We stayed 5 nights at the Mystic Mountain B&B and lets start this review with 5 stars = 6 stars in hospitality all by itself let alone all the other "make yourselves at home" that came with our experience. Carrie & Chuck, our hosts, were delightful from start to finish. They made sure we had everything we needed and then some. From the amazing from scratch breakfasts each morning to the fresh baked plate of goodies each evening our stay was filled with one smile after another. The B&B is only one of the many things they offer with this special 100 acre property. The property also boasts a full service nursery with some of the best looking hanging pots displays I've seen in years and an assortment of farm & exotic animals that will delight kids and adults alike. The views of the surrounding mountains are amazing as are the walks along the river that runs along the property. The peaceful fresh air feeling and soul recharge that comes with this stay is hard to put a price on. Mystic Mountain Farm is only about a 20-25 minute drive to either Arlington or Darrington (sits about halfway between the two on Hwy 530) and I'd highly recommend you consider a stay here to make any visit an extra special one.

The hills of Granite Falls form the perfect backdrop for a large, outdoor wedding. And while the backdrop satisfies the aesthetic desires of engaged couples, every other accommodation comes courtesy of the River Valley Oasis staff. All afternoon and evening, nothing stood out more to me than their gracious, attentive service. James (the manager) and his crew took time to show me the venue and made sure I was well-prepared to take care of the couple. They were active throughout the day coordinating space, power, and extra supplies for all the vendors. The backyard area has a vast lawn, which is filled with log benches and other neat rural fixtures, including barn-roof cocktail areas and a rustic wooden swing that was perfect for wedding photos. The whole area is lined with neatly trimmed bushes and colorful flowers. The River Valley Oasis has a spacious, white tent in the back of the main grass lawn, with seating for 180. Around the corner from the main lawn, down a path of flowered arches is a beautiful garden. Right out of a movie, the area backs up directly to the stream for which the River Valley Oasis is named. Surrounded by flowers and trees, the garden is ideal for a dream romantic ceremony. The path to the garden also makes a processional and recessional aisleway. Despite its size, every inch of this space has a rural appeal that simply can't be beat. Both the Groom and Bridal suites are emblematic of the River Valley Oasis' unique charm. The bride and bridesmaids have an ornate, mirror-laden room near the front of the venue, while the groom and groomsmen have their own raised cabin (that was open-faced toward the river) to carouse in before the festivities! I highly recommend the River Valley Oasis -- it has it all!

Or 2 couples. The loft features a king bed and its own bathroom complete with a shower. The main level features a nice simple kitchen with full size refrigerator, dishwasher and 2 burner electric cook top. The living space is comfy with an oversized couch two comfortable chairs and a perfectly sized dining noon table with room for four. There is also a queen size bed and a full bathroom also with shower. The views are spectacular over looking the Saratoga passage while off in the distance lurk the Cascade mountains. We were so lucky to have experienced both moon and sun rises each day during our stay!! The frolicking seals, numerous water foul and two crotchety herons welcomed us with all their natural glory!! The check in process was easy and couldn't have been more convenient!! We arrived late and entered our room with our issue. We were greeted with some delicious treats, cookies, gummies, trail mix and pop corners!! Such a lovely welcome surprise. There were fresh cut flowers and plenty of warm blankets to enjoy a lovely evening or morning sit in the nicely decorated deck outside. Couple of hot tips for those with an EV. Be sure to have the "Blink" app on your phone as there are 2 charges within walking distance through town. We waited till around 11:00pm when the chargers were vacant. We parked and charged the car as we slept. Grabbing the car around 5:30am when the charge ended. 7.6kw charges. Not fast but in this scenario worked very well for us. $17.00 bucks and the tank was full for another day of island exploration!!

I will start by saying I was very let down by this location. I booked this through my Delta stays…read moreand expected it to be more on the up and up. When I first arrived it was like a ghost town, there was no other car anywhere around . When First arriving I looked around the grounds and overall it looked pretty but was not kept up at all, tons of potential for the gardens and I could easily have those grounds looking amazing in a matter of a couple of days and very little cost. Now its time to go inside, the front door entrance is manned by a digital smart lock to get in. There are no employees inside either, empty desk sitting by the door thats small, over to the left a small coffee pot and a water kettle and then a room with what looks like for the Bistro that also has apparently been closed for a long time and breakfast was something mentioned. The inside is very pretty but very dated. A friend of mine found some history about the place they also do not like to add to their site and they should since some would love it. Apparently the place is supposed to be haunted, a long time ago it says it was a nursing home and other things. I joked that my room or my toothbrush was haunted the first night but thats a story for another time. Going past the office area there is what looks like once was a bar for people to come and have a drink and hangout, it just had bottles of water on the bar. To the right there is a room with a couch, some chairs and a fireplace I did not see turned on once or a way to turn it on easily. Got to my room next which was number 2 and straight in from the front entrance pretty much. The rooms are also on a smart lock and they text you these codes way ahead of time, I sure hope they randomize them too after stays. I go into the room and its smaller than I was expecting but thats fine, to the left we have a closet with a couple of the roughest robes I ever decided to try on, they feel like a cheap towell and same type of material. The bathroom is right after that closet and the bathroom is not too horrible but also a bit dated, they could not even match the light bulbs. The shower looked like it could use a good cleaning including the showerhead with a lot of scale buildup. The mirror had chips in it and sharp edges being a bit unsafe for those not paying attention. Now into the room itself, there was an antique style dresser that was not antique, you can see the wood warping on the top from moisture as well. On that there is one of the smallest tv's ever with old resolution. The bed was not the most comfortable nor the bedding itself. On the patio is a hot tub thats a bit smaller than I expected it to be. The hedges are way overgrown and also limit some of the view, I seen from old comments this has been an issue for a while they fail to address. The fixtures have old style dim bulbs in them.The room had no fridge, no microwave, no coffee pot etc. You have to go out to the office area and brew a pot yourself since they also do not brew any coffee for the guest it appears in the mornings either, still no employees found during the morning hours. The curtains for the sliding door were falling apart and you could not easily close them nor have full privacy. The sliding door does not even lock, they have a piece of flimsy wood for it. The 2nd night there were complaints of rooms out of power, found the father of the owner showing up at the same time and was asking me if I had power. The internet was also down the entire time while cell phone coverage being extremely limited so I had to drive to town just to be able to load anything and I had a lot to get done. I will say this hotel is a waste of money, this is one hotel or inn I will not return to, even budget motels offer more. Looking at some of the reviews here and I see some of these issues has been around for more than a couple of years and the owners have not addressed a single one of them. How they remain in business is beyond me, maybe due to the travel sites still listing it as more.

We all enjoyed the firepit on the grassy landing and the Moon Rock Arch and Gazebo were great for pics.Beds were also very comfy with lots of fluffy pillows and entertaining area upstairs had warm blankets so we could enjoy sunsets from the deck.We cant thank Celine and her staff enough for making our wedding special and providing a new place for our yearly tradition get togethers.
