No answer and the mailbox is full. Impossible to communicate with. - December 16, 25. My in-person experience was relatively good - good enough that I was posting about it to family and friends with high recommendation. But the day after the move I went to set up my TV and discovered that the screen was severely cracked, having been (it seems) pinched in the top two corners. The crack spread across the entire top half of the screen. The TV works, but is unusable. I had to buy a new one, which cost me almost $200. I submitted the damage complaint twice and was not even contacted. For a company that calls and emails every day for a week trying to GET my business in the first place, that is particularly gross. As it stands now, I can't imagine ever using or recommending College HUNKS again purely because of the lack of response to my complaints, let alone lack of resolution. If you don't have anything fragile, sure, go ahead. But maybe move the fragile things yourself (my TV was the only fragile thing I did not move myself, and I sorely regret it). I will add that it was a 3.5 hour job that involved moving down from a second floor in a house and then up to a third floor in another house, and the TV was the only thing damaged. It was not packed in a box and the movers assured me they could use their TV bag and it would be fine. It was not fine.

We were working with a short time frame between closing & when we needed to move in, but Jason was able to accommodate us. After we pulled up the carpet we found that there was plywood screwed, glued and stapled to the floor. We pried it up, chiseled away the glue and pulled (what seemed like) thousands of staples. In the end, you would have never known the condition of the floors before River Hardwood finished them. He worked fast, efficiently and made several repairs weave seamlessly in. Jason was also highly responsive to calls & texts and communicated his progress with us everyday. I would highly recommend River Hardwood.

This location is easy to access with a parking lot right out front. I recommend bringing your project in on a flash drive in a number of formats in case you need to make changes. You can also upload your file in advance if it's really large. If you're working on behalf of an organization, be sure to bring your tax exempt paperwork or ask if they have it on file already.
