I'm not sure how this place has only 1 yelp review? I took my lab mix in for nail trimming all the time and they allowed me to help hold her and keep her calm. I'm definitely a fan of that process vs. petco drop off. They do a fantastic job on the nails and all the dogs that I've seen in the establishment while I was there were very calm while getting trimmed/bathed/clipped and look amazing! The staff also helped me learn how to do anal gland expressions which I am very appreciative of. I've left the area and this review is long overdue. I emailed the office and asked about the nail grinder/and bit tool that they use (even though I'm no longer a current customer since I've moved) they emailed me back that night with the info. read more

I have taken my dog to Happy Dog a few times for either nail trimming and or full grooming service, they do a good job over all but the only think I don't like about them is that they don't list their prices online and they have gotten more and more expensive every time. seems like every time I take my dog for service I am being charged more and more every time. Pretty happy with how my dogs cut came out!! Was able to get an appt. due to a cancellation. Sadly I didn't get the groomers name but she did great! Dropped him off asked me what he usually got done & she did what was asked :) his cut was done within an hour & a half; definitely will return again read more

What a scam! The intake was great. It was super friendly. The intake person wrote down exactly what I wanted done, which was. "Under no circumstances should my dog be shaved." The ONLY thing I wanted done was a bathe, a sanitary clip, and her nails and ears done. That's it! The intake person told me it would take 3 hours. Great. I was surprised when I got a call 1.5 hours later to come pick my dog up. They requested payment immediately, but somehow forgot to quote me a price. I paid, because it seemed like it would be easier and my wife and her family had been going to this place for years. Anyway, I only briefly noticed my dog's appearance initially, because I was in a hurry to another appointment. When I got to the other appointment and actually looked at my dog, I was flabbergasted. I can't believe I just paid $125 dollars for a complete shave of my dog! I could have done that at home! I would have done that at home. I wanted her nicely groomed, not shaved. I called my wife. She called the groomer. Then...well...the groomer lied. There was some completely fabricated conversation story about how they called me in the middle of grooming to tell me there would be an extra charge for extra time and I flatly refused. THIS NEVER HAPPENED...so...I called. The manager told me that the groomer's story changed to a conversation that happened during the intake. She supposedly told me then that if the hair length was going to be kept, it would be an extra $15 and extra time and I flatly refused, so they went ahead and shaved the dog. THIS NEVER HAPPENED! An extra $15 to groom my dog the way my wife specifically asked would have been no problem! But no. What really happened was a greedy little groomer wanted to fit and extra dog into the schedule and cut the appointment short by screwing up my dog's very nice coat (at least this is my guess, as I cannot for the life of me figure out how everything got this screwed up). Anyway, instead of giving me a refund, they offered me 25% off the next grooming session that I will never use! I just paid $125 dollars for complete incompetence and to be lied to and about! Worse, I automatically tipped the lying groomer! I understand mistakes. It happens. I would have been completely OK if there was an apology about notes getting messed up, or the instructions getting confused with another dog's. I wouldn't be happy, but I would understand, somewhat. Instead a complete lie was fabricated to justify laziness and incompetence. I absolutely HATE being lied to and about. I can only hope that anyone reading this takes my review to heart. read more

I was hesitant to come here a few years ago because of mixed reviews, but we are 3 years in and have only had positive experiences. Dan is my dog's current groomer and she loves him. He does a great job. The staff behind the front desk are very friendly. Prices have gone up a bit in the last few years, but I will continue to go here because of how comfortable my dog seems to be and each visit goes well! I also want to note that about a year ago my dog stepped in tree sap and it completely messed up the pad of her paw. Happy Dog made room for her in the schedule to take care of this as I expressed concern because the pad of her paw had a small tear. They cleaned and fixed her paw up flawlessly. Not happy at all with this place. We took our dog here for the first time. The cut was totally uneven. It looks like a complete amateur did this. Come to find out they cut her on her paw and didn't even mention it to me. When I picked her up I saw the fresh blood and instantly asked about it, to which they blamed it on a scab between her toes.... the cut wasn't between her toes, it was right at the top of the toe. And no scab. Really disappointed with this place considering they had good reviews, but the fact that they didn't call and tell me they cut her and I had to find out myself is not good customer service. Not sure of the groomers name, but she did a great job on Jameson. I called in to get an appointment and was able to get him in within a week and a half. Could have been earlier, but I wasn't able to take the early appointment. Person who answered the phone was very pleasant and helpful. Jameson needed grooming desperately and what a difference. I took him in for his appointment and was greeted with smiles by the staff. He was groomed exactly how I wanted him. He looks so handsome. Unfortunately, I did not get the groomers name. I can't recommend this business to anyone let alone my worst enemy. I took my husky there to get a de-shedding and trimmed up this week. And after getting home and looking her over I was pissed to see that all they did was bathe her!! There was no trimming of her paws and she was shedding just as bad as before I took her there. I even gave the girl who I dealt with a nice tip and now I feel like a idiot for not inspecting her before I left the business. If you have a large dog forget this rip off place!! read more

Sebastian loves this place! It is a top notice spa experience for my sweet pup. He loves the staff here and they love him. They do an amazing job with grooming him no matter what kind of mess he gets into outside. I have never seen my pup crated here. Rather, they have adorable waiting rooms for each pup with fluffy beds and blankets to relax. I am able to drop my pup off in the morning, do errands and they call me when I need to come in to get him. They do a through job every time. They can handle all sizes of pups. I took my border collie there today and they did a great job! My dog had a really bad experience at a different groomer and he basically refused to let anyone cut his nails since. However, they were able to trim his nails today along with his groom and de shedding treatment. So not only did they do a great job, but my dog must have felt comfortable there to let them do it. We took our dog for the first time...Excellent job! He came home happy, and looked like a million dollars!

