I was extremely disappointed with my floral order and the customer service from the manager at Begick's. I recently ordered a funeral arrangement for a family member's service. Being out of town I needed to arrange this over the phone. The first person I talked to was very helpful, that is why I gave 2 stars instead of 1. However, she was not going to be working the following day so she referred me to her manager to finalize the order. I sent the manager two pictures of arrangements I was interested in to see if they could do them. She told me they couldn't do one of them because they couldn't get the flowers. But she said the other one was no problem and they could definitely do it. So I ordered it. I also told her I was willing to pay more if necessary to get the size and design as shown. It was a wintery arrangement with no exotic parts. I placed the order six days in advance. The day before it was to be delivered I called to be sure everything was OK. The manager said they were working on it but they hadn't finished it yet, and it would be finished in the morning and delivered in plenty of time. She didn't say anything about having trouble getting the components or that there were any issues. The next morning I received a text photo of the finished arrangement however it was not recognizable as what I ordered except that it did contain white roses. It looked like it was put together in a rush and not by a professional florist. I was very distressed about what they made so I called them right away. At that point there was nothing that could be done to fix it as it was already on the way to the funeral home and it would barely make it on time as it was. The manager offered nothing but excuses, she said "that is just how things are these days, if you order food at a restaurant you don't get what you order either". That was just a terrible response. Instead of making excuses, they could have contacted me as soon as they knew that they couldn't do the arrangement as promised so I could have ordered something else. I followed up with her the next day asking for a credit or some type of accommodation due the arrangement being so much smaller than what I ordered and it not looking like what was promised. I never heard back from her. I would not recommend this florist if you expect them to deliver what you order. The manager seems to think your request is just a suggestion and offers nothing but excuses when things go wrong. read more

It's so funny reading over the reviews about the people who work at Begick's and their less than congenial demeanor ! It's seemingly a family owned business and many times with them you have Grumpsters that you kinda have to take on and can't get rid of ! I was in the store several weeks back for the first time and could tell they were probably a little bit demanding from the tone in instructional signs throughout the store with emergency warnings about taking carts down certain interior aisles. I could understand why it's not advisable as the aisles are about foot wide packed and hanging with all their tempting goodies . We did find someone to help us and although a warm body did not seem too well versed in the art of gardendry. But that was o.k. because I already knew what he wasn't able to talk about. I went there to get some plants there were several on clearance the one I wanted had 2 missing I asked if it was discounted more the lady was rude it's already discounted And continued to be rude about the garden soil won't go back ! I just want to begin by saying that the staff is wonderful. Everyone is kind and welcoming and I have been going here for years. However, my daughter and I went to pick out our yearly flocked Christmas trees and, when looking around, I asked for help getting something down from the ceiling. We seeked help from an older man who was grumpy and seemed annoyed to help us costumers. While asking for help on one last ceiling item, I pointed to the only blue ornament on the ceiling. The grumpy old man annoyingly replied, "I do not know what you are talking about when you point, (laughing in a rude manner)." Additionally, he turned to the costumers to laugh about me, to which they joined in. I thought it was obvious the ornament I wanted (seeing it was the only blue one in a vast sea of pink and white) and how else am I supposed to specify for something on the ceiling. It just made me feel embarrassed and upset because I have never been rude to the service and have spent lots of money on their business. Stay far away. My in-laws have used Begick's for close to two decades. They were decent in the beginning, but their services have continued to slide downhill over time. They ordered a pergola through Begick's. They were given an estimate when it was supposed to arrive. Six months later they were still waiting with no one contacting them. After being blown off several times, they were finally informed it arrived a few months ago and was sitting around. Clearly they have no sense of urgency to complete work they were already paid for. It was finally installed almost a year later than the initial estimate. If this was an isolated incident it might be forgivable, but I've watched as they Begick's continually promises amazing things and then delivers subpar products be they trees, plants, flowers, or pretty much everything. They offer premium prices for subpar products. read more

This is one of the most beautiful stores for Christmas decorations. The reason I gave it three stars is because of the curmudgeon roaming the store who ruins the experience. Not sure if this is an employee, or an owner, but I've had several experiences over the last three years with this person scolding me because I was taking an ornament off of a tree the "wrong way," or in one instance embarrassing a customer who was asking for a price on a decoration that he assumed they could not afford. Don't know who this guy is but they need to get him off the floor and make him retire! read more

They have a good choice of plants, but the customer service is Awful! My mom is disabled and we went there several times in the summer, bought hundreds of dollars worth of plants and no one offered to help us bring anything to the vehicle or ask if we needed help picking out plants.. most recently I ordered flowers to be delivered to someone and they were not home, so they left a note on the door, ruining the surprise. When I emailed Begicks, they replied with a very condescending email stating why they don't leave flowers at the door. I get how it works, but this is 2021, they should have a time someone should be able to pick for deliveries and/or tracking. There is NOTHING on their website stating that they will not leave flowers at someone's door. Had I known that, I would have picked a different day for when I absolutely knew someone would be home. If you want nice plants, they are good for that, if you want a good experience, go somewhere else. read more
