I got miso soup (4.25/5), the volcano roll (4.5/5), and hibachi chicken, shrimp, and tofu (5/5). The miso soup was good but nothing too special. We loved how crunchy the dynamite roll was. I loved my hibachi proteins; they were better and a lot larger portions than dedicated hibachi places. Everything was cooked great; the shrimp and tofu had a nice, semi crunchy sear on them, and the veggies and chicken were also flavorful and tender. The fried rice was ok; I didn't notice any egg. One of Augusta's best Korean fusion restaurants. I got their fried rice bowl and at mirin, you get an option of 2 or 3 meat choices. I went with the 2 meant option which is about $20. Got the grilled chicken & steak, which was solid. The grilled chicken had a great char flavor, while the steak tasted like something you'd eat at a hibachi restaurant. The fried rice wasn't oily or dry, best part was how's the portion was. Got a side of 6 piece gyoza which was meat and vegetable filled; that was also non oily and fried just right. Took about 7-8 minutes for the order to come out which was a fast then around. Plenty of room for dining & facilities were pretty clean. They also have other menu items like bubble teas and ramen. I have never had Ramen so flavorless. The pork didn't make sense; it was the only thing in the dish with any flavor but how are you supposed to eat that big slab with only chopsticks and a spoon? The atmosphere looks nice, if a tad plain. But some of the tables had to be scooted out to get into the seat and they were heavy on a granite floor so loud screeching accompanied the otherwise silent room. Fast food style service and the annoying receipt signing which fast food shouldn't have was present. Also, the toilet wouldn't flush. Five out of five, do recommend! I stopped in last Saturday for lunch with my aunt. They weren't busy at all so we just walked right up to the counter, ordered and found a table to wait... Our food was at our table in about twenty minutes, maybe less. I ordered the Super Grain bowl w/shrimp and my aunt ordered the Stir Fried Noodle bowl w/shrimp and chicken. It was all so fresh and good! Big shrimp! I spent roughly $50 for two meals, oh and my aunt had two spring rolls and we had two soft drinks as well. I can't say this will be a go to often as $50 isn't cheap but it was so delicious! The place was slow for a Saturday afternoon, as I said but a lot of tables were full and it was relatively quiet. They're usually pretty quick about bringing about the food for dine-in or takeout. Honestly I think they're a little overpriced compared to the quality and portion size of the food. The apps are incredibly small. Ramen is tasty but they fill the bowl with mostly noodles. read more

Was looking for food the other night because I was starving and this place and the pictures and while I was already starving, the pictures of the food looking amazing with the already high reviews made me want to try it and oommgggg I'm so glad I did because it was so delicious I was sad when I got too full to finish it but I had the leftovers for breakfast. Not the greatest ramen I've ever had but it definitely gets the job done. The noodles don't seem to be house made which is what I noticed immediately. The tonkotsu broth was rich and flavorful. I've been looking for a ramen place in Augusta for a while now and stumbled upon this place. It looked fairly new but worth the try. The service for the food is pretty quick. You order at the counter and they give you a number and they bring out the food to your table. We decided to sit outside since it was a nice day and they were able to find us with no problem. I tried the spicy wontons as an "app" and they were probably the best I've had. They had the right amount of heat and had so much flavor. I could have ordered some to go just so that had more for later one. I ended up finishing the all of them before I knew it. Then I had the short rib ramen. The ramen was good but the short rib was not tender at all. It was not something that I could have ate with chopsticks for sure. So I ended up saving it for later to eat at home. When I ate it at home I did still enjoy it. Just to tough to eat out in public. Other than that it was still good. I did end up getting a Thai tea but I did not like their tapioca pearls. The lady at the front counter let me get a different drink and didn't charge me. I ended up trying something totally new and absolutely love it. It's was the strawberry milk with strawberry popping boba in it. The perfect match. I think next time I would try a different meat just because the short rib wasn't it for me that day but other than that the experience and food was really good and worth going to try. read more

