Just got the bill......WOW - $1,100 just for the hot water heater and $180 an hour for labor!!! Our total bill was $1,750 for a HOT WATER HEATER. I will NOT use them again since are way over priced for their services. My husband could and should have just done it and saved ourselves $1,000, lesson learned here. When Nick owed the business he was fair and didn't over charge people.

They refused to give me even a ballpark estimate. When the came back they fixed within an hour. When I got the bill they charged me $286.68 for the replacement facete which is in the local hardware store and sells or $64.00 and regularly on sale for $40.00. When I requested information on their distributer and the stock nummber of the unit they refused to give me any information? Their manager was very matter of fact and would not help me in any way! I question their honesty and integrity!

I would give them a zero if I could. I was trying to set up getting an instant filtered hot water…read moresystem for the kitchen sink. I called a few plumbers trying to get a bid to know how much it would cost. I traded a few calls with Legacy and was given a bid of 300-500 dollars to install a non RO system. John the service manager gave that number. To be specific they would need to come out and look at it which would cost 60.00 but would be taken off the price once they installed it. The young, seemingly inexperienced plumber met me and looked at the sink (in a new home with plug ins available as well as plenty of space). He looked at it for about 5 minutes and had no idea what to do then went to his truck to call John. He came back about 40 minutes later and the bid was 2200.00 if they provided the system and 800.00 if we provided it. Then added the two together so the bid was 3000.00. I made it clear that I would not have scheduled them to come out if it wasn't going to be in the 300-500 range. I spoke to both the person who gave me the bid and John who authorized the bid and both remembered and validated that they had given me those numbers and Hohn did not tell me there were any reasons/complications for it to have gone up so high. He also still insisted on collecting the 60.00 and told me they couldn't give me an itemized bid because they don't do that when I requested one. In the end I got it installed by another plumber for 325.00 which was the low end of Legacy's original bid. I may only be out $60.00 but their unethical and unprofessional practices really made me feel taken advantage of. We were looking for a plumber that we could use for other projects and trust is one of the top things I need in anyone who I deal with and I was hugely disappointed. I also spoke with John on more than one occasion and gave him the opportunity to make this right and he did not.

I was at work at the time, and my room mates let him in. After finding the broken piece, I brought it up with the owner. The owner called Serviceman Wes and asked him if he broke my keyboard. Of course, he said, "No, it must have been one of his room mates." So of course, I was not reimbursed. The owner said, "Well I've been in this business for (so and so) many years and I've never heard of anyone breaking a computer part before." Just because you haven't experienced it before doesn't mean it can't happen. I have no doubt that it was an accident and that Serviceman Wes didn't even know that he did it, but there was no other explanation. We have a quiet household and my room mates have no reason to walk by my computer. I was very upset with this business's lack of responsibility. When we hired this company, it was with the understanding that our personal property would be safe in their working presence. This company blatantly refused to take responsibility for their employees actions and I feel potential clients need to know that.

Home Heating: A Masterclass in Manipulation, Incompetence, and Corporate Arrogance…read more If you're looking for an HVAC company that will ignore your requests, gaslight you, and leave you stewing in your own sweat like a rotisserie chicken they forgot to fix the oven for, congratulations! Home Heating is the clown car of customer service you've been searching for. I'm a disabled vet. I didn't ask for a mansion. I didn't ask for gold-plated vents. I asked for a repair. A simple, honest fix for my A/C during a brutal summer. But these vultures saw an opportunity to upsell me into a $11,000 furnace and A/C replacement instead. Because nothing says "thank you for your service" like trying to fleece someone barely holding it together in 90-degree heat. Enter Joe Ludwig, the human equivalent of a shrug in a cheap polo shirt. His role? Apparently, to act like I'm crazy for not kissing their boots while they slow-walked my suffering. Snippy tone? Check. Condescension? You bet. Gaslighting? Like he read the manual and annotated it himself. And when I pushed back? "You're imagining it." Oh, am I? They had the audacity, the unfiltered gall, to tell me they were "doing me a favor." A favor that never actually happened. A favor that cost zero repairs, zero installs, and two months of literal misery. If that's a favor, then mugging someone and complimenting their wallet is customer appreciation. Here's the truth: this is what happens when big companies get drunk on their own importance. They forget the customer, they forget the job, and they definitely forget their dignity. Want HVAC work? Hire an independent tech who doesn't think you're just a walking invoice. Home Heating didn't just fail, they humiliated themselves. I wouldn't let them install a fan in a dollhouse.
