We were greeted with welcome cocktails (we get to mix it ourselves!) plus snacks and wine pairings throughout the meal. The setting was very intimate, and everyone got to interact and participate like a group project while making the empanadas together. (I learned to cut onions correctly..) We learned about the food, some history, and had a great time chatting with fellow guests around us. What I really appreciated was how accommodating they were with dietary restrictions. Whether you're vegetarian or have dairy restrictions like I do, they truly work with you with food substitutes.. When we made empanadas, the chef even prepared a separate dough with olive oil instead of butter for 2 of us that didn't want dairy.. and the desserts were made dairy-free as well. Quite impressive. It felt like a full five-course meal. The hands-on part was making the empanadas, while the chef handled the entrees rest of the way with steaks and veggies. There was a spicy version of a Negroni on the menu that the staff warned me about but I kind of took it as "they probably mean it's a strong drink" But NOPE - it is actually spicy!
