Doctor suggested shots and possible surgery in future. On follow up visit was treated rudely when I questioned the shots. Asked my insurance for another Podiatrist, went to see him today. The Orthotics are covered by the insurance. Springwood Podiatry and this Dr are trying to charge their patients cash for a covered service. ( $400+ dollars was quoted to me). Avoid this Doctor and Podiatry group.

I couldn't understand why since my sister in law had bunion surgeru 2 mos before and had immense pain. I found out later when I went in for post op xrays and saw she had cut the knuckle of my second toe out and pinned the two pieces of bone together. I asked why she did that and that she should of told me she was going to take a knuckle out. She said so the bunion wouldn't grow back. I could no longer jog, bend forward, get on my horse with that foot, so many things. I have excruciating nerve damage as she also cut my nerves which explains why I had no pain after surgery, and she cut my tendons so I couldn't bend my toes which also might make the bunion come back. This is all rediculous. I am permanently crippled on this foot, because of things she did that did not need to be done at all. I do not recommend this doctor .I only gave her one star because I could not give her a zero.

He said my Insurance didn't cover that. I am a senior in my late 70's and I don't have any help in my home. He said it the surgery will be VERY PAINFUL and a walker wouldn't help much by myself to get to the bathroom at night. My i told my MD about his attitude and he wanted me to have surgery only! My big toe does hurt me now but it didn't when I saw him a year ago. I have Scan insurance now and I will check with them on who they cover. I am going to live with pain in my toe( which feels like it is under my toenail. I need to find another Doctor soon!
