent in that kind of position. But the front desk lady let me know the owner didn't want to save my spot for thirty days because she didn't want to loose out on money if another child wanted to attend this month while she saved my spot. Ok whatever since money is so important and not customer service I'll look elsewhere. I've never heard of a daycare not holding ur spot with a paid registration fee. Even when I was pregnant we put the registration fee down at a different daycare facility months before even having the baby so she was guaranteed a spot so I could work. Response to owner: 1. I know you're very concerned about the daycare my child was in so just to inform you, they were full in July but did pre-register her for August (that means they're holding her spot from May-August)! 2. I wasn't told I could call weeks before to see if there were spots, the lady said a few days before. Besides, with your horrible policy who cares if I called "weeks" before clearly you wouldn't reserve a spot and all spots could've been gone the next day regardless according to you. 3. Shouldn't have wasted my time to even look at your school if it was already full-- hence me calling prior to tour. Maybe you will have less "teachers kids" in the summer due to summer break and you could've made a profit off of my child attending. Oh well overall it's best my child doesn't go there, it's clearly just a business.

She is constantly yelling at the children. Tells the parents that she will work with each student individually but does NOT (there are only a total of 8 students and about 5 teachers) but yet my daughter has yet to learn a single thing in the month that she has been there. She learned so much more at her other school. Ms. Carrol also told my daughter she is not smart and now she comes home saying "mommy I'm not smart, with my numbers" my daughter has yet to learn a single thing there. her previous school taught her the number one to six, and has yet to learn seven at this school. She just comes home feeling dumb like she can not learn, because of this miserable woman.

She learned far more than required to start Kindergarten; letters, numbers, colors, shapes, name recognition and the list goes on! The class sizes are very small, every child is known by name. Spanish is taught several times a week. Breakfast is family style and lunches are a time to visit and enjoy friends company. The toys are older, like the toys I grew up with. Not a bunch of blinking lights, stuff to engage the imagination! Children are taught to behave. I prefer things to be more strict because my kids are coddled so much at home. Its a good balance for my family. They have their own playground. Oh! My kiddo was even in the Newspaper! All of the teachers are older, its like sending them to Grandmas. (Grandma is loving but firm!) The children will emerge from Oaklane Academy as wholesome, well rounded learners. Beings that we are in a small town, I still see the kids my daughter went to school with, they are all very bright and respectful. These are not the kids you see throwing tantrums and having disciplinary issues. Mrs. Gordon had a pretty full field trip schedule in the summers as well. We love it so much that my three year old twins just started this week!

Some people say that the original apostles did not recite stories. Fact was they were mostly madmen. Yet they were worthy as disciples. At one time, most people never questioned the word of God. People said they went to temples to connect with god. But everyone will tell you that nothing feels more like the presence of god than a furious storm. Since everyone seemed to fear their god. I suppose it was natural for them to run from any storm. I imagine anyone who truly feels the love of their divine creator. Has the most questions. Especially when it often feels like god is constantly testing with life challenges. That kind of love, from a woman can drive a man wild. I imagine God's love, can send a man on insanely journeys. Some guy shot an arrow to get his attention. And I suppose other men have walked right into the beast of all storms. A leap of faith indeed. A madness that demands god to confront him. Either by peace of mind. Or death. Probably how "Give me liberty or give me death" originated. Unfortunately that kind of story is very difficult to validate. But I heard that a girl once witnessed a dead madman who walked in his own death. And even returned to tell her the entire story. I believe she goes by the name Grace.
