Whereas they usually go out for the full day, they were going to the Blue Cave and Butterfly Valley from 2-5pm when I was there. Chill vibe and music and good COVID protocols. I recommend booking tickets directly with them in front of the boat rather than through an agent.

The evening before, we met a couple in a restaurant who put us onto Captain Tommy and his boat Deniz Bey. We had noticed that all the boats were crowded and were looking for a smaller craft with fewer people. The next day we walked down the beach to the boat to see if we could book directly. No problem, the guy we spoke to was very helpful and we booked for the next day. As requested we were there at 10 am. A few years back the same thing happened when booking another boat and we didn't leave until 11.30. Captain Tommy is different. At 10.10 a big guy, in whites, came strolling down the beach in a very theatrical manner. Boarded his boat and at 10.20 we were off. The fun started from there. A very professional, but friendly, crew. 20 passengers, therefore plenty of room on board. Loads of stops on the way for swimming with no rush. Great BBQ food with a choice of trout or chicken and loads of various salads. Drinks were available, at reasonable prices. Snorkels, masks, swimming rings etc all available at NO extra charge. A little more expensive than the other guys but worth every lira. I would advise anyone to check Captain Tommy out when visiting Olu Deniz. Beautiful pool and environment.  We stayed in the attic suite which has a hot tub for 2.  The room and bathroom was spacious. Our stay included free breakfast where we were able to order menemen and omelettes.  The breakfast was buffet style and include heaping amounts of veggies, fruit, and bread.  I loved the fresh tomatoes and cucumber.  The location of the hotel is perfect. We are walkable distance to the blue lagoon and many restaurants/bars.  We were able to drive to a variety of other locations such as saklikent gorge, tlos, fethiya, yaka park and gizlikent waterfall. The staff was absolutely wonderful and kind.  They were very friendly and made us feel like we were home. The only downfall was our internet was horrible in our room. They attempted to fix it by adding a router in our room but it wasnt the best. I think the internet throughout turkey just isnt good in general.  The parking is free at the hotel but the lot is small, requiring the office staff to keep our car keys to move cars to get other cars out.

The valley is beautiful. The sea basin is quite interesting and great for snorkeling. Yet if you're…read moreallergic to bees you may encounter a problem as hundreds of them drop dead in the sea due to pollens on the sea surface. The facilities are below basic. Toilets are very dirty. Breakfast and dinner are bland. They charge 2tl for small water and 12tl for beer. They don't allow you to bring anything from outside. During the day time tens of boats come to the bay and for a while the beach becomes infested by people. If those people want to visit the waterfall, they are charged 6tl. So the management makes quite a lot money but they are not keeping the place clean. The place is full of litter. They are not collected daily. Much of the trash lies around. People who stay here do not have to pay to visit the waterfall. Yet it's nothing impressive. I wish the place had better management and I wish they didn't allow this many boats in Oludeniz. This area should be preserved and protected. In terms of ambiance, there is no dynamic to it. The people who stay here hang out only within their circle of friends, mainly because there isn't a common area for people to mingle and secondly most people who stay here seem to utilize this place to get drugged out therefore they hang out in their tents with their friends and do drugs. If you think you'll peacefully sleep into the beauty of the night listening to the crickets, sorry you are wrong; instead, you're going to have try sleeping with electronic music which ruins the beauty and real purpose of this whole thing. We've decided this dirty, disorderly, morbid, druggy facility and not for us. We are keeping it short and leaving tomorrow.
