My son is 5yrs old and was unable to start kindergarten because of his late birthday and I have to say that he really loves it there at Kidtown and the teachers and staff are great and they are there for you in times of need or emergency. I also noticed that they are good at taking responsibility and accountability when I noticed a mother being informed about an accident with her child. I was debating whether or not to write a review, but as a parent who is looking for great care for my son from time to time, I feel that it is necessary to write about my experience... My son has only attended this place 3 or 4 times total. They allow drop-ins on the weekends which was pretty helpful being that we were new to the area and were moving to a new home close by. His first couple of visits seemed to go well, they provide you with a report as to when your child eats, sleeps and any other activities they like to keep you informed of, which is good thing. His last visit there was something different, upon bringing home and changing him out of his clothes, I noticed teeth marks in his back!!! Needless to say I was PISSED OFF!!! I immediately called them and spoke to one of their "teachers" and was informed that they didn't see anything and since he didn't cry they also didn't notice anything. Excuse me?? That sounded very dismissive to me as to cover their a$$es! My son is 17 months old, he should be under direct supervision at all times, why wasn't this seen? Were there too many kids in the room and not enough teachers? Are these teachers actually watching the kids, seems like I'll never know at this point. After speaking with the weekend teacher, she informed me she would make a report and let the director know. I did not get a response until I called back to speak with someone. I spoke with the assistant director and she told me she would look into the matter. After speaking with the teachers she said no one noticed anything, but that she would file a report about him being bit. That's great and all but you have a biter in your "school" and you have no idea who it is and doesn't seem important to them to look at video footage to find out. Whoever bit my son will probably do it again and really that's BS, their parents should be notified so that they can rectify this bad behavior!!! I don't understand the thought process of making a report about my son being bit, yet you have no idea who bit him, and really you're not doing anything to find out! My son will not be back, I don't trust or recommend this business. Our children are and should be the most important thing to a parent, and as a parent it's my job to make sure he is treated well and taken care of, he was NOT while in their care. read more

Tossed up to write this or not! Not impressed. Pulled our daughter out twice. Close to our house for convenience .. but Short tempered teachers!! Never smiled and sometimes just no hello whatsoever. I had walked in a few times to hear 'shut up' (once i walked straight back out with my child) or hear teachers yelling, i actually saw a teacher push a child but its my word against teacher.. If you don't mind your child sitting on dirty rug to watch tv very loud too (which i have mentioned) after dinner 7pm-11pm not allowed to move; then this is your daycare. At pickup; come in to see teachers on phones do not help with collecting items to take home and hear 'keep still sit down'', teachers complained of my daughter "not sitting still" or "doesn't listen", of course she will not listen if is bored or had enough but a teacher cornering me in parking lot was not on- winge and complain about silly stuff obviously she as a teacher not trained very good to handle situation. Our daughter is 4 and active; we do not appreciate her having to sit for so long watching tv, kids should be doing other activities in the evening which i was assured this would happen, so we took our daughter back to that daycare. Same attitude began after picking up: Very restless and angry. At times she would not get out of car.. no never again! I dont care how long a teacher been working there, if they are not happy it shows and reflects onto the kids, tell teachers to stop yelling and put a smile on their dials!! or overhaul and get quality teachers. read more

if you are looking for a daycare you can fond better. i was told to take down my original post from management and the owners or my daughter cannot come back and at that time, i had no choice but to take it down. long story short they told me i was paid up and current. a week later they told me i wasnt. i even had receipts proving it. called multiple times and never got a returned call back. i went to get my daughter and the manager stepped in my way and would not let me leave until i so called paid the already paid charge. they called my daughter's mom and convinced her to pay it even though it was caught up. you can find better... read more

