UNBELIEVABLE from start to finish!!!! My daughter and her fiance are low-key people (not "low-key" like my students misuse it; the old-fashioned low-key). They searched and searched for a place that matched their vibe and their pocketbook. And even though Sadie Lake was almost two hours from their home, it proved to be the perfect choice (well, except for the local dinosaur infestation). From Day 1, they' were in love with DeeDee. She offered lots of items for free that couples usually have to pay to rent or buy. Everything was all listed on her website so even those of us in other states could peruse. The location is so beautiful and the premises really felt quaint and homey, not formal and stuffy like some venues. And then there were things that no other venue offered, like the boat on the lake for some fantastic photos! I think the bonus was that it was probably the least expensive place they looked at. Deedee's not in it to make bank; she does it because she has a beautiful place that she wants others to enjoy on their special day. As the mother-of-the-bride, I'm not surprised that I thought it was the second best wedding I've been to (don't I have to pick my own as #1), but soooo many guests told me they felt the same way. Both DeeDee and the Sadie Lake property are absolute gems. The oasis is truly tucked away in an otherwise normal Snohomish neighborhood. Many of my guests were in awe of its location and what it provided. As more or less locals, we never knew the event space existed and I am so thrilled to be able to recommend this venue tenfold.  DeeDee is such an enthusiastic and flexible host. I was very nervous to hold a micro wedding, but with all the amenities Sadie Lake provides, I feel like all I had to do was show up and get dressed. As DeeDee assured me early on, Hobby Lobby basically exists within her inventory. Probably twice over. DeeDee is very diligent and detailed about maintaining an updated inventory list on her website. All of which is available for use. My communication to her regarding decor was late, but when the big day came, everything was provided, ready to go and with recommendations. The venue was prepped on my arrival: barn furniture rearranged, all the guest chairs, collapsing tables, moving arbors... DeeDee ensured all the heavy lifting was already taken care of.  During the planning stages, DeeDee graciously hosted many open houses and decorating events. As an upcoming bride, I appreciated being able to return to the venue repeatedly with various members of my party. It was on one of these occasions DeeDee referred me to my final two vendors for linens and catering. Not only was she hosting my event, but she had ready to-go solutions with trusted parties within her network. I underestimated the benefits of having vendors that work well with eachother. Communicating my needs and trusting DeeDee's intuition was 100% worth it in terms of vendor choice. Never once was I made to feel like a request was unwelcome. I feel that DeeDee genuinely enjoys her work. The rapport we had together made the event feel much less like a wedding and so much more like a the simple family gathering I envisioned. Her expectations of guests are nothing different than that of my own home: treat the property with respect, behave yourselves, return things how you found it, and dont be scared to ask for help. read more

We toured it, met DeeDee and Mark, and sealed the deal. Not only was Sadie Lake beautiful but it offered an intimate setting and decor that was exactly what we wanted. My brother and his fiancé wanted to find something special as they looked for a venue for their wedding. A friend suggested they take a look at Sadie Lake Weddings. I stepped in a bit later, about 2 weeks before the wedding day to help coordinate final details, as my brother didn't have a wedding planner. I worked with DeeDee at Sadie Lake to make sure we had everything in place to make the day beautiful. I can't say enough about how great this experience was. I am a project manager by trade so I'm used to dealing with details (and planning a wedding involves a lot of details!). DeeDee helped us find vendors for catering and photography and bridal hair/makeup, etc., and she was so prompt in answers to all of our questions. She made this easy for us. We had our wedding here on October 2, 2021 and it was absolutely fantastic! The location is absolutely breathtaking and the pond, the barn, the outdoor tent, the grooms quarters...everything is perfect! Deedee (the owner) is such a sweet woman and is amazing to work with.
