Our experience started out positively. The contractor, Nick, of Handy Guys, was charming and…read morepersonable at the beginning, which is why we hired him for our home renovation project. Unfortunately, the situation changed once the work was underway. He had a number of reasons for not returning calls or showing up to complete the work, including various medical issues and other personal commitments. Communication eventually stopped completely, with messages and calls going unanswered while the renovation remained unfinished. He also represented that a larger crew worked for him representing various trades, but in our experience the work was primarily done by him, with occasionally one younger assistant present. We were also left waiting for the return of our house keys after they were promised back, which forced us to change the door lock for security. The quality of workmanship was also poor. Some appliances were not hung level, several laminate boards were not glued down, some deck boards were not fully secured, tile grout was applied poorly, and only one coat of paint was applied, allowing the old paint color to show through. The attached pictures represent the state in which Nick left the project in November. This was a very stressful and disappointing experience. Homeowners should be extremely cautious, insist on a detailed written contract, and clearly define expectations for communication, completion standards, and return of property before hiring this contractor.

They claimed they couldn't install it because I was "missing a wire," then went to Home Depot and bought a cheap basic fan instead -- which I paid for. The install included venting outside the house and cost way more than it should have, but I let it go because I just wanted proper air circulation. Fast forward to August 2025 -- the fan completely stopped working. It no longer pulls air at all. I contacted them to ask about warranty on their installation. It is now January 2026 and they have never responded. Expensive install. Low-quality results. Zero accountability. Once they get paid, don't expect them to stand behind their work.