Best Thai Tea in Augusta! During my four years at AU, I spent many a days going to Mirin for either lunch, a quick pick me up (thai tea), or a snack! The service is amazing, and the food is even better! Here are some of my personal favorites! The Thai Tea is my absolute favorite! The tapioca boba in it is absolutely delicious! The spicy miso ramen is also a classic! It is definitely got a kick to it! But the flavors are still there and delicious! The cheesy beef fries are ridiculously delicious! Mirin is good, but I want to say they are slightly overrated. The food is decent and fresh, the bowls are good and they have ramen. Poke is also decent. My main problem with this is that you're spending $18 for poke when Hello poke is $13 for way more food and toppings. The other bowls are also decent but as I said not special and also more money than other places. I come here because it sometimes feels like the only option in the area besides 5 guys and it's much healthier of an option. I like the quick service/order at the counter style. It's also clean and feels quite casual. If there were other options for ramen and bowls I might not come but alas, they are the best option for that in Augusta. I just feel that they are overpriced. I've been to Mirin a few times and I am very comfortable giving it a solid 4-star rating. For me, one of the big sells is that you can eat a relatively healthy and nutritious meal at a decent price while out and about. The food itself is really rather simple. I would probably describe it as Asian Fusion for the most part. But the build your bowl aspect is a lot of fun. It think it's a great alternative to a burger and fries. The inside of the restaurant is fairly spartan but functions just fine for the purposes of casual dining. They do sell alcohol. Although I tend to end up there on the early side and haven't had the fun of partaking. To sum up, it's a solid spot to get a fairly healthy meal at. I really wanted a quick bowl to go, and the selection of restaurants open in Augusta on Monday was not impressive, so I checked this one off my list. Ordering online got me a bowl that was ready in fifteen minutes or so when I arrived. I was impressed by the freshly grilled tofu on top. The menu also offered excellent variety; I got brown rice with a hint of quinoa, but could easily have gotten a salad or a noodle bowl. Toppings included edamame and avocado at no extra charge, along with quite a few others. The sauces were clearly marked for vegan and gluten-free needs. And the price, as such things go, was not bad at all. The fast casual bowl is never going to be the peak of haute cuisine, but as a fast food place, they did about as good of a job as I could have hoped for. Wanted to update my review after coming here multiple times over the years. I still stand by the fact that their grapefruit oolong tea is one of the best fruity teas I've had not only in augusta but Atlanta as well. Yum! For the food, my favorite is the Korean beef tacos and the cheesy beef fries. Both have the same beef base and both are extremely delicious. Another favorite is the Korean hit bowl. Even the build your own bowl is great too. I'm not the biggest fan of the ramen or noodle options but just for the tea and tacos alone this place is worth 5 stars to me. My mom and I were visiting relatives in Augusta and we had dinner here the first night of our stay. We ended up eating here every night for dinner. We loved the bowls so much! My mom had chicken and I had tofu. The tofu bowl has so much flavor that I didn't need to add the sauces that it comes with. I even asked how they seasoned the tofu and the girls in the front didn't know. One went to ask in the back and she came back and forgot most all they said except she told me they add cumin. I don't know what else they use but the tofu is the best that I have ever eaten. We really enjoyed our meals. The inside was very clean and I appreciated that. You could bring a large group because there is enough room. An added perk was that Sprouts Market is in the same shopping center so we would go over there after our meal. Yet another review for Mirin Fusion Kitchen from me. Came in this time to take my mom out for dinner while she was visiting me. We decided to order the 6-hour braised ribs that were advertised all around the store. Unfortunately, these ribs didn't have a price attached to them, but there were only a limited number available every day! We just wanted to try it regardless of the price. My mom ordered it on top of a spicy Japanese ramen noodle base, and man, was it good. I had the same ramen, but had tonkatsu pork as my protein instead. It paled in comparison. We didn't know how much the ribs were, and we didn't get an itemized receipt after paying. But based on the blackboard, the Japanese ramen was $11.99, and our total was $36 after taxes were added... So you're telling me we paid $20 for one (1) bone of ribs????? I mean, it was good, but I'd only try it ONCE for the taste. The food was incredible, but the prices are outrageous. This would've been another 5-star review, but I gotta dock one star for that expensive braised rib. Please PLEASE advertise your prices better!! read more

This restaurant has been on my "try list" for awhile, so when I was asked where would I like to have my birthday lunch, I chose to go here. They were a bit packed, but we found seating fairly quickly. You have to order food with the cashier and they bring it out to you. I ordered the Korean KBBQ tacos, the Gyoza, the tiger milk boba, and eggrolls. I ordered chicken nuggets for my little one and one of my other children got the chicken teriyaki entrée. We didn't have to sit for long before our food came out. The tacos were delicious, I loved them. My older daughter cleaned her place she loved the chicken teriyaki and my youngest didn't eat her food she said her chicken nuggets didn't taste that well.
