Good buffet, lots of options and $12.80 for dinner. Plenty of chicken, shrimp and beef. Chow mein was delicious.

I entered Happy Buffet at 7:15pm on a Wednesday evening. I was surprised to find it nearly deserted. I went and had a look at the buffet to decide whether or not to stay. Things looked pretty good, and there was a pretty good variety of dishes in spite of what I had read in other reviews, so I decided to stay. The first bowl I picked up for soup was dirty. Not off to a good start. I later discovered the pepper shaker was quite sticky. I was not impressed with the level of cleanliness. I was looking forward to trying the peanut butter chicken as I had read positive comments about it. I was informed that it is a lunch only item. I ordered ice water for my drink, then was surprised to find they had no lemons. I was also disappointed to find they had no spring rolls. They did have egg rolls, but the wrappers had an odd texture-chewy, not crispy. On the positive side, they did have more beef than I usually see on a Chinese buffet. The price was fair for the food, and the quality was mostly decent. I probably won't visit again, but it certainly wasn't the worst I've ever had.

Take out box from the buffet.. Do it yourself.

Food was fair. Service was ok. Place was dirty, which turned us off. Another couple couple and us was a indication.

Their entire bill came to $221, $27 of which is the mandatory tip. They all hand their cash to one boy to pay the bill and he inadvertantly put all of the cash in the bill folder. They gave the waitress a total of $310 dollars. She took the money, left and came back with the receipt, but no change. The kids didn't know what to do when and were reluctant to confront the waitress so they came to the parking lot to get me. I spoke with the manager, explained what happened and asked how to fix the problem. The waitress automatically goes off in Chinese for six solid minutes, yelling at the manger. He then looked at me and said she claimed the kids gave her exact change. I can tell you she was lying because she got the exact total wrong then corrected herself. Then she quoted the next amount which ended in an odd number, saying that's what the kids gave her. All the kids gave big bills, no $1 were given. That's the second lie. The manager said he would review the camera footage and get back to me. He didn't. I called him the next day and 430pm and he said he was too busy to look at it. I got him to look at it while I was on the phone. He did. Twenty minutes on hold and he came back and told me that the cameras stopped working at 604, which happened to be right before the kids paid the bill (odd), and he didn't see the kids transaction or what the waitress did with it. Either the waitress went all oceans 11 on the $87 overage, or she split it with the manager I say. Bottom line. At best their wait staff takes advantage of people, at worst they're theives. Either way, they'll never get a another dime out of me or the parents of the 9 other kids families. Seems to me like it would not be worth $87 but I guess it is to them.

They ranged from sweet to boozy. It was a nice variety that offered something for everyone. For dinner I tried the crab crusted salmon. It was a good pairing, but the salmon without the crab left something to be desired. The Chophouse offers a vegan/vegetarian menu, but you do have to ask for it. One of the featured items on that menu was the ratatouille. It was fantastic and I would certainly recommend it. For sides I greatly enjoyed the Caesar salad, which was not too fishy, and the whipped Yukons were a delight. Large parties can be a challenge, but regardless I found the service to be a bit inconsistent. Though always friendly, we had to remind our server of items that we had asked for on more than one occasion. Near the end of the meal it seemed that the bussers were pushing for us to wrap things up and get out, despite not having been there for a terribly long time. We were asked multiple times if certain items could be cleared while we were still eating them. They just didn't seem to have a good feel for this. There certainly were some strong dishes and I wouldn't hesitate to go again, though it would be on a special occasion as they are certainly not cheap.

One of the first things that stood out right away was the parking. There is plenty of space, it feels safe, well-organized, and easy to get in and out of, which makes a huge difference before you even walk through the doors. It immediately gave us peace of mind and set the tone for a great visit. Once inside, everything continued to impress us. The atmosphere was lively and fun without feeling overwhelming, and the overall environment was clean, comfortable, and inviting. We truly felt welcomed the entire time we were there. That kind of hospitality matters, and Hollywood Gaming & Casino made us feel like valued guests from start to finish. What really made this visit stand out, though, were the restaurants. We had the chance to enjoy Take Two Grill, Zombie Dogs, and the Sports Grill on the top floor, and every one of them was excellent. It is not often that you go somewhere with multiple food options and can honestly say that everything was very good across the board, but that was absolutely our experience here. Take Two Grill was fantastic. The food was fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared, and the service made the whole experience even better. Zombie Dogs was equally impressive, offering delicious food with its own fun personality and style. It was memorable, satisfying, and definitely a place we would gladly return to. The Sports Grill on the top floor was another highlight. Great food, great atmosphere, and a really enjoyable setting that made the meal feel even more special. Each restaurant had its own appeal, but all three delivered quality, flavor, and a consistently positive experience. What impressed us most was that everything felt right. The food was excellent, the service was warm and welcoming, the atmosphere was enjoyable, and the property itself felt safe, convenient, and well-run. When you combine amazing parking, a welcoming environment, and three very good restaurant experiences all in one visit, it makes for an outstanding time. Hollywood Gaming & Casino clearly puts effort into creating a place where guests can relax, have fun, eat well, and feel comfortable. We left very happy with our experience and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a fun outing with great food and a welcoming atmosphere. Everything was perfect, and we will definitely be back. Five stars all the way.

Common Customer Complaints Slot Payouts/Machine "Tightness": A frequent complaint is that the slot machines are "tight" (meaning low payout rates), require significant wagers to trigger bonuses, and result in consistent losses. Some reviewers allege the machines are "rigged" or remotely controlled, a claim the casino and regulatory bodies deny, as electronic gaming machines at this facility are regulated by the Ohio Lottery. Customer Service & Staff Issues: Complaints mention rude, unhelpful, or inattentive staff, particularly at the rewards desk, bars, and in security.
