I've rented trucks from UHaul, and thought I'd seen the worst of it (e.g., rolling up a truck door…read moreand being presented with blood-colored splatter on the floor and walls that looked eerily like a scene from a snuff film), but the management at this location said, "Hold my beer." In addition to handwriting a $300 late fee on my contract, they forgot to provide the moving pads. Because I'd picked up the truck at the end of the day. I couldn't address the issue until the next day. I called FOUR times and was immediately put on hold for almost an hour trying to get the pads. Of course, this meant that the movers I'd hired to move my stuff refused to move several items because they didn't have pads, so it took a few hours longer than I'd anticipated, and I was charged for an extra day--for both the rental AND the pads I never received! To add insult to injury, I'm going to have to file a charge dispute with my bank just to get a refund for the pads because no one at the location or from customer service will help me. If you're planning to rent from UHaul, avoid this location!

I will start out by saying in my years of experience with UHaul in general, which has only been…read moremaybe a dozen and a half times in twenty five or so years, I don't think I've EVER, EVER, had a smooth customer experience - EXEPT for ONE time when they had a location on Broadway Avenue in Bedford, which is gone now, and that was only because I happened to deal with the actual store manager that day. He was great and very helpful, as was the guy working with him that day. This was probably ten years ago at least though. Maybe more. I had a hitch put on my Outback and it was great. EVERY other time was simply to have a propane tank filled up, and I'm NOT kidding, it was never smooth. 100% of the time, and I'll say it again, ONE HUNDRED PERCENT of the time, there are employees working who don't care or are simply overwhelmed with tasks. I have waited literally forty minutes just IN LINE to tell someone I'd like a tank filled because they have ten people in line waiting to be taken care of and the one or "maybe" two employees on duty, work with ZERO sense of urgency. So, I've personally come to the conclusion that they are most likely understaffed and overworked which leads to apathy, and I know in a lot of cases that's just it. Most of the people working there are good people but are working their butts off. Anyhow, I called this location today with just a question, a simple question that would have taken literally fifteen seconds to answer, but when I called a woman answered and asked if I could hold - and I said "Yes", and then I was waiting for fifteen minutes with the same, recorded message on loop every twenty seconds. I just hung up. UHaul is famous for their horrible customer service, in my opinion. How about, you know, STAFF ENOUGH PEOPLE to have a functioning business? I know, novel idea, but hell, it could help your bottom line.

The place is clean and appears well-run on site. BUT. You get a storage space and (if you are…read morenaive and unsuspecting like me) they raise the cost to 125% of what you were paying. I.e. I was paying $199/month and 5 months into my deal with them...They raised it to $247/month. After taxes and mandatory insurance, $280/month. Up from $228 total. When I called to ask about it, they informed me this happens every 6 months. Standard. That is RIDICULOUS and predatory, in my opinion. I'm getting out. And do not recommend.

Do NOT recommend use of this place…read more We reserved a 7x10 unit online, but when we showed up, the unit the manager showed us was only 7x7.5. When we initially said, "this looks smaller than what we ordered", she tried to gaslight us saying, "no, it's 7x10". However, it was only when we showed her that the measurements on the unit's label that said 7x7.5, she started saying that it was our fault for not checking the unit in-person before reserving. And somehow it was our fault for not knowing their website was broken. Our primary account holder (the person who made the reservation), attempted to negotiate with the manager, citing his online reservation. Only to be led to a 10x10 unit with an additional charge. This bait and switch was not appreciated along with the condescending and patronizing tone of the worker. The three other people who were helping with the move-in were yelled out of the front area because they were not the primary account holder and "I don't want to deal with them" (we were standing quietly). While this was happening, another customer was in the same room. He was not asked to leave at any point. Overall, there was a lot of shady behavior and red flags. Our unit was silently downgraded with no notice to us or pay decrease, we were gaslit into thinking the unit was the size we wanted, our primary account holder was arbitrarily isolated when discussing options for getting the size we needed, customers were strongly pushed into writing good reviews, and the experience was overall much worse than when I used iStorage the previous year. We would not suggest trusting this location with your business or storage items.

I would not recommend this facility to anyone who has security concerns. I would recommend that if…read moreyou do rent a storage facility at this location, never to go alone, especially as a single woman. In mid March 2026, I went to the U-Haul storage in North Randall Ohio to rent an unit. At that time, I was given a card to swipe for access to the building and where I left, use the card again to let security system know that I had left the building. When I went to use the card for the first time, it didn't work and I went to the office for replacement. They said they were temporarily out of cards, but the next time I came in to stop and get a new card. A week later, when we moved my daughter's belongings in, I was informed that cards will no longer used because they're doing a security upgrade. The automatic door would be open to anyone and everyone who either had a legitimate reason to be there or any man off the street. This is a huge building. It used to be a circuit city. It's two levels of hallways and dark corners. I asked the office about the open door policy and was told that there were security cameras. I said that's great, but is someone watching the security camera 24/7? They said no and I said that would be great so if anything happens, you'll find my body the next time somebody reviews the cameras. I twice called manager of the building to clarify this, he never returned my call. I called the national U-Haul office in early April, a regional manager never my call. I again called at the end of May to the national office and through the diligence of the customer service representative, she got through to a regional manager who I talked to about the unlocked doors. She stated that the doors would be unlocked because it was inconvenient for people to have to put in a code or use a card to unlock the door. She said the alternative was to move to another U-Haul location, which has the same policy. I asked her if U-Haul was going to pay the $200 to hire movers and of course she said no. .
