This restaurant keeps going further down hill. I ordered takeout here about 4 months ago and I said never again. I felt they needed yet another chance so I ordered again. both of our combination platters were almost inedible, portions small except the rice and that was severely over cooked. Chicken pieces were dry, overcooked and cold. Even the prepackaged fortune cookie was bad. I know they didn't make them but they ordered this cheap garbage and I like fortune cookies! . The restaurant has changed hands many times since it was Bo Bo Yee's and it has never been this bad or expensive. I miss Bo Bo Yee's as I used to go there a couple of times a month, this restaurant maybe 2x's/year but I can guarantee you i'll never go again. Don't waste your money here, you'll wish you hadn't. I usually go for sesame chicken and I know what to expect. But there were a lot of good reviews about the almond chicken so I decided to go with that. Maybe it's just me, but I do not find it all that interesting. Not just from here, just in general. Even with the gravy it came with, I found it to be kind of flavorless. We literally wasted 70$ we got sesame chicken, sweet and sour chicken and shrimp chop suey. We ordered dinner rolls, egg rolls, plum sauce, fried dumplings and egg drop soup. Most all the food tasted like the restaurant smelled....old, musty, and like a cleaning product. The rice was old, dry, and smelled like moth balls, and the soup tasted like gasoline!!!! I kid u not! This place is legit. For a little over $10 you can get soup, an egg roll made with cabbage, sprouts, and chicken, and fried rice with your choice of an entree. if I can give negative stars I would by far the worst chinese food I've ever had and we've been coming here for years!!! wanton was awful our combos (sesame chicken fried rice) were TERRIBLE! both meals were soggy and our rice were literally mush!!! plain and flavorless and the sesame chicken was super sweet and didn't taste good at all!!! we will never come back here again!! customer service was terrible aswell! we even tried to have them remake it before we left because we checked it and complained about it but they refused and said there was nothing they could do not even a refund!!! Recently moved to the area and wanted to try the local Chinese / Thai takeout place. Ordered 6 dishes for my family and we all thought the food was terrible. The Drunken Noodle and Pad Cew were basically the same dish; same noodles with the same overly sweet sauce. Almost no veggies or meat in either one. Same for the Beef Lo Mein. The Pepper Steak had a super thin gravy and was practically vegetarian. The General Tso chicken had almost no breading at all and therefore no crispness. The only dish I would rate as 'okay' was the pork fried rice. We will never order from here again. There's better places in the area. read more

Do not waste your money!! Just ordered here today.. I called ahead of time and asked if curry chicken was cream / coconut based and lady on phone told me yes.. So I went ahead and got the the chicken curry but substituted for veggies and not only did veggies taste like absolutely nothing , I would say like paper but paper probably has more taste then the veggies..the supposed cream coconut based curry was a brown super liquid (clearly not coconut cream based) and tasted like nothing except for spice which to me, was not even a curry flavor...could not take more then a few bites, and usually I'll just suck it up, eat it anyways and never go back..but in this case I thought , hey instead of doing that I'll call and see if they can make it right (since we recently moved near by and would probably be frequent buyers) When I called back, rude supervisor lady told me I could not exchange and could not get my money back, I nicely said I have had vegetable curry thousands of times and never had that sauce with it and I thought we could straighten this out so I don't go and leave a bad review and she told me no anyways she would not exchange my meal or give me my money back...soooo here I am warning you to save your money, and time and go elsewhere... My wife, a friend and I were there for lunch Jan 17, 2019 because the new sign above the door had Thai on it. The drunken Thai noodles weren't savoury it was sweet!!! Be sure to check your pickup order before you leave. We specifically asked for white rice with 3 almond chicken orders. She even read my order back to me. Get home to all fried rice. My husband calls, she was rude even though it was her mistake. Wants him to just come and pick up white rice while our food gets cold. Finally she agrees to make all fresh food. Although, what they really did was just refry the same chicken so it was hot. Now it's just double fried garbage! They also gave us 1/2 the amount of white rice than usual. 2 trips to the restaurant to just toss this crap in the trash. I got to carry out. Have never been here before. The spring rolls were really tasty and the staff was very pleasant. However, I was very disappointed with the Vegetarian Drunken Noodles. First of all, the noodles were not flat rice noodles. They were regular wheat noodles. I did not see or taste any Thai basil leaves. The sauce tasted too sweet. I could not detect any garlic. It looked llike it had little pieces of ground chicken That would be fine, except I am a vegetarian and do not eat chicken. I have made this dish at home, and have had some delicious versions at other restaurants. Wow, what a pleasant surprise! This unassuming Chinese restaurant offers great food and value. The menu contains the usual Mandarin choices and Thai food (haven't tried the Thai selections yet). Most of the combination plates are well under $8 which includes hot tea, hot soup, egg roll and large dinner roll. The portions are huge. The quality and taste for most dishes is great. My favorite dishes are the Lo Mein chicken or shrimp, Steak Kow or Harr Kow and the cashew chicken. Even the hot tea is a step above the usual tea served in most Chinese restaurants. All isn't great here, sometimes the soup is lukewarm, the gravy for the egg foo young dishes is tasteless and the side fried rice is remarkably plain. The decor is dark and dingy, kinda looks lost in the 80's. Some of the booths have loose and wobbly backrests. The service is efficient without drama. Not a place for a romantic date though old married couples might like the place. Come here if your hungry and seeking bang for the buck. 3 stars given for vastly exceeding my expectations and providing good value compared to other restaurants in area. read more

So the decor of this place is dated, and pretty much falling apart. That however seems to be a theme with many chinese restaurants. This isn't a fancy place by far but if you're hungry and looking for a large portion of delicious food for a damn good price then this is your place! Compared to the chinese place in Algonac Hang's food is fantastic and I will definitely be returning! It tastes freshly made with crunchy vegetables and crisp breading. The waitresses were also very nice and our food was out extremely fast! So even if the place needs some TLC the food was fabulous and affordable. read more