I would give 10 stars if I could. Not only do they care about the kids...they care about the parents. No corporate bs where you feel like a number with outrageous fees for simply changing your schedule. All the staff members are welcoming and it's the same faces since my son started 15 months ago. I cannot say enough good things about KidTown. If you ever need a daycare in Henderson/Las Vegas, KidTown is the best. They also do drop-in and have summer camp with field trips like to the Discovery Children's Museum for elementary school kids. If you drive by the building, it doesn't stand out as fancy, but the employees make it phenomenal. Big brother loves Miss Veda and little man loves all the teachers but especially Miss Jordan and Miss Charlotte. They are open 7 days a week, early am/late nights, many holidays and being a hospital employee, this is important to me but I didn't just want to pick a daycare because it's open, I wanted to pick one I would trust would be safe, nurturing, promote play, and be a positive learning environment. The boys have a tough time with transitions, little man used to get upset if I went to the bathroom and he couldn't see me. He cried every day the first five weeks which to me felt like forever but the teachers were so patient. One time Miss Charlotte even met us in the parking lot when she saw that the little man was crying and helping ease the transition. Now the boys don't want to leave at the end of the day because of their friends and teachers. Little man struts in and hugs every teacher and big brother has made friends there. I can go to work knowing the kids are safe, learning, and having fun. While touring daycares, I wasn't convinced on any of them, there were fancy buildings but they seemed more of a business than a place for children to play; I wanted a balance of learning and play. Then there was one place where the teachers reeked of cigarette smoke. I also knew I wouldn't be able to hang out on a waiting list as I need to balance my work and kids. I have degrees in psychology-child life and infant-toddler mental health so it was hard to entirely please me, but I love my job and still need to work. KidTown has made that possible by going above and beyond even dealing with emotional and medical issues. They allow little man's occupational therapist to work with him while at daycare which is a help. This summer little man went through a period where he was on a soft food diet and "no contact sports" per his dr and the teachers helped make sure he only ate foods I packed or checked with me on what qualified and what does no contact sports mean to a 3 yr old? I defined it as please make sure he doesn't tackle his brother as he is usually the instigator. The staff are wonderful. One day I went to pick the kids up and little man was in clothes that weren't even his backup pair. He was on Miralax and had had a diarrhea accident all over himself even in his shoes, and they thoroughly cleaned, wiped him down, bagged his clothes, and he kept on playing through the day. I am so glad I made the right decision to send the kids there. One day in the grocery store the older boy wanted to play ninja and the little one said, "My teacher (Miss Jordan) says no guns." He follows rules and applies positive rules to our home. Miss Jordan has impeccable classroom management. The kids are thriving and it is in large part due to the amazing teachers who greet the children warmly and treat them like family. read more

Absolutely love this daycare! My 15 m.o son goes here full time and has been enrolled for a little over threes weeks. The director Angie is a joy and always says hello and asks how my little guy is doing when she sees him. Toni her co-director is just amazing as well. They are always available to answer my calls and never seem annoyed if I'm calling often to ask a question or check on my balance or my son. I can tell that my son's teacher cares about all of her students and takes care of him like one of her own. When he was sick once she said "He just isn't acting like himself" and I appreciate her taking the time to get to know my little one and what he's like when he is well and I feel like other daycares don't do that or really care. They ACTUALLY get to go outside for play and I always pick up my little one tired from playing all day and having fun. Amazing hours and very flexible with you. Can't imagine going anywhere else. I love it here. I recommend this place to all of my baby-mamma friends. Clean facility and good ratio of staff to children. I can tell that the school children are having fun because I drop him off during the after-school shift and always see them playing fun games with the teachers involved. We have been at Kidtown for over 18months. I first found them when I was a single mom to 2 kids, one as a foster child. I am a nurse and work long hours and inconsistent days. They have always worked with me and my schedule, I have never had to worry about my children's safety or even their happiness. When my son started he was developmentally behind, for safety reasons he couldn't be with his age group. I was worried he wouldn't advance since he didn't see other kids running around, but they worked with him and when it was safe, brought him around older kids. I truly believe it was their diligence that got my son back on par. My kids absolutely love Kidtown. They ask to go and play even on our days off. My kids are now 4 and 3, every staff member knows my kids, their personalities, my daughters attempt at manipulation and how to talk my son down during his tantrums.
