I spent 15 minutes talking to Cliff about what not to do to my dog and why, basically he gave me the okey doke because he did not listen to a word I said! He shaved my dog so short in some areas that it was down to the skin. My dog was not himself for 3 weeks after. He shaved his butt so far down that the poor dog was crying and always wanted to sit on it. My dog loves to go to the vet and never had a problem with getting on the table, I had an appointment a few days after for him to see the vet and he was crying because he did not want to get on the table. As someone who used to work here, this place needs to be bought out as Cliff is a terrible owner and not only treats his employees horribly but treats the dogs disrespectfully as well. I will keep my name anonymous. I have worked here and so have my friends and I was given permission to share their experiences. I have attached photos to show I worked here as well. When Cliff is not around, everything is okay. Mike is a beyond excellent manager and every single staff member has agreed Cliff is not a good person. Between the cursing the staff out, to body shaming one of his employees who later that day quit only 2 days ago as I'm writing this. He screams "shut up" at dogs, he has hit his show dogs while grooming them, and has called dogs names such as "bitch" *disgusting mutt etc. Around Christmas time my friend and another girl were working as the only regular employees. Mike was the manger and Cliff obviously the owner. One of the girls turned up the heat because the place was very cold and it was maybe 20 degrees out. The next day Cliff screamed my friend's name. He yelled at her and asked if she touched the heat to which she explained it wasn't her and it was the other girl. He begins screaming in her face and said "I'm going to rip her ass" regarding the girl who turned the heat on. The same friend had said that Cliff would show up to her house on numerous occasions if she hadn't answered a phone call with one time being within 30 minutes of her not answering. This is crossing so many boundaries. She has recently decided to quit. She said "I would ve quit sooner but I felt so bad for Mike because we were the only ones working there when (other girls name) was away in college". 2 days ago someone was working there. He was new and maybe worked 4 shifts if that. Cliff was mad at him for not knowing how to mow the lawn and instead of teaching him he yelled at him. He then went to another employee and body shamed this person saying he had "noodle arms" and mowed like "piss pore". Later this person took out one of the show dogs on a leash not knowing to carry the dog because no one taught him that and he never worked with a show dog. Cliff yelled at him "use your fucking head" instead of simply explaining not to use the leash. When the person texted Cliff later saying Cliff had made him uncomfortable and he wished to resign from his position there, instead of apologizing all Cliff said was, "no problem". When another girl was working there he would constantly curse at her and tell her she couldn't do anything right. Keep in mind she was new. He yelled at her on her first day. When the girl asked for water she was told to drink from the sink. Cliff's wife ended up bringing the girl a water bottle and Cliff was upset at this. While working there Cliff would always scream shut up extremely loud at the dogs. He had hit dogs while grooming them with a brush or his hands. While cutting a show dogs nails last week, he hit his face. I am very confused as to why he works with dogs when he gets very aggravated with them if they aren't 100% perfect. Ever send your dogs with treats, toys, and a bed? Well don't, they more often then not won't even give your dog the bed but when you pick them up they'll pretend they did. They also go out of their way to take treats out of your bags to make it look like they gave it to the dog but in reality it's in a table piled with treats they took from people. They have also done this with food especially canned food. They also sometimes feed dogs less than what the owner said. There are a myriad of issues with this facility and I would love for it to be investigated. Cliff should not be allowed to own this place nor be allowed to participate in dog shows. I hope one day we'll get our justice and I apologize to anyone affected by his horrible ownership. As terrified of Cliff to see this review and yell at me over it as I am, I feel everyone needs to see how much he's hurt people behind the scenes. read more

I just picked up my dog from getting groomed and since I generally board my pup there I figured since they are so great with that, why not give them a chance with her grooming also?! AND OMG!!! What a horrible job!!! He's a professional in dog shows but when it comes to grooming your dog to your liking or desire, he will NOT deliver! My pup went in looking like a freshly brushed teddy bear (being she's a light tan cockapoo) and we brush her on a daily basis. To come out looking like a malnutrition, no fur dog with a 70's fro! Dropped her off and explained to the owner exactly what we didn't want... "Cut her down but don't shave her. Well enough to leave her fluffy but trimmed and a rounded bear look for her face!" He said he would take care of it and we trusted him with our pup. What we got back, is exactly what we didn't want and we shouldn't have had to pay for it but we did anyway to avoid but we will NEVER have her groomed there again! His attitude... "She will grow her fur back in 10 days and she was really knotted!" My response... "This is exactly what we didn't want! She wasn't knotted because we brush her on a daily basis! DO NOT USE THIS KENNEL!!! They are highly irresponsible and not trust worthy. To start off I had a 12:30 appointment to drop off my 2 dogs before the wedding. When we showed up at 12:15, they were CLOSED. After many calls we found out that they were on a 2 hour lunch break and wouldn't be back until 2. After explaining and begging to them that it was our wedding date and asked them to come back sooner, they didn't care at all and told us to wait for their lunch break. They finally showed up around 2:30 and couldn't care less about our situation. Needless to say we were late to our own wedding so they could enjoy 2 hours of lunch (even though we had an appointment to drop them off). We gave them specific food to feed them because they have sensitive stomachs, and they didn't use our food and fed them whatever garbage they had laying around (I know this for a fact because I packed just enough food for 2 days and it was filled to the top when I picked them up). My dogs were throwing up and diarrhea for a week because of their carelessness. I had special engraved collars with matching leashes hand crafted for them. When we came to pick up our dogs they "swore" that they witnessed us walk out with the leashes in our hands. After fighting with them that we didn't have them my husband finally went in to the kennel section to look and found them thrown in the corner. They tried to accuse us of stealing these leashes even though they were an exact match to our dogs collars. I don't know what other horrible things they did while we were away, but the bottom line is please do not trust your animals with these people. They do not care about the wellbeing of your dog or you as a person. I'm sharing my story to cause awareness and I hope no one has to suffer the stress and anxiety these people put us through. read more

Took my Yorkie here several times and one time her stomach was so razor burnt. On another occasion, when I went to go pick her up, the owner met me outside and said that my dog's ear was nicked. However when I saw her, it was more than nicked, and an entire chunk was missing and she was bleeding. It took her a long time and with careful management to recover. A previous employee informed me that on several occasions when dogs do not behave, the owner gets physical with them and slaps the dogs around. It makes sense to me, because each time I brought my dog there she trembled in fear. Find another groomer and do not take your pets here. This place is also expensive and not worth it in that aspect either. read more

HORRIBLE place, if you love your dog DO NOT send them here. Had to have been almost 10 years ago, they lost both of my dogs and didn't bother to call us. To this day, we never received contact for an apology. We only knew our dogs went missing because we received a phone call on vacation that someone had found our dogs. My dad went there to confront them and the employee showed us where they had been kept. It resembled a storm cellar with disgusting floors; it was barbaric conditions. One dog was gone for a day, and the other was gone for an entire week in the dead of winter. Also before they make excuses about how it was a different manger or whatever, the owner is still the same so its still the same horrible management. read more
