DO NOT GO TO THIS HORRIBLE NAIL SALON. SEE PICS BELOW If I could give it -5 stars I would have. I went in for a gel pedicure and a uv gel fill in. After having to explain that 4 times they finally sat me down. The woman sat me down turned the boiling hot water on and walked away - not even asking me if it was okay. She walked away for so long that the foot bath OVER FLOWED. Another woman came over and started on my pedicure. I told her I wanted white gel and she brought over regular polish. I told her again "gel please" and she ignored me. Then the owner walked in. She came over and SHE started to work on my pedicure. Now that's the third woman working on my pedicure. I had my purse on the pull out table attached to my seat and the wonder stood up, picked up my purse and then threw it on my lap and punt the side table back down shouting "put this on your lap". Then she started shouting about the price of the services I asked for. Not only stressing me out entirely but making everyone in the nail salon look over at me. She repeated herself about three times. She was so rough on my feet, she over painted onto my skin and instead of removing it with the tool that would just pull it off she sat there with a dry paper towel trying to scrub it off with her nails. Before I even realized it was over and she said "put your shoes on; go to 5". I get to the manicure table and sit down. She kept telling me "you need to get a French, I'll charge you $10 extra" I said I don't want a French and I kept telling her I did not want a French I wanted just a natural pink. She picked the color, didn't even show me and got to work. She asked if I wanted them cut I said yes a little. SHE CUT MY NAILS IN HALF. She painted on the UV so high up my nails that she had to buffer off my skin, I left with cuts all over my fingers. After my nails dried and were absolutely horribly done she just told me to leave. She didn't wipe my nails with alcohol , give me a hot towel, massage, NOTHING. Just "your nails are dry, you're done, leave". Horrible horrible experience and I am beyond upset and IN PAIN. After three years, I decided to give Happy Nails a try again. HUGE MISTAKE! My appointment was at 3:00- they took me at 3:20 and I was done in less than 12 minutes. No effort to the massage, hardly any work on my feet as in cutting the nails, filing, cuticles, etc. and the water was so cold! I had to tell her to warm it up. The experience was once again, pitiful. They only accept cash and she literally stood too close to me waiting for a tip- yes utterly awful. I get that summer is starting to wind down in this busy shore town. Nonetheless, when you're open for business you should try to give good service. What I got when I walked into this nail salon, was a displeased operator (the owner). I had an appointment and there were only two other people in the salon. They took me right away, but did not say hello to me, or look me in the eye. My pedicure started with luke warm water - a bit disappointing but not the end of the world. She clipped my nails, but did not file them afterwards. She barely trimmed the cuticles. I mentioned that I would like to have some attention to my rough heals, which she barely buffed with a pumice sponge for less than a minute each foot. There was no leg massage, she just put on moisturizer and called it a day. The polishing job was sloppy, and extra polish not cleaned up. All tolled I was done in under fifteen minutes. When I mentioned that this was not to my liking, I was told if I bought a bigger package a better job would have been done. I don't think the job done for me was worth the $27. Actually I don't think it was worth $7. Needless say, I won't be back, and I live here year round, which may not seem like a big loss, but when you only have three people in your place, it speaks to the fact that this place in over. read more

Recently got a pedicure. Waited for 20 minutes in a massage chair. Generally, salons will have you soak your feet as you wait, but that was not the case here. The technician kept stabbing my cuticles as he trimmed. Also, he filed the calluses on my heels, but not my toes. I never had a salon massage my calves and not my feet. He never apply any type of moisturizer to my feet! The paint was pretty uneven. My daughter was with me and did not enjoy her pedicure either. When I went to pay, the tech screamed across the salon for my debit card PIN number . I told him that I would type it in the machine myself. He didn't seem to know what he was doing. Horrible business. had been going here for years in the summer and even off season with guests. I always felt they over charged me and would make up reasons to charge more. Had nails done (acrylic fill) and they all started lifting two days later. They told me it was my fault and wanted to charge me again. Don't recommend going. Did not clean under my nails, did not clean cuticles, bad customer service and job on my nails

I never felt so rushed. Manicurist spent 30 seconds massaging my hands. No foot massage. Cuticles were pushed in another 30 seconds. The manager practically kicked me out of the drying station after about 5 minutes despite no one else needing to use it. The atmosphere is anything but relaxing. Another thing that rubbed me the wrong way was that the manager picked up the tip money for my manicurist. I don't know what their system is- maybe all tips go to a common pot or maybe they go to her own pocket but it certainly makes me raise my eyebrows. I used to live in Margate years ago and I visit Margate every summer since moving away in 2006. I used to love coming here but today was my last visit. There have to be better places. read more

