This location is always crazy busy, but it's the closest in proximity to us, and close to Dollar Tree, PetSmart, Walmart, and Target, so we tend to frequent this location. Did you know that this is the biggest Costco in the world? Right here in Salt Lake City! I definitely have to hype myself up to come here. It's ALWAYS busy. They have a large parking lot but you have to circle it multiple times to find parking. They have a great selection here, and despite how busy it is, everything is always pretty organized. I love the food court, I'm a sucker for their pizza and ice cream sundaes. You order at their kiosks and everything is super easy and comes out quickly. They have car services, glasses services, air conditioning services, and so much more - there's literally so much in here. Friendly staff and a huge selection of items. Coming from California, this was not a regular Costco to me. This was a mega supersized Costco. This Costco was the largest that I have ever stepped foot into. It was double the size of a normal California Costco. This location contained a regular and a business Costco. They had everything that I normally find and more! It has been years since I've seen a can of clams, but they had it. I saw meats that my local Costco doesn't carry like a whole frozen duck, a whole goat, and Japanese A5 Wagyu New York Steak. It was great stepping foot inside this location as they carried a lot more items than normal. Even their clothing was different from what is normally sold in Californa. It's a great place to spend a couple of hours. I enjoyed my time here and would love to return one day. read more

During today's visit, I only went to Costco for gas. I'm hesitant to give out this secret, but if you go early in the morning, there is no line in the gas station area. The gas station is easy to use and has regular, premium, and diesel gas. The pumps are safe to use because there is a red sticker over the credit card readers. If the sticker is broken, notify the gas station attendant and don't use that pump. Your Costco card is easy to use at the pump, too. Just scan it and use either your Costco credit card or use a card of your choice. read more

Scan my card- get pulled aside and told that I can't enter the building 15 min early due to not having executive card. I'm sorry but I was coming from out of town today and I honestly was ready to cancel my membership after this experience. Did I wait 15 min in my car---- no! Being from WA originally, I'm a HUGE Costco fan and supporter. That being said, this spot was disappointing. I was informed that this is currently the largest Costco in the world. Not sure if that's true or not but it apparently wasn't big enough to have all the stuff I would expect to find at a stand alone Business Costco. I mean, I'm fine with the hybrid model if they still have all the stuff but they didn't and I had to go find the thing I needed elsewhere after spending a bunch of time searching for it here because I couldn't wrap my mind around the idea that a place that claimed to be a Business Costco wouldn't carry Hotel Pans. Do better. Salt Lake is full of very entrepreneurial people and they need an actual standard Business Costco. I don't live there but my kids do and I'm speaking on their behalf read more

I was expecting different items for the area as I have seen at other Costcos. I was looking for the wine section and was told they don't sell alcohol that I would have to go to a liquor store. I said it's not that I like to see the different wine selections for the different areas. She said yea we are different we don't have wine. I thought it was funny. read more

I love Costco!! If I could I'd go every week. This is the biggest Costco in the world so you can spend an afternoon wandering around. It's fun to get lost. I've never had a bad experience here. According to google, this is the worlds largest Costco. And...it is huge! Go early as it becomes very crowded within a few hours of opening. Otis too far for me to drive here on a regular basis, but every 6 months, it is a fun adventure. Always find a deal here...love this store. read more

This Costco is REALLY GOOD! Better than the ones in Fairfield, CA, Redwood City and Mountain View California, and those are all good, too. The Customer Service staff at this Costco are efficient & nice! When I have to go there. The SLC store could use more parking. And its clothing section is a weak point. Its clothing section is just piles of folded casual clothes, except for 1 table of plain white shirts for men. The prepared food section, mainly lunch, is MUCH better in SLC than in Fairfield, CA! The cooked pizzas in SLC are good! I never tried the automotive & tires but friends tell me they're good. I buy nearly all my gas at SLC Costco, and it's good! Only Sam's Club can compete. read more

BIGGEST COSTCO IN THE USA! That's right, you're going to want to check this place out! It can be a bit of an overwhelm at some points so I recommend enduring this with a loved one, family member, or friend. They have everything your regular Costco has, and then a TON of other stuff, syrups for all your coffee or soda needs. Restaurant supplies and definitely equipment to purchase that you won't see at any other Costco. This is the bees knees when it comes to Costco's. If you live anywhere near it, you have to go at least once just to say you've been, otherwise you are missing out on what this store has to offer. read more

Their pharmacy is staffed with unhelpful individuals. Jenny informed me today that my medication was out of stock and they had no idea when it would be back in stock. I then asked her if she could check with other Costco Pharmacies to see if they have my medication in stock and she looked at me like I had just asked her to fly to the moon. I guess it's too much to ask a pharmacy technician to see if your medication is in stock at another location. read more

My only negative comment on Costco is why they contract with Superior Air and Water. Superior has the absolute worst customer experience as well as overall quality of work. Costco needs to find a more reputable and trustworthy partner. Below is my experience with Superior: I had Superior water and air install a new furnace as well as a new central air conditioner. I regretted the entire process. Looking back on it now from the time the salesperson came to my home to the actual installation it was not a favorable experience. But the moment that cemented my regret occurred when the installer called the main office involving question surrounding my electrical system and the other employer on the phone didn't realize his co worker had put him on speaker phone and as we were both listening the "boss" main office person said and I quote, "Well you tell the f***ing homeowner that we need this done..." I asked the worker on scene to speak with the individual who said this and said "well you are speaking to the f***ing homeowner now." I said is this how you treat and value your customers? Essentially, I asked for some type of compensation or recognition that Superior violated their contract by not providing superior customer service. After many delays and runarounds Superior did not admit or try to make the situation better. Because the job was already almost completed I stuck with them thinking they would do the right thing. I called and reported them to Costco because of their relationship with the huge wholesaler. I'm not sure what if anything Costco did. Regardless, I would never, ever recommend them to family or friends and am still in disbelief regarding their handling of the situation as well as the fact the situation even occurred. read more
