I was in Billings for several days due to an eye issue. While there, I found Hansen's Music and was pleasantly surprised at the selection they had of Martin Guitars. I went in 3 days in a row and was greeted and welcomed warmly each time. I was impressed with their customer service and encouragement to play any guitar I chose, no matter the price. I dealt with a gentleman named Tom who was knowledgeable and helpful. On my last day at the store, I bought my dream Martin. It was one that I had heard of but only saw for sale online. I went here to buy a guitar as a gift. I don't play guitar and I don't know much about them, but the staff here was very kind and explained different specs and showed me different guitars. They didn't once make me feel like I was stupid. The salesman that helped me was even nice enough to play a few different guitars so that I could hear the differences in sound. read more

I bought a new Martin guitar from hansen's and had it in a hard case for about three weeks in my house. They told me all the hype about how good it was and how they stand behind the product they sell plus informed me of a warranty on it thru Martin. I got it out for the second time and much to my dismay the neck had failed because of inferior wood. I have been a wood worker and furniture builder for most of my life. I'm 63 now. I took it back to Hansons store and their expert told me I damaged it and they wouldn't help me even tho there was no Mars or scratches in the finish. There was a natural water stain in the wood of the neck exactly where it broke. Martin sent out there expert who was nothing more than a bullheaded yes man for the company and said it was not there fault. I sent it back to the company in Pennsylvania and they replaced the neck, but did not send me the broken one back as I had requested. I paid another 900.00 dollars for the guitar repair and was so disappointed in how i was treated by both companies that I gave the guitar to a friend. If for some reason you are under the illusion that either of these companies will stand behind there product, do more research read more
