My fiancé and I came in 2.5 hours before close thinking that we'd have a hot meal and some sushi. We get in and sit and order drinks and surprise surprise, there's legitimately 3 pieces of sushi, all of which weren't held cold enough, one being mangled beyond recognition. Ignoring that most of the food was empty with no plans to refill it, we took what we could and sat to eat. The crab rangoons have just enough imitation crab in them that you can't call them out on false advertising, none of the shrimps are cleaned during prep and the digestive tracts remain. The dumplings were rubbery and inedible. More than a third of their available selection was just desert foods. I would not pride my business on being a sushi and hibachi restaurant when I don't offer hibachi and offer sushi as an afterthought. Never visited without a stomachache the next day. If you're looking for good all you can eat Chinese food, visit Fortune Star buffet in Butler. Same price and significantly higher quality. For all you can eat sushi, I recommend Sushi Bomb in Robinson. Pricier, but a jump in quality for sure. To finish out my review I'd like to note all the wait staff. For the server who found it absolutely necessary to clean my table with diluted bleach while I was eating (an hour before close, mind you) you deserve no explanation for why I didn't finish that plate. I've visited many times in the past and tried to give the benefit of the doubt, but enough is enough. TL;DR: Don't eat here unless you like poor service and overpriced food poisoning. Meijer in Boardman is a better value for sushi, and anywhere else will provide better service. read more

It's fairly clean, staff is always cleaning & restocking with fresh food! I have only been a few times but I have noticed that when it is very busy the staff seem to be very irritated. I blew away my old review based on a few trips recently. Added two pix also. This place gets four stars for lunch buffet. VALUE and TASTE! The soup, blistering hot. Wonton is great! Love the dumplings and the noodle wrap. Hot and sour and egg flower soup also tasty and HOT! It was about 1pm, and sushi buffet was well stocked, and fish all was good, even the white fish, which turns pretty quick. The main line had a great selection of chicken, pork, shrimp (pretty big shrimp for lunch) and other rice and noodle standards. The selection is not broad, but what is out is kept stocked, and tastes very good. No hibachi for lunch, but good, keeps cost down. And the price was $8.32 for one adult with the tax. Deserts were good, ice cream cakes and cookies. I was happy with it when I thought price was going to be maybe $10-$12. When I rung out and it was $8.32?!? Pretty happy! Better than a soup bowl at Panera's for $10! Easily best Chinese buffet in Trumbull, Mahoning, Columbiana, Lawrence counties. My boys like it here so I took them during my lunch break when they were off of school a few weeks ago. It's really is your typical Chinese buffet experience with all of the normal fare. They also offer a small variety sushi rolls as well. I've been here a few times and really never had a bad experience. The service is very attentive and friendly, always clearing your plates away as you make another trip up for more. Another thing that stood out was that the food was hot....not luke warm....but hot which was a nice change compared to a few other buffet spots I have been to in the past. You can't beat the price at $9.99 for the lunch buffet. All in all, I think it deserves a solid three stars and is a great option for a quick and filling lunch. read more

The food was absolutely awesome. The sweet and sour chicken had a nice crunch. The sauce was a beautiful bright red and it tasted so good. The sushi was pretty nice. If I could leave zero stars i would. I food was a dumpster fire. The coconut chicken was so greasy the sauce had no flavor.the general tsoe's tasted like watered down Frank's red hott sauce. Everything was flavorless. The wonton strips were stale. The crab rangon was undercooked. The egg riles were over cooked and had a cinnamon taste. The serving utensils were dirty and grimy. We had lunch at Eastern Buffet in Niles today. Food tasted great, and selection was real good. Also had some Sushi, which was standard buffet Sushi. Overall very good, and will eat here again. Price for lunch was good. One complaint: The food temperatures were spotty. Some items were warm, nothing was hot, and some items were room temperature. They need to turn up, or fix the steam tables. I am surprised they are not being addressed by the Health Department for the steam tables. I hope they get the food temperature issue fixed before we have another meal here. read more

