Mark did an installation of some new kitchen lighting. This required him to remove an old fluorescent ceiling light. He had to install the wiring for the new light fixture, then patch and paint the ceiling. Wow !! You can't even tell the other light fixture was ever there. The job is pristine!! He is so particular about his measurements. You can tell he is a measure twice, cut once kind of professional. Mark was punctual, very polite, thorough. Mark showed up on time for the estimate, he took measurements, and said he would get back to me. He did, although his email went to my spam folder and I didn't see it for a couple of days. So after coming by (and I had emailed him the scope of the work I needed done), he sends me an email stating that the work is too much for him, and too much of it requires going up on a ladder, which he said he didn't want to do. Not sure I've ever heard of a handyman that avoids ladders before, but there it is. He did give me a lead to another handyman, so I'll follow up with him. read more

We've hired Mark three different times and he's absolutely great. The first visit, he did a variety of odd jobs, including baby proofing, that was beyond my DIY skills. I was especially amazed that he went through his screw collection in his car and found two that perfectly matched the anchor holes I needed for my TV! He also replaced the strike plate on our front door to make our smart lock close smoothly. The strike plate he also happened to have in his car. At his second and third visit he took down and put back up plantation shutters when we replaced our windows. The window installer wouldn't touch the shutters, since they so often break upon removal. At $750 a pop for new shutters, Mark saved us thousands of dollars by meticulously prying them off the wall and putting them back up! I have been hiring Mark for over a year now and he has never disappointed us with his work. His attention to detail in getting the job done is impeccable.
