I found the roll to be overpowering and to dominate the mouthfeel of this dish. The sausage was good, not great. The fries ("chips") were steakhouse style, which is the German style, but in my opinion to thick for a sandwich already dominated by it's plain white roll. The sausage was well-executed. Not particularly flavorful or interesting. The roll relies heavily on its toppings, which are good but not great. It's hard to go too wrong with curry, mayo, and onion crisps. This place is very hyped-up online. While it's pretty good, It didn't live up to it's reputation in my opinion.

They offer a range of wurst (including the ubiquitous currywurst) alongside a selection of schnitzels, a more Austrian treat, but one known across both countries. On previous visits I've sampled these, and can particularly recommend the Schnitzel Kolsche Art, the traditional pan fried pork escalope coated in breadcrumbs, served in this instance with a black pudding and apple sauce mix. It isn't gourmet, but does as its makers intended and serves up a hearty filler to put a cap on the foamy lager you've just sculled.

I was there for the weekend, so on the Saturday I treated myself to a 'Huge Pole' a succulent 8 inch beef & pork dog sausage seasoned with sage, mace and cayenne peppe, a real mouth fall, really delicious! Then on the Sunday we were back, my mate Dave was chatting away to the owner Abiye and the topic food challenges came up, then Abiye laid down the challenge, some guy had done a double 'Huge Pole' but someone needed to take it up a notch, yep, that guy was me. The Triple Pole: The deal was I had to fit a everything in my gob and have a bite, then I had to finish the beast and If I completed the challenge, the 'Triple Pole' would be on Abiye. Guess what? I demolished it with ease, and the main reason was the standard of those sausages, so tasty I manged three of the buggers and that's why Big Apple Hot Dogs is the best hot dog in London.

It was dry, not very hot or flavorful. The corn on the cob was burnt on one side and undercooked on the other. The fries were just ok. There is a table full of sauces, out of which the lemon her. Was probably the best. I dipped my chicken in it and it helped, but still nothing exciting. The halloumi sticks were ok, it the red sauce with them was also not very good . I'd say skip.