If I could I would rate them a 0, I would! We spent around $100 for the ugliest cut my dog has ever gotten. We asked for the typical bichon cut. All they did was shave him down all the way, WHICH I COULD HAVE DONE FOR FREE. I would not recommend this place to anyone, I've never even spent this much money on a GOOD haircut for my dog. We almost cried picking him up because they really didn't even try with him, DO NOT GO HERE. They will not trim the nails and they will not give your dog the haircut you ask for. I am honestly embarrassed of my dog's appearance right now, this is beyond upsetting. If they couldn't do the cut how we asked, we could have been notified or talked to there, instead we picked up a dog who is barely recognizable now. Take your business elsewhere guys!! I am including pictures of how we have gotten him cut in the past (at other places when requesting the bichon cut but shaved down some) VS how happy dog grooming left my dog. 0/10 please take your dog somewhere else or try cutting them at home, because it will always turn out better than this and you'll save over $100. Hearing great reviews about their gentle treatment we choose Happy dog grooming for our 5 year old rescue dog who is extremely skittish Our appointments have been exclusively for nail trimming (grinding). The last few appointments have been rather disappointing. A staff would take her in and bring her back out with the same nail length. We could see her paws split because of her long nails. I understand their decision not to trim a lot but there has to be minimum trimming for her to feel comfortable while walking. I let it go by for at least 4 appointments but the latest appointment made me want to bring it to their attention. I called them up to inform about my experience and the staff was silent and went on to say " I don't know what to say." I was shocked by the indifference. I booked another appointment and the staff did not even bother to offer a free service to fix what should have been done in the previous appointment. $25 for nail trimming is a not cheap! To add to it the terrible customer experience in spite of letting them know what happened. I will not be going back and I do not recommend this place. read more

I have never picked up Cody from a dog groomers without him leaping into my arms to save him. But not at Happy Dog Groomers! He was so relaxed and happy in the groomers arms. She just handed him to me and we walked calmly out. They also have a great set up for transferring my pupper to them safely outside during this crazy pandemic. This is the best dog groomer ever. I never skimp on my dog, but I found out I was. I was paying $10 at a retail chain to get my dogs nails trimmed. For a few more dollars my dogs were treated with patience & kindness. The nail trim was easy on them and easy on me. The groomers never forced anything my dogs was not ready for. Then I found out they do coat blow outs for $15. Mind blown. Usually you have to buy a package to get this done. Nope! No appointment needed and my Siberian Husky gets a blow out. Saves me a ton of time. I don't know the groomer by name, but he is male. He was so patient with my dog. They put something over the dogs eyes/ears to protect them. Well my dog was obviously stressed by the covering so he took it off and was extra careful. They even remember when we come back. Finally, for the most part it is an open floor plan with lots of windows for you to see what is going on. I really like that. I want to be able to see exactly how my dog is being treated. I groom one of my dogs and will partially groom my other little rescue poodle-mix, but he's so anxious that it can take me weeks of 10-minute clips to finally get him groomed all the way, so I bring him to a professional groomer. The previous groomer left my pup more afraid of clippers than when I began, so, after hearing great things about Happy Dog Groomers from two of my friends, I sought them out. Holly groomed my scared, traumatized pup. When I picked him up, he looked great and seemed pretty calm. Then, after I got home, I did some final grooming on my other dog to make him look as lovely as my little guy. Well, surprise, surprise, my little guy jumped up on the grooming table and asked to be groomed! So I pretended to clip his ear fur. Then, to end the session, I invited him into the garden (his favorite place!), but he wouldn't come outside. Even after I was in the garden without him for five minutes, he remained on the table waiting for more attention! Happy Dog Groomers really knows how to work with scared dogs! Can't say enough great things!!! I took my Great Dane Mowgli here to get bathed and have his feet done. He's aggressive with bigger dogs so I'm always hesitant taking him places and having to leave him. Let me also say that we've had 2 groomers and a vet that has said he was too difficult to deal with so we have been struggling trying to find someone to get him groomed. The staff was amazing! I felt so comfortable leaving him with the groomer he had. They were fast and said so many great things about my sweet boy. We were also invited back best part! My dog just had his first...and LAST....grooming by Happy Dog. He is a flat-coated retriever mix and is supposed to have a moderate-length double coat that should not be shaved. I spent about 5 minutes explaining to the groomer what I wanted (trim the feathery areas, and thin the thick areas on his back end and the "mane" around his neck). I made the mistake of assuming that the groomer knew how to groom a flat-coat retriever. Boy, was I wrong. I just picked him up, and he looks like a poodle. The hair on his body is only 1/2" long. I don't know how I could have made my request any clearer. Perhaps I shouldn't have assumed the groomer knew about flatcoats. Maybe I should have asked that my dog be groomed like a golden retriever or a rough collie. But that really doesn't matter, because we won't be going back. read more

I have an 85lb, sweet as sugar, pitbull. I have struggled to find a place that would treat him like I would. This place is 5 STARS!!! Having had bad experiences at other places, my dog and I were skeptical. The staff here let me walk my dog in and stay for a moment while everyone got comfortable. They have little rooms for the dogs with beds, water, and fans. No cages!!!!! When went to pick up my dog he was behind the receptionist desk with treats and love. Not to mention, the grooming only took 1 hour and my dog looks AMAZING. His fur is soft and clean, ears are spotless, and nails are trimmed perfectly. I am so pleased!!!! 10/10 recommend!!!! read more
