Unprofessional. Lack of forthcomingness. Poor customer service skills. Poor communication skills. I could go on and on re: my lack of enthusiasm for this deplorable company.... Make sure if you decide to use this awful company that you are physically there to supervise as on numerous occasions I have seen apprentices, who they charge an exorbitant amount to consumer for, "hanging out" or " on their phones." I understand that apprentices have to "get their hours in" however it should NOT be on the consumer's dime unless they were performing a function other than taking up space, which in my experience has not been the case. Maybe call a different electrical company and save yourself the trouble. My understanding is this USED TO BE a great company... I think their time has passed unfortunately. read more

It seems like I am the contrary to the last two reviews written about these guys. I have to say that my experience was extremely pleasant from start to finish. First was the call with Rick who booked and estimate with me right away and was right on time which is always excellent in my book and a good sign of how they do business. Although our job was probably not as nearly complicated as some of the other work they probably get, Rick was extremely professional in assessing the nature of the job and the quote we received was beyond reasonable. For about 180 dollars we go our outdoor automatic light fixed and they were even nice enough to include some free LED bulbs for us and the two guys that Rick had sent over were quick but most important thorough with the job. I have been a customer for over 4 years and have spent about $15,000 for work on my house. For the most part, the work has been good. However, when they wired my gas stove it was not wired correctly so that when there was an issue with the stove it tripped other breakers - I paid to fix this mistake. On 2 other occasions, the electricians did not arrive with the proper equipment to fix the problem delaying an already lengthy wait. What really frosts me is that I was charged $145 for an electrician to show me how to manually turn off a whole house generator that I purchased fro them and that they installed and I pay them over $300/year for a service contract. The electrician was here for 2 minutes. This is something that could easily have been handled over the phone and frankly, I should have been shown this when the generator was installed. When I inquired the best they could do was discount the invoice by 10%. Needless to say, I will not call back. read more

I feel that I have lost trust in Hantsch in that they are not forthcoming with information. They are unaware of zoning laws, caused great grief in the zoning area for which I had to hire a lawyer to straighten the whole mess They are also very expensive in terms of their maintainance contracts. There are other Generac dealers who are much less expensive and will do guarantee work for units that they didn't install. When talking to the manager, a lot of the things that he told me were patiently untrue. I would look for a dealer elsewhere. read more

Had a great experience with Hantsch Electric. They were on time for my service call, professional, polite, timely and got the job done!

I called them when I had a power outage and they were responsive. That's the good news. The bad news is that one of my circuit breakers needed replacement which took the electrician less than 10 minutes from coming in the house to driving away. Very nice man, but I smelled a rat when he said that I would be billed after I asked him what I owed him. I got a bill for $145.00 for less than 10 minutes of labor and a $1.00 part. A neurosurgeon wouldn't charge that much for 10 minutes work. I'm sure Hantsch does good work, but surely others do good work and don't price gouge. read more

Rediculous!!! First off they let our last tenant do shabby work using their license to get the permit now we need the work fixed & finished & getting the run around.. I leave message after message & nobody calls back. They are holding up our whole renovation! After finally calling and getting an actual person on phone instead of answering machine, I told them how unhappy I was & they got an attitude with me & said they will call back after the weekend!!!
