My wife called a local out fit and left message I called Laneys and was on the phone for quite a while with them ruling out that the line to drain field could be frozen then he helped me by pass the electricity to the switch and the pumped but only shut off by pulling the plug, so I could use 30 gallons and repeat. Next morning Laneys had a guy out before the other plumber even called back. He pointed out the cover over pump also badly needed to be replaced fixed my switch in a couple days replaced and sealed cover. I wanted to write this because I read the other review and I thanked again the Laney people at the home show.

(This happened last summer) I have a lake home that needed a new well pump. So I made a call to…read moreLaney's so they could come out and install it. I had already bought my own but when the guy got there he said that it was too small. He told me he could install it but he would have to run to the hardware store to get the pump but was nice enough to tell me that I could buy it myself for half as much as Laney's charges. Having SOME knowledge of plumbing I decided I would go buy the pump, all the fittings, and do it myself. Because it was all copper before I decided to do copper again. I cut the pipe to proper lengths and put everything together. When I put the copper together I used this solder-less glue I found at the hardware store. After I primed the pump I turned it on and it pushed out the water that was used to prime and then no more water. Which meant it was a problem between the well and the pump. I removed everything that I had installed from the pump to the well. Then I called Laney's thinking they could solder the copper fittings and that would be that. The guy came out and pointed out that an end cap wasn't shut(dumb me) so I told him to fix it up and thought that would be that(maybe an hour of work) As he worked I was painting my cabin. He came to me once telling me he needed to go to the hardware store. I lost all track of time while I was painting and finally he comes back to show me what he's done. Turns out he removed all the copper(even the line to the house which was FINE) and replaced it with poly. When he explained it to me he said he went to poly because it was cheaper. When I received the bill I realized a few things 1. while poly is cheaper than copper it isn't when you've already purchased and cut a ten foot stick you purchased at the hardware store(not to mention the fittings) 2. They were charging more three hours of labor for a job that took me an hour so I wanted an expansion of time since I knew he ran to the hardware store. They told me that they had GPS on their vehicles but it malfunctioned. Now since the plumber had been there before I feel that if they need to run to the hardware store that's on their time not mine. I filed a complaint with Better Business Bureau. Laney's then contacted me to say they would take off two hours of labor and agreed that the plumber should have let me know he was switching to poly. Then the BBB called saying Laney's is denying any wrongdoing, but have agreed to the payment of labor and that Laney's and I have agreed to no longer do business. Won't be calling them again.

Just got the bill......WOW - $1,100 just for the hot water heater and $180 an hour for labor!!! Our total bill was $1,750 for a HOT WATER HEATER. I will NOT use them again since are way over priced for their services. My husband could and should have just done it and saved ourselves $1,000, lesson learned here. When Nick owed the business he was fair and didn't over charge people.

If they are associated with Green's plumbing look out!!!!…read more Jan 25, 2024 Green's Plumbing demonstrates inappropriate business practices. After I called in a problem with a leaking facete, they send out a tech for 10 minutes to inspect and charged me $120.00, I was unaware of this added charge until They billed me. They refused upfront to give me even a ballpark estimate when requested. They came back the following day and fixed the unit within an hour. When I got the bill, apart from the inspect charge that I was never made aware of, they charged me $286.68 for the replacement facete which is in the local hardware store and sells for $99.99 (Home Depot) After requesting the model number Green's Plumbing refused to give it to me. After a week they called, and the manager gave me wrong information. When I called Delta direct, they said there is no such model number as Green's gave me? However, Delta did work with me and walked me through how to determine the model number which was installed on my facete. When I called to complain to Green's about the markup in the facete cost, the manager at Green's plumbing indicated that they purchase from a distributer that puts out a much higher quality product but is also a Delta. When I requested the distributers name, they refused to give me any information? From my contacts with Delta, I could determine that the faucet model number was identical to what Green's installed. Their manager was very matter of fact and would not help me in any way! I question their honesty and integrity! I will never use or recommend this company to anyone in the future.
