If you read my other reviews you know I like to complain...so there's a little clutter on the way to the restroom. Storage overflow. Not enough to take a star. For a primarily take out restaurant, it was cozy. The food was good. The chicken wasn't overly breaded like I've seen elsewhere. And the portion size is generous. I have only eaten here once, and that was enough for me. I am originally from NY and can attest that almost every Chinese restaurant there is consistent with the food they prepare. I ordered boneless spareribs. I could not, for the lofe of me understand why they were drowning in some sort of overly sweet BBQ sauce. Any Chinese ribs or boneless ribs I've had were simply broiled with several layers of char-shu type sauce to give them that signature red color. They should not be in any type of sauce at the time of service. Just glistening, tender pork. I have provided a photo of what I was expecting vs what I was served. Im only speaking from ordering off Uber Eats. Whether I received old food or not I don't know but it was awful. The boneless ribs were drowned in sauce to cover up how dry the meat was. Same goes for the general chicken. The wonton soup had big big noodles in it and that was it and no flavor what so ever. I just moved here from Vegas and I've yet to find a good Chinese restaurant. I read a review once that said "if a Chinese food restaurant has 3.5 stars, that means it's amazing." SO, I'm only giving 4 stars to keep in line with that, because this place is delicious. My go to is kung pao chicken. Great flavor. I like the combo because it comes with pork fried rice and an egg roll. I've also gotten the large, but subbed fried rice. I dislike that their large entrees cone with white rice and you don't have a choice (though you can sub with an up charge). Their egg drop soup is great. Their crab Rangoon is great. I like their steak or chicken with vegetables, and their chicken lo mein. Always seem friendly when you call and order ahead- and it never takes too long to make. Plus, they have a drive thru window. Went to happy china on a whim because I was finished grocery shopping and just didn't want to cook. At 7pm on a Monday, there were more employees than customers, which was a little concerning to me in this sit down restaurant, but I pushed on ahead. I ordered their General Tso's chicken combo with pork fried rice (their standard rice) and a pork egg roll (their standard egg roll) for $7.69 My food was ready in about 10 minutes and I took it home to eat. The chicken was somewhat chewy and stringy. It also had a very sweet flavor. The egg roll was fairly limp and greasy, which was very disappointing. The star of the show for me was surprisingly their fried rice, which was cooked very well and the individual pieces of pork and veggies included all tasted fresh. If you'd like to dine in with Happy China, there is plenty of seating available, but you can also treat it like fast food, because it's the first Chinese restaurant i've witnessed to have a drive thru. Located off of Columbia road, in the strip anchored by Kroger, parking will never be a problem here. Entering and exiting the lot also will be a piece of cake, since there's at least one red light exit here. If you live close, this may be your Chinese food fix, but if you're just passing through, it's likely best to keep on driving. read more

I came here yesterday and ordered the sesame chicken. The service was very fast and great and the food was just as good.

As far as take out Chinese, I would highly recommend this. I went in after doing some late night grocery shopping next to Kroger and forgot about dinner. Of course it wasn't smart to shop on an empty stomach ($120 total what?). I did not know the place also had drive thru. Great service option there. The menu is average with their egg foo young, lo mein, fried rice, protein etc options. The place is clean and the service is friendly. He did not rush me or go on his phone. The food came out hot and the vegetables tasted fresh. The vegetables were cut unevenly, so you can tell that these aren't the frozen machine diced produce. The combo dinner came with a very crispy egg roll and a even seasoned fried rice. The whole process from entering, ordering, and taking home was under 15 minutes. Lied about their cream cheese puffs having crab in them. Unacceptable. Don't lie to customers. Never visiting again. I ordered the General Tsao chicken to go. I asked if it was spicy and the woman said yes. Well, this is close to the spiciest Gen Tsao I've had, which is a good thing! Food here is good & quick however, the lady at the front counter that answers the phone etc is RUDE. beyond rude. She will cut you off mid sentence and shut the drive thru window in your face. read more

I yelped this place spur of the moment and boy was I lucky. It was 2pm so they had all the time to make my chicken wings and pork with Chinese vegetables. I asked for buffalo wings and the sauce was some mix of hot mustard and duck (?) sauce- some of the best wings Ever! The pork and vegetables were better then a PF Changs style restaurant. This is the place that I choose for my Chinese buffet craving. The price is great and includes a drink. Just do not go close to win the buffet closes because they do not replenish which is very sad. Their food all has a good taste and salt and pepper chicken is a favorite of mine and they have it on the buffet most of the time. It's never been so busy during a visit that we haven't been able to get a seat which is nice and the game is very reasonably priced. I love Chinese and this is my go-to place. read more

The food on the buffet was cold. The taste of it was not good. I got here within 10 minutes of them opening. If the food was already cold so close to opening I can't imagine what it will be like as three day goes on. I just pray I don't get sick.
