My family has been using Hank's for decades and a majority of the time our orders are done online from Out of State and sent to family right in Saginaw. We choose Hank's because it's local and a staple to everyone in our township. This last time- we ordered several floral arrangements for a funeral and couldn't have been happier with how they turned out. They went above and beyond to deliver late on a Saturday afternoon and to discuss the process over the phone when we called. The flowers were fresh and the presentation was beautiful. The arrangements are competitively priced but for a small shop they provide the type of customer service you won't find at a larger retailer. Absolutely horrific customer service and awful experience with this local shop that my family used to use frequently when I grew up. I live out of town but wanted to use a local shop. On 12/27 I placed an order for my family member's milestone birthday via their website, which accepted my order and my money, indicating they could deliver flowers on 12/28. I also received an email confirmation indicating the date the flowers would be delivered as promised on 12/28 so I thought all was well. The day came and went and flowers were not delivered, so I called and left a message on their voicemail on 12/29 to look into what happened. On 12/30, a woman called me back and indicated in a very negative tone right from the beginning before I could even say anything and shared that she "already sent me an email refunding me and that they were closed for the holidays." (aka no apology, ask for reorder/how they could make it better, etc... and how dare I place an order online while they are closed and try to give them my business?! Maybe turn off your website orders and don't allow a transaction to go through if you are closed?) She continued to make excuses that they don't even deliver to the address I was sending flowers to (ok, maybe say that when I put order that you don't deliver there and don't allow it to go through and take my money?) She did not even ask/listen to what happened from my perspective and rudely talked over me in a very defensive manner so I hung up. The whole situation could have been handled in a completely different way -- was incredibly disappointing and very unprofessional. read more

Just know, the arrangement you chose online, is not going to be the arrangement you get delivered! Hanks doesn't even call you to let you know they don't have the flowers for the arrangement you chose, they just decide it's okay to do whatever they want to do, and not the paying customers choice. I couldn't believe the arrangement that showed up to my grandmothers door yesterday! It was absolutely nothing like what I chose online, and looked half assed, sloppy, & thrown together all over the place, didn't even look like they even tried to make a pretty arrangement. It's very disappointing especially when flowers cost a lot of money so you expect to get what you paid for, but instead end up getting something that looks totally different & way below quality. Addition 8/11/23 1:03pm PST-- I find it funny they reply very quickly to their Yelp reviews but not when the person actually contacts via the email THEY provided twice now & yet no response at all from the business via email.