This is my favorite Chinese buffet in the area. They have a decent amount of sushi and they make it fresh. You usually see them making it sometime during your visit. It's not the best sushi but it's very good for a buffet. As with any buffet it's best to go when it's busy. However I've gone at non busy times and I've still been satisfied. The hot food is always hot. The cold food is always cold. Everything is very fresh. While it's not the largest buffet in the area, I feel they have the best quality food. A few of my favorites are the green beans, the broccoli in the chicken broccoli, and the mushrooms in the chicken and mushrooms. While I like both chicken broccoli and chicken muhrooms, the broccoli and mushrooms really stand out. Also, if they have the coconut shrimp and Mongolian Beef out they are definitely worth trying. The staff is always friendly especially the host. I tend to go to this place about once a week, so I may be a regular. If you do go on an off time, and there's something out, ask him to bring out more. We were there late one night and they stopped making sushi. When I asked if they were going to make more, they said no, but asked me what rolls I would like. I told them and they made two rolls and brought them to my table. My son, who is 9 years old, has a fish allergy. Its serious enough that he carries an epipen. Like most kids, he eats the American food at places like this. However, they do poor job of labeling their food. The food they had labeled as chicken nuggets (and looked like chicken nuggets on the outside. A nugget shape, not a strip/tender/filet shape) was, in fact, fish. This is very negligent. I hope that in the future they do a better job of ensuring foods are better labeled, especially that of allergens. read more

When we got up to the buffet noticed a ton of empty pans so asked if they were gonna be filling them up or we would just go elsewhere. They insisted they were coming out with more food. We scrounged up enough to make a plate and sat down to eat but by the time we were done with that the only thing that got filled was the doughnuts... There was no white rice, never filled. I watched the girl scoop sesame chicken into The general tso's so it wasn't empty. Everything was dry and old or never filled. I will never waste my money here again. Went to town to do Christmas shopping and asked someone where we could eat Chinese food and was directed here. I like the convenience of it being nearby, however, I can only say that the food was okay. Nothing outstanding that stood out in my mind. The chicken was okay and there were various styles, such as teriyaki, orange, chicken and mushrooms. The price was very reasonable for lunch ($6.49 I believe). The price is very reasonable and they even offer a discount for senior citizens. They have a fairly wide selection of the usual dishes found at most chinese buffets. Very telling that I went in at 2pm on a Saturday and the steam tables were full and all the food was fresh. I didn't have a single greasy dish. Veggies weren't soggy. The sushi was some of the better that I have had. The usual favorites and some different things -- deep fried sushi? Gotta hand it to them for creativity. My servers were both as friendly as can be. When you come up to the door to enter, the hours sign is dirty and torn stuck on a filthy window. I mentioned this to the manager that this does not make a good impression. He just shrugged me off. Then I went into the women's restroom. It was very dirty and in need of a good cleaning. A couple gallons of paint after a good bleaching would work wonders.. The food is very good and fresh. The staff does a good job of keeping everything full and the sushi isn't bad for buffet sushi. I really liked the many chicken options and the Chinese donuts. Our waitress was friendly and kept the dishes cleared from the table. My complaint is the ice cream was very low in the containers and you could barely get any on the spoon. I used to like this restaurant. There food used to be okay. Their service used to be regular but the place from inside looks warm. As time passing their food start to taste weird ( I guess they changed their chef). Their food is not cooked that well The service is by far the worst i ever seen. Last time I went to this restaurant I saw the manager over their fighting with customers, yelling at customers. I was really shocked to see a manager yelling at a young mom and her daughter because the complained about a hair they saw on the food (regardless of the hair), his behavior was terrible offending that mom. He told her this is from vegetable and not an actual hair (again I am not concerned about the hair as much as how he yelled and scolded her). The woman kept silent and told her "you are not going to eat ?" she said I am fine and the next thing that manager asked one of the workers to give her the check. It was 10 minuets later when the manager start yelling at senior woman (she wasn't near me) so I am not sure what the fight was about. From the part I heard I guess she was telling him to either separate the bill (she was with another senior woman) or asking to correct a mistake. The guy get angry at her and get with the workers after that in the middle of restaurant and all of them start to talk loudly in Chinese. My advice, a restaurant where people yell at you is certainly not a place where you should eat. This is by far the worst place i been in for the last few years.
