I thought the staff was friendly and that it didn't look like much from the outside but the inside was maintained beautifully. If I'm ever on this side of the mountain again I'll be returning. It's not the cheapest gas on the street but it's safe and clean and that's my priority.

It is not the cleanest place. But it is one of the places. And sometimes, that's all it needs to be. For travelers along I-80 EB now reading this. Tsk, tsk. You should have stopped in Wendover at the Flying J. I got a killer t-shirt of a mountain man with an awesome beard and a rifle chasing a bear for $5 there. Now your gas light is on, and you don't want to press it. Grantsville is not and easy on/easy off town. You get off, travel south for a bit, then find the main drag. There are a few gas stations to choose from, and you'll be fine at any of them. On the bright side, you get to see Grantsville; a charming little town a few miles off the beaten path and a glimpse into one of many small town Utah portraits. There are worse things to see. For travelers along I-80 WB. Seriously? You didn't get gas before leaving Salt Lake? And you passed the Tooele exit without gas? Well, you better get it here. Again, if you've got a few minutes, it will be a fun trip into town. For non-travelers. This is as good as place as any to get gas. Not a lot of services here, but you've got the pay at the pump and the easy access, and it's on the west side of town near the turnoff to the Willow Canyons, so spread the love around and get your Sinclair on. Not much in the way of a shop, but it'll fill your tank.

When I calmly asked if we had misheard, she doubled down and said, "I sure did, because he is," and continued to justify speaking that way to a child. Saying "sorry, but he is" is not an apology. She also stated she had already fallen off the ladder once, apparently as justification. If she felt unsafe, that is a management and safety issue. It is not an excuse to verbally attack a child. When my husband later came in to address it, we were told to leave the store instead of being treated with basic respect. No accountability, no real apology. Completely unacceptable behavior.

My patient has a service animal and was in her vest and in an over the shoulder harness so his service animal can be close to his heart as he has rare heart condition and alerts on his heart as well as autism. On the way into the store the lady coming out with trash said excuse me man that not a service animal. When told she is a service animal and having proof she also told my disabled patient he wasn't disabled either. Then while in the store she refused me service because my patient said he was going to report her. She then in front of me and customers was making rude comments of my patient who is disabled saying he is not disabled and his dog's not a service animal having people come out of the store pointing and laughing at him. There is camera footage of this. The police were called and a civil rights lawsuit is going to be charged against them for discrimination against the disabled person. I hope they are fired because after I'm done they won't even want to be seen. We showed them his disability placard which we don't have to and his service animal vest with paperwork and they didn't care. And none of that's required and she still refused service. I hope everybody sees this and realizes what kind of company this is. People who openly discriminate against disabled people in front of other people to get a laugh are the worst type of people and should be charged to the fullest degree and ashamed of themselves. There will be more to come as I show proof with the police report and pictures. Any company who employs people like that to discriminate against disabled people need to be let go and shut down. The fact is my patient is seriously mentally disabled and is considered an adult at risk. And that's how people treated him.

Probably the biggest reason I like Maverik's is for the almost always clean bathrooms. Having a reliable place to go when you're on the go is important to me. On top of that, the hot food section is pretty decent in terms of selection and during certain hours, you can order food from the grill. I really like their selection of granola/protein bars too. If you find yourself frequenting Maverik locations, I definitely recommend becoming a rewards member. It's free! You can stock up points for things you normally buy and work your way to free snacks and sodas. Whenever I'm on the road and need to stop somewhere, Maverik's is almost always my first pick if it's close.

The soda machine has a wide variety and great flavor of slushees. 2 - they are the most well lit gas stations out there. Safety matters to me when I'm getting gas, especially being a woman with young kids. I appreciate the wide array of bulbs keeping me feeling secure. 3 - they're very clean, inside and around the pumping stations. 4 - the gas is reasonably priced
