Fortunately Russ was there, and while he was a professional and didn't step on the other guys toes, I noticed he seemed like he wanted to say something. So after talking to him, I learned that a toilet replacement is not at all difficult, and nor is a rebuild, and he would be happy to do either for just his hourly rate.
