His explanation for holding funds for an extra month - Chestnut Flooring policy different than the manufacturers. Recommendation; Do not prepay Chestnut Flooring prior to inspection of flooring delivery.

Yes, you are not mistaken, almost 1 year ago. At very beginning everything looked great. They sent technician to take measurements. He arrived on time with expensive equipment and unfortunately it was the last positive experience. There is list of what happened: 1. With all the expensive equipment measurements were taken wrong. Counter didn't fit the space, as a result when we didn't see installers cut drywall with all the vapor barrier (it is outside wall) and slide counter inside... I asked why they did it, answer was great - it didn't fit... I asked who will be taking care of damaged wall - answer they don't care and i am too picky... 2. There is was chip on the connection in between 2 slabs of the counter. I called the office, they sent somebody (guy name is Albert) for investigation. The Albert was amazing as well. his 1st answer was just excellent. He told me "Nothing is perfect in this life"... When you spent a lot of money for the defective counter it is exact type of answer you want to get... After almost 2 hours of arguing he promised to come to fix the issue. Unfortunately this promise was just a way to get out. As i mentioned at very beginning of my review counter was installed end of April of 2019 and today is Apr-6, 2020. As of today nobody came to fix the issue. I was calling this company multiple times and they always were promising to come in a month. As of now it is almost 12 months since the first promise... I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE. IF YOU WANT GOOD QUALITY PRODUCT IT IS NOT THE RIGHT PLACE TO GO! Long story short, the truck was a day late costing me $$ for workers that were waiting for materials and delaying the project. I called and spoke to Amanda who claims she is the manager and I asked how she would make this right since it cost me a bundle because of their error. She said she would phone me back. She didn't. I called again and left her a message. No call back. Called again, and she happened to pick up the phone ... she said she forgot about my situation (genious customer service right there), and she wasn't really willing to do much anyway. The customer service here is terrible. I was looking for a bit of ownership to the problem and proactiveness to make things right. I get it, things happen. But when you get rude people who "forget" about your situation it's really an example of a company that could care less about their customers. She finally credited me a small amount, but it wasn't close to the cost of the delay. After everything, the low level of customer service made me more furious than the delayed truck. Bottom line: Save time and money and call someone else.
