DO NOT HIRE HANSENS TO REMODEL A BATHROOM. They promised to provide "professional certified installers" and sent someone who was completely ill equipped to do the work. He showed up with a 5 gallon bucket of tools and a 3 ft plastic level. After promising to do the work in 1-2 days, he finally finished 4 days later. The wall panels are so crooked that the shower door has gaps that you can see through. They broke off corners of the wall panels, and just stuck them back in place and covered them with calk. The backer for the wall panels is so uneven that there are gaps behind the wall panels with nothing supporting the walls. I tried to communicate with their customer support on day 1 of the install, and just got the run-around. Their goal was to hold me off as long as possible to slap together a poor project, and get me to accept their poor workmanship. Their solution to all of their poor workmanship is just to apply more calk. When I express concerns about the longevity of all the calk covering up all their problems, they just say that "there's a warranty", where they will come back an apply more calk. When I asked for the credentials of the "Professional Certified Installer" they couldn't provide any documentation or any certifications for the installer... that he was trained inhouse by the panel manufacturer. He isn't a licensed plumber, even though he was doing plumbing. There is no documentation for the inhouse certification. They insist that it's a patented product, well, happy meal toys also get patents. I have been working for months on trying to resolve all the issues, and I am constantly getting dealing with threats from their corporate office legal team, who is completely disconnected from anything happening in the field. Don't believe they are a local company. The are a giant corporation running a scam, promising high quality installations in a high pressure sales situation, and delivering garbage. read more

We had a walkin shower installed. It took approxomately 4 months from ordering to installation. Installation was scheduled 4 different times before installers showed up. I was told there would be a discount on the total price due to being rescheduled so many times, which was not any of my doings. Two months later I haven't heard a thing from them. There were about four issues after installation which have still not been addressed. I haven't heard a thing from them. Financing was stated to be interest free, but is actually interest deferred. If we don't pay it off in the time frame allowed that interest is added in to the the total fees by the finance company. The salesmen seem to say anything to make a sale, even the district manager. I would not recommend this company to anyone. read more

This has been the most frustrating experience of my life! I have no idea how they can have such a high review rating when their service has been HORRIBLE!!! Trying to get a response from them is like pulling teeth! I will NEVER Recommend 1800 Hansons to Anyone! If I could give them a zero star I would! Don't waste your time or money with them and you will save yourself a Giant headache!! We're 6 months out from ordering our window. This whole process has been Absolutely Awful since we decided to go with 1800 Hansons!! We JUST got the window installed and it arrived damaged and almost to big to fit in the opening! They also didn't send the right screen and now we had to wait for that to arrive!! However they were pushing for payment before it was even done right! read more

it's been a year and a half and we still have SO many problems. First our windows accumulat ice and leak air inside, and we're still fighting to get it fixed. Windows were installed WITHOUT insulation, there's gaps in the window pane, many pieces have been broken. scheduling and communication is horrendous. This was absolutely the biggest waste of our money in our life and worst customer service ever. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. read more

if I had to do over again I would of chosen a local company that wasn't so big! First of all they sub their installers. if there is a problem like we had with our patio doors not being installed correctly it took a good 5 months for Hansons to even get someone to come out and see what the issue was and another 6 months to fix the issue. in the meantime we had to go thru a winter with cold air coming thru the patio doors. When the installers would get here they weren't informed of what needed to be fixed. Be aware, there are way too many divisions to go thru to get something done. Sales reps will give you a whole different story. I would not recommend Hansens to anyone!! read more

I ordered windows in August from them stating that I needed them installed by end of the year. Sales person said no problem and that it helps to keep work for their crew in the winter. Once I gave my signature, only interaction was there computer generated texts. The windows were 4 weeks late being produced. On December 14, got message to get ready for a two day install by their crew. So I took down curtains, blinds, moved Christmas tree and was ready. Weather delayed first install, but then their crew went on vacation. So with no concern for my household, a sub contractor was called in to do the job. On December 29th the sub contractor completed the job. It was a fun Christmas!!! I would not recommend this company. read more

First of all...I'm thrilled to have new good quality triple pane windows in my home. It's a big investment and I went into it with the intention of shopping around. I did get hooked into the quality and lifetime of the home transferable warranty. Now for the review. First of all the product. It is a quality window. Be prepared to lose some glass. They are quite a bit smaller pane-wise. Also learn to make sure they are secured and locked close to get the effective seal you want to keep out the climate and noise. It's easy to have one side or the other not actually sealed shut when you turn the locks. Check them after securing them. These windows are all they were presented to be. The screens are nothing special and I did notice one was loose enough in its frame to ripple a little in the high winds recently. The warranty should cover it and I will pursue that. These windows lift and can be pulled in to clean. Great, but the triple panes of glass are heavy! So it's not as easy as the verticals ones that you don't have to remove to clean. Next the service. Here's where i was surprised. It did take a long time to get them and that time is doubled if any of the windows are the wrong size and a new one is needed. The clear silicone sealant all around the window frame is not aesthetically pleasing to the eye. I've never seen this on a window in a house before unless it was applied to seal draft old windows. Next, to my surprise, the windows were not cleaned when they were installed. It's the equivalent of buying a dirty new car. This really puzzled me and I don't know if it was the install contractor or Hanson's that felt this was ok. There was no follow up from Hanson's on our satisfaction. Once the installers who are subcontracted left with the all the boxes checked on their forms, Hanson's was satisfied. When I asked the contractor if they were going to clean the windows before they left, the response was to put the blame on me by saying "no, but I could ask the guys to do it because I'm not doing it...". I felt like my request was out of line so I dropped it. I pencil whipped all the boxes on the form after that as well to not rock the boat any more. Lastly, the financing. This was all discussed with the sales rep -Not the actual lender- prior to choosing them. I made the mistake of not reading the contract. So I went with what the sales rep told me which was that with a hefty payment up front I'd have smaller monthly payments for the 2 year interest free loan. Not true. The lender advised me the monthly payment stays the same and paying extra does not reduce the monthly payment amount only the length of time to pay. So no smaller payments for us every month and we may as well keep the money we intended to pay up front and tack it on the end of the payment term. This can have a big impact on a monthly budget so read the contracts and beware of payment terms. Shop around folks. Read the reviews like I did. But most important, ask questions, speak up for what you want and read the documents they send you. read more
