St. Lukes came highly recommended from a coworker that has deep roots in Federal Way. She pretty much knows all the ins and outs of this town. I trust her opinion regarding children as she is a retired nurse with grown well rounded children herself. My child has had the best experience here! Teachers are amazing! They are patient, informative and fun for the kids! My child in the three years attended did not once ever have an issue with a teacher nor did I. Common goal of preparing these kids for elementary both academically and socially has been beyond my expectations. The buildings are secure and safe. Tuition is comparable to most private preschools in the area but I feel you get much more from St Lukes. Weekly Chapel is wonderful reminding the kids that they are loved by our Lord just for being them and encouraging them to seek Jesus is so encouraging to these kids! Sadly, St Lukes only goes to kindergarten. My child will leave here with so many great friends, relationships and memories. I am grateful for this school making his first school experience wonderful.

While there is cost associated with this school, we have clearly felt it is worth it for many years. We started as part time when the kids where little as that is what our schedules, finances and comfort levels were at the time. They have done K-10 here as well. The head teacher for elementary - high school is amazing and a blessing. Every year we contemplate if the cost it worth it and every year we wholeheartedly decide it is worth the education they have received. In the younger years the education is rated for excellence through recognized national and state programs. My professional education, training and experience agree that they do good work with the younger kids. The children are encouraged to think and explore. When they get to school age, again the teacher is wonderful and also appropriately credentialed. Our kids exit GRMS with strong social skills, excellent academic skills, and are ready to face the challenges of Running Start and beyond.

Our daughter has learned in leaps and bounds here. The structure and education she gets is only seconded by the love and comfort we wish we could give her all day ourselves. Her teachers come up with new creative curriculum every week. Not a day goes by without photos and updates throughout the day. The unseen lower level of the house is utilized only for the school. As you walk down the pathway to the school you will see a huge backyard that is set up with all kinds of fun outdoor activities (with all the safety and security you could ask for). Inside you will find there are no T.V.s or electronics. Kids are encouraged to explore and immerse themselves in creative play. The classrooms are incredibly clean and well organized!! Breakfast, am & pm snacks and lunch are all served at a kiddo friendly table in the heart of the classrooms creating a family style feel. From the infant room all the way up to the elementary school age kids, my 4 kids ABSOLUTELY enjoy their time here every day. I have 1 kid in the infant room, toddler room and lastly elementary. I have used this center as well as the previous Learning Land center on 256th street for a grand total of 5 years and counting. All workers here are diverse, friendly, informative, safe, empathetic, supportive, nurturing, patient, experienced and licensed.
