After requesting a quote online, Paul followed up quickly via text and we scheduled a consult for the very next morning. Paul and his son were an absolute pleasure to work with. They clearly understood our situation--we just needed to get the house in good shape to sell--and never once tried to upsell us. In an age where so many companies subcontract everything out, it was incredibly refreshing to work directly with a father-and-son team who clearly take pride in their work. We even spent some time swapping stories about great rock 'n' roll shows we've seen. On their way out, I asked if we could quickly borrow their measuring tape to check the size of a missing piece of siding, since we planned to try fixing it ourselves. Without hesitation, they offered to take care of it when they came back to install the windows. That generosity alone meant so much and took one more thing off our very full to-do list. A few weeks later, the windows arrived and were installed without issue--and they absolutely added value to the house. But the story doesn't end there. Less than a week before closing, we discovered another piece of siding that needed repair. I texted Paul to see if they might be able to fix it or recommend someone, fully expecting to pay. Instead, Paul personally stopped by the very next day and took care of it himself. There is truly no one better to work with than Paul and his team. They are kind, honest, hardworking people who do excellent work and genuinely care about their customers. We are beyond grateful and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Weird but fine, if the text etiquette is on point. His was a mess. He asks me to take pictures inside and out, of the windows. Ok sure, but I'm one town over and you could just pop by. He asks what I want, I say picture windows. He sends me a picture of double hang and says he recommends them. Don't need them. Then he just TEXTS me a price range. Red flag. Where's your quote with the type of door being used? Also, the number is high. I ask for the SKU to look it up on my own. He sends me a generic link to an affiliate landing page for DOUBLE HUNG DOORS. Ok, so here's where you have to use your best judgement. These guys have great ratings on multiple pages, so they obviously do excellent installs. But that doesn't mean they aren't ripping people off, because you can get similar work done for MUCH cheaper. That's where I got him, bc he wasn't willing to disclose where his range was coming from and then immediately tried to pass me off to Renweal by Anderson, which is widely known as THE biggest price-hike in the game. The safe bet with them is whatever they quote you initially is about double what it should actually cost. So it makes sense the owner thought it's a reasonable peer in the industry. Then he weirdly started text-harassing me when I passed on his offer. Piss off.

The original estimate was done from the ground, however when the technician was able to get the unit out of the frame, (This is an old style window), we both saw that additional work had to be done. During the first winter, we couldn't keep the house warm enough. Cold air was seeping into every room. Our heating cost was very high. So we decided to replace the windows before the next winter. A friend recommended AAA Royal Window. I called and spoke to John Boyd. He came to our home, made an evaluation and recommended that all windows be replaced and insulated. I was concerned about losing the wood tone windows to white vinyl clad windows, but John recommended double pane, tilt-in windows with wood tone application. They looked just like the real wood tone windows that we were replacing. He said they could do the entire job in one day. It sounded impossible, but we agreed and signed the contract. The AAA Royal crew arrived on the scheduled day at 7:00 a.m. They removed all of the old windows and storm windows, insulated the frames and installed the new windows. They removed all of the old windows and packaging and cleaned up both inside and outside. At the end of the day, you wouldn't even know that they had been here. I was so impressed. But it got better. During the next winter, and every winter since, our heating costs have dropped significantly. Every room stays warm. No more cold air creeping in. I have been so pleased. This year, five years after the windows were installed, my son broke the hardware on one of the tilt in windows. I called John Boyd and he offered to mail me the replacement parts and walk me through the simple repair. I was concerned that I would mess it up, so John came to our home in Medford and did the five minute repair job himself. It doesn't get much better than that.
