Dined here with friends once again, and we were all very pleased with our experience and the quality of the food. It's amazing how large their menu is, and truly there is something here for everyone. My wife loves the pho and all the Vietnamese dishes, and I usually go for the Chinese offerings. No matter which we choose, we know it's going to be good. The wait staff is polite and efficient. Your water and tea is refilled without needing to ask, and your meals are served accurately and without any questions about which diner gets which meal. They get it right every time. Didn't think I would have such great Vietnamese in the middle of Poland, Ohio! Spring rolls and crab rangoons were good, the Pho was really delicious with really great broth. The beef specifically in the vermicelli noodle bowl was outstanding, very well marinated. Prices are super reasonable and service was very friends and fast. I thought that I had updated this review in the last couple years, but nine years? Wow! Maybe it's because the food at Pho Saigon has been so consistently great over the time they've been open. Well, I have eaten here over the past nine years, and it has been consistently great every time. Great service and great Vietnamese dishes that look as beautiful as they taste. Good for singles, good for dates or even the family. The parking with easy access off South avenue in Boardman to 224 and then 680 with traffic lights (well timed perfectly placed lights, which is rare in Boardman) make this place not only an easy choice when you want good food, but an easy choice when you want a place where you can get in and out with no issues, even stopping here during Boardman Christmas shopping season is easy. Excellent Vietnamese food! Authentic flavors! If you don't like Vietnamese food, there are also Chinese food dishes on the menu too. Really enjoyed the summer rolls. I was able to order mine with only shrimp instead of shrimp and pork as on the menu. The veggies inside the summer rolls were very fresh. My entree, B 5, was tasty. Fresh veggies, the shrimp was tender, and the noodles cooked perfectly. Liked the seasonings in the dish. There are many beverages on the menu too. My first time trying pho was here at Pho Saigon! The pho seafood was delicious. The pictures do not do this soup justice; there is so much flavor packed into this soup. Enjoying pho is a chance to stop and enjoy a meal that warms the soul. My meal was refreshing and satisfying. The portions are large and I ended up taking some of my soup home to enjoy later. We also had the summer roll with peanut sauce as an appetizer and it was also delicious. I tried the Tokyo tea and it was spin on a Long Island if I had to compare. The service here is very good! Let's start with the broth, the main reason that makes pho, PHO. Super blend and cloudy, like what did they make it with? Not bone broth for sure but must be some kind of powder. Parking is okay, the decor is ehh, but the food compared to other Chinese restaurants in the Youngstown area is well above average. Staff does their job, nothing totally over the top as far as service or hospitality goes, but for what you pay, you shouldn't be expecting to be treated like the Queen of as England. Would recommend, especially take-out, their portions are considerable and totally worth what you pay. read more

This is advertised as a Vietnamese restaurant, however, a friend told me that they had great Thai food. So, I decided to try them out but found that the only Thai entrée they had was pad Thai. I ordered 2 entrees of pad Thai. One was vegetable, and the other was chicken. The chicken pad Thai was full of flavor, and I was able to taste the spices that are used in this dish. However, the vegetable version was quite bland. I got the impression that two different people made the entrées because they should've had the same flavor as far as spices go. Both contained peanuts and fresh bean sprouts on top, which is the way they are supposed to be served. Some restaurants do not put the fresh bean sprouts on top, and it doesn't taste right. This restaurant also has a lot of Chinese entrées, but I have not tried them. Next time, I think I will tell them when I place my order that I want to be able to taste the spices. I am now updating my review to five stars. I've been here several times since my first encounter, and every time I order pad Thai, I am asked to rate using a number scale the amount of spiciness in the food. It has been perfect every time. I have also tried some other Thai food that they have had on special and found it to be very good as well. My significant other enjoys several of their Vietnamese entrées. My family and I love this place! We lived in Boston for years and I missed the Pho there so much. I am beyond grateful to have found this wonderful little spot in Youngstown. Their dumplings - both fried and steamed - are wonderful. For dinner, I always get B11 - pho with vegetables and tofu. It comes with a medley of herbs, but we've enjoyed the Chinese dishes, too. We came here after movie. Very spacious and clean inside with a big menu. We ordered Pho and fried rice and also bubble tea. Everything was just like I expected, great! The bubble tea is one of the best that I have tried in the US. The portion is also very generous. Our waitress even gave us extra noodles for adding into our soup. She is very friendly and always has a smile on her face. We went to Pho LV yesterday. Although the pho is equally good, the service is not nearly compatible. Love this place. We've been coming here for years. I'm not sure but I think it changed hands a year or two ago. There used to be an old man cooking in the back and a middle aged or older woman who always worked the front. Now everyone is young. Honestly I think it went through a little rocky transition both food and staff wise but this last year, 2013 they seem to have hit there stride. They do a ton of take out. And the place is getting busier and busier inside all the time. Their pho ga has really improved and their pork bun vermicilli noodles is great too. I used to also always get the orange beef and shrimp and lobster when the old man worked in the back. He was an awesome cook. I think I'll try it again soon. We went to Pho Saigon on October 26th for our Anniversary. The waitress was friendly, and the menu was really nice. Decent selection, and really reasonable pricing. We split an order of spring rolls, I ordered the meatball Pho, and my husband ordered the chicken Pad Thai. The Spring roll had so much iceberg in it I felt like I ordered a salad...and the wrapper skin was so tough I struggled cutting it with a knife. The peanut sauce was flavorless. As for the Pho....those meatballs were so hard I could have bounced them off of the floor so I pulled all of them out and gave them to my husband who ate them. The Pad Thai is lacking. The flavor that's there was okay, the texture was okay as well but it's missing some sort of acid. We did also order Shrimp Pad Thai to go....good thing, as we could doctor it at home. As for The restaurant...it was clean, and well lit however I did not understand the walled in area. Made it look like fish in a barrel. They would benefit from just taking that out and opening the dining room up. One final thing, and this pertains to any business (for me anyway). Employees need to keep off of their cell phones while at work. And if you are on your cell phone don't do it on the floor. It's distracting and unprofessional. Love this place. It's a true gem in boardman. I shared a chicken pad Thai extra spicy with my daughter tonight. We ordered online. Food was ready when we arrived, hot and perfectly spiced. Their pho is excellent too! Update...12/22/16 Had the pad Thai again tonight. Unfortunately, they changed the noodles and possibly the recipe. It was terrible. We had also ordered the sweet and sour chicken....the chicken was way over cooked. I don't know that I would choose to come back after paying so much for such a bad meal. read more

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. I always enjoy my meal whether it be pho or Chinese both are delicious. It's cute, quaint, and simple inside. I believe is family owned and operated and the staff is always super friendly and welcoming. The crab rangoons are the best I've ever had. The pho noodle soup is great in the cold weather and especially when you're sick. The flavors are simple and so good. The noodle dishes are also really good. Everytime I have a crazing for pho this is my go to place. I order online and pick up while I'm on my dinner break. I'm able to drive there, pick up and pay, drive back, and eat all within my break. They make pick up super easy and the food is still piping hot when you get to it. Definitely recommend. read more
