There is not enough space for me to share what an OUTSTANDING experience we had with Lane Homes…read morefollowing a bursted pipe and flood in our 1906 historic home in December 2022. After months of dealing with demo and setbacks with mold, lead and asbestos we were very jaded and wondered if the house would ever be restored to its former glory. We had multiple friends who worked with Lane homes for their renovations and they all recommended them highly. Ed Lane came out in June 2023 six months after the flood once demo was complete. He was professional, knowledgeable, super communicative and set our minds at ease. Work began in July and we were told to expect it to last four months. In my mind I hoped it would be complete by Thanksgiving. We have lived in several homes over the years and used several different contractors and have NEVER finished a renovation a month ahead of schedule!!!! We just finished the end of project walk through today with our project manager Kevin Joyner and we are honestly a bit sad that we won't see Kevin and his team around here on a daily basis. Kevin went above and beyond the call of duty. He is EXTREMELY thorough and a complete perfectionist. He and his team were so communicative. He returned our calls/texts any time of day, night and on the weekends. We always knew what to expect the following day; who would be on site and when they would arrive and depart. I can honestly say in this months long process there was not a wasted day or lag time. Kevin is meticulously and expects the same out of his crews. From the painters, to the plumbers and finish carpenter each Lane employee was a delight to work with. If we ever move or renovate down the road we will use Lane Homes for all our remodeling needs. If every company was as honest, thorough and easy to work with as Lane there would be a lot less frustration in the world! Thank you Lane Homes and Kevin Joyner, we are so thankful and proud of the beautiful work you all did. You guys truly are the best!!!!! And thanks for the caulking the kitchen sink Kevin....over and beyond

The designer listened to our vision and came up with a beautiful plan that stayed in our budget. She even came with me to pick out appliances, countertops and light fixtures. I couldn't have done it myself without hiring an interior designer. Every workman in our home was courteous and professional! I always felt comfortable with the people in the house. The crews cleaned up every day and made the process as painless as possible, as we stayed in the house during the renovation. The workmanship and attention to detail was top-notch. I highly recommend Lane Homes! This was the 2nd project we have had them do and we will definitely use them for any future renovation needs!

***Update 3-28-2023****…read more They have fixed the gaps by adding a board to the bottom of the fence where there were gaps. ****update1**Fence Me In has contacted me again and offered to put boards across the bottom of the fence to close the larger gaps free of charge. While I would have preferred to have the fence looking nice and clean and done properly the first time, at least they have responded with a solution that doesn't involve me paying money to fix their error. ____ Fence Me In installed a privacy fence at my house a year ago. Long story short: They did not put the fence all the way to the ground: in places it appears they piled dirt around the bottom of the fence to hide how much of a gap there was. That dirt has settled over the year, leaving significant gaps at the bottom, some as much as 6". Basically my dog has figured this out and is squeezing under the fence-- and she is a 65lb lab mix. I reached out to Fence Me In but it took awhile to catch up with them. In the interim, I put some wire barriers around the bottom of the fence to keep my lab mix from squeezing under it . It looks pretty tacky and has been pretty pricey to do. I am disappointed in the quality of work, the lack of responsiveness, and the danger to my dog. She has gotten loose several times while I dealt with this. Finally spoke to the company. He basically told me that a dog eared wood privacy fence is supposed to have 6" gaps if the property grade changes from front to back or side to side. He then offered to charge me to put boards along the bottom of the fence. I've had fences installed in mountainous areas where the yard drop off was much more dramatic than this. Those companies did the work to make sure the fence went close to the ground. I advised that they should have asked me what I wanted instead of piling dirt up to hide the gaps. He said well, we would have had to cut each board and charge you for that to make it ground level on the bottom. I feel that they should have given me this option. I have a cousin in the fence business in another state and have installed fences in four houses. Never had a problem like this.

I'm delighted to be the first one to offer a review on this site. Our needs were simple. We wanted to have a maintenance free composite deck to replace our outdated wooden deck. Practically all the deck builders that we got quotes from were over $25K - $35K. These were WAY outside our budget. All Squared Up explained it like this. So many businesses after Covid, were charging more due to supply. Sadly for consumers many businesses never reduced their prices when supply disruptions were no longer an issue. There is also so much competition with composite material, prices are not high. Before you select a deck builder, based on the number of reviews on Yelp/Google, request a quote from All Squared Up. We highly recommend! Honest communication, commitment, with an equal dose of skilled perfection and honest pricing is what you can be assured to receive. p.s. After completing the deck, they re-did our side porch, making it composite too and reducing the step size. allowing the steps to be more shallow.

In this field the more you do in a day or week or a month the bigger the profit, so knock them out as fast as you can gain the profit and worry about cut corners when they arise. Instead of do it right the first time and make sure the homeowner is 100 percent happy the first go around and hope if at all call backs are minimal. Most big companies already have the name so now it's the money that keeps them going and the workers still receive the same pay no matter how poor their quality of work and the owners have enough revenue and resources to brush off small inconveniences. The small guys like me however without the big name or big company have to take pride in what we do because we know the quality provides the name and the revenue will follow in due time. A good name and quality go a good distance but a bad name and poor work travel much further. When you take pride in what you do and love every aspect of the project it's a passion not just a job. It's a living you love and not just an income.