Happy Nails is located just around the corner from my permanent home in Margate. I go to the salon regularly for my manicures/pedicures. Leo and Tina, as well as their staff, are extremely hard workers. They are at the salon 7 days a week! The summer months are just crazy and it's very difficult to keep up with the volume of people that come to the salon. I definitely avoid going there on the weekends in the summer. A lot of people who do go in the summer have no patience and they don't understand the chaos in the salon. When I do get there, they are professional, friendly and accommodating. The new nail process of dipping (SNS) is done extremely well and my nails last for weeks. They are reasonably priced and I highly recommend going here. read more

Horrible service! $27 for a 10-15 minute pedicure, with literally a 30 second leg massage (not even the feet), and polish. In and out in just about 15 minutes and all she did was try to sell me on the spa pedicure and buying products. Then when I was done, she asked if I want to sit and dry or leave. My initial gel manicure was great- staff was friendly and nails looked awesome. Two nails chipped within the first two days and I went back in and they fixed them no problem for free! Had a beautiful, even set of acrylics when i went in to get a fill. Came out with a bunch of uneven nails and a poor polish job. The employees were rude to us, would not provide a refund, and were heard being rude to other customers as well. Don't go here-there are plenty of other places to choose from in the area. Should be called UNHAPPY NAILS! The Worst, up there with Annie's in Ventnor. Nail tech (older lady with glasses) was obviously unhappy that I wanted a plain old manicure. If I could give zero stars I would! I was anything but happy with my experience at Happy Nails. The woman there talked me into getting the powder dip, stating that it was full of vitamins and would strengthen my nails. I sat down with the man as he literally sawed my skin as he was filing. When my nails were finished they initially looked good, but once it was time to take the powder off, my nails were in the worst condition they've ever been in. My nails were so thin I could feel my pulse. Two weeks later after aggressively applying nail strengthener, my nails are still thin and brittle from the cuticle to the tip. I made an appointment for a friend and myself... the pedicures were very brief but okay. There was paint on our skin, but we didn't complain. Then, I got a manicure, again, very brief. The paint was super thick, didn't cover my nails and was also all over my skin. When I complained (very nicely), someone else added a third coat. I tried to explain I didn't need another layer, I just wanted my actual nails painted smoothly. Another woman grabbed my hands took off all of the paint, and said, "You can leave." First and last time going to this place. The manicure itself was average however the customer service was HORRIBLE. The woman kept yelling loudly at me to be completely still. I accidentally chipped a nail while it was drying and she became angry. When I went to leave I only had a card and asked how to leave a tip and she screamed and said they only accept cash and that I needed to go find an ATM. Then her husband (who was very kind) comes and says I am able to leave a tip on my card. She also was telling how much I should tip and wanted me to leave a 45% tip for average work and terrible customer service. If I was looking to get my nails done, you are better off waiting or doing them yourself at that point. Especially if you have a younger daughter, they tend to bully younger women. read more

My daughter & I came in here for waxing. She was a little nervous and the woman who helped us was extremely nasty. She made it clear that she was very annoyed with us. The wax was extremely hot- hotter than normal. She ended up leaving wax on my face and I had to get it off myself. She seemed extremely annoyed that my daughter was hesitant and she just left the room. She ended up doing my daughter's eyebrows in the end and when she was done she just told my daughter "you're done" & she shut off the light while my daughter was still in the room. A decent place to get your nails done down the shore. Clean and they do a good job. My main issue is that whenever I come for a pedicure, they take me back like they are ready for me, but I end up sitting in the chair with my feet in the water for more than 20 minutes as the water gets cold before anyone comes over. The nail tech became angry when I told them just a polish change and made me pay first. She used a dirty file and I became grossed out and told her to stop . Just went with some friends and had a great experience! The man who did my nails was so nice! So friendly, and did a great job with my nails! He glued my broken nail and he gave me beautiful gel manicure. He knew every costumer by name and there was a great atmosphere. This place is awful. They don't keep appointments, take clients out of order. They had me in the manicurist chair beginning my services and when a person with a later appointment than me complained, they moved me to the waiting area. So unprofessional. When i told them I no longer wanted the manicure because I'd already been waiting so long and my two companions were almost finished with their services, they still tried to charge me for removing my gel. They are awful. Avoid this place at all costs. Go a little further for higher end service and professionalism at the same price Edited to add these ODBs gave me an infection in my finger. Went to get a spa pedi which I always get done at home. Would not recommend to anyone!! They have no idea what they are doing. Didn't cut cuticle, didn't do dead skin removal. Absolutely horrible. The owner who did my nails kept getting up and going into the back and yelling at her employees. There is nail polish all over my nail bed and the side of my fingers. A 4th grade could have polished them better. She didn't cut my cuticles and there is even more polish smothered over my cuticles.
